Prices are high some parts you could buy new for the same or less. I would only use them as a last resort.

Don't trust their site because even if they show the part in stock they really have no idea if they have it or not. This would be OK if it was still 1970, but it's not. There's an easy way to track this stuff folks, it's 2023 now. Want to sell more parts and make more money, heck, maybe even raise your prices a tad?? Track your inventory, especially, super simple stuff like car seats! It's pretty obvious if those have been pulled. You'll actually increase customer satisfaction as well. Oh, a win win... I visited this LKQ today in search of a 350z window motor and had a solid experience. Yes there is a $3 fee to enter the junkyard and the customer service reps that answer phone calls will immediately inform you of that if you call to do a vehicle search (a search that you can also do online very conveniently from what I read). As luck would have it, this particular location (Clearwater) was the only LKQ in the surrounding area to have a 350z, and it just so happened to be the same exact year as mine (albeit not in any kind of proud shape)! The gentlemen working there are very serious because they have to be. I joked about putting parts in my pants and while they chuckled with me about it, I got the feeling that people really pull those stunts. Mike seemed to be the head honcho in charge and he was very fun to interact with....I might even go so far as to say he is a jolly old fellow (I really hope he is reading this). One of the guys working there named Dan was super cool and helped me pull a part when I got stuck without the proper tools. I know, I'm a female, so I am aware that such help is probably hard to come by if you're a male, but if you're a male, I guess it is expected that you're handy with the tools when you visit the junkyard. Also, the only bathrooms are portolets, so...hold it if you can. If you can't, they weren't too awful looking...I'd just avoid it as much as possible. They refunded me the part I returned due to not needing it, and even credited me the discount for bringing back my old non-working window motor. In short, I'm sure there are plenty of junkyards around (many of which I visited at the ripe age of 19), but if you're interested in saving money and you have the time, LKQ is bound to be worth your while....just go with a fully charged phone so you can YouTube things when you get stuck midway through! read more

They had exactly what I was looking for exactly where it was supposed to be exactly when it was supposed to be there this is a refreshing thing if you've ever scrounge the boneyard before looking for a certain part you know what I'm talking about. Selfish employees. My boyfriend needed two specific parts for our vehicle in order to get it operational, we knew exactly what parts and where to find them at this location, but when we showed up about 10 minutes before closing they turned my boyfriend away saying "no we're closed". He told the gentleman that he has his tools and knows exactly what to grab the parts off of and would be done by the time they closed. He told him "too bad, we are closed now." I personally work for a company that works closely with LKQ for parts distribution so I find it quite disgusting that they would treat their customers this way with such an ugly demeanor and such little compassion during a time of crisis like this for some and during their own set hours of operation. read more

Dishonest and Troublesome. A great company, but with problematic, disrespectful, dishonest and rude staff. I visited these facilities on May 18/2021, when I paid they gave me extended guarantees that I did not want and indicated that the computer did it automatically, I asked for a supervisor and they indicated that there was none, I called customer service instantly and they agreed with me, after a long wait, discussions between the customer service employee via phone with the 2 cashiers, they decided to cancel the order and refund me reluctantly and with a grotesque attitude, they charged me for everything again, But when I checked my credit card bill they gave me $ 14.00 less, that does not make me richer or poorer, but it is my money. It is unfortunate that this has happened to me 2 times there, in the Largo and Tampa Florida facilities they are excellent, as I am a very frequent customer. They do have the cars they advertise, but their customer service is subpar. Like...just because I'm a mechanic and dirty, does not mean you must assume I'm stealing. How do you prove what you had in your tool box wasn't stollen from the yard? If I'm buying $200 worth of stuff, you'd think I'm not gonna steal burnt out bulbs you found in my tool box? Check your tool boxes. If it ain't a tool, they'll question you & make you feel like a thief...which is stupid on their part, as that's really poor customer service. read more

Pretty solid junk yard. Lots of late model pickup trucks to pick over. Staff is super friendly and helpful and just tell them you're new and need a run-down. Here's the basics: $2 entry fee, bring your own tools, they provide wheel barrows and big chain hoists, they accept cash & CC. They are certainly a lot cheaper than new parts. If you're an auto DIYer this place(and junkyards in general) can save you a TON $$$. Certainly worth your time in many situations. Prices seem fair to me but i'm no expert. read more

Arrived at 5:15pm on a Tuesday, they close at 6. Was told by a rude man behind the counter that I have 1/2 hour and then they will let the dog out. I hadn't said anything until that point. Threatening a customer with a junkyard dog is exceedingly rude and unprofessional. I realize that I'm a girl and not exactly predisposed to liking this stuff, but I had a fun Saturday morning outing here recently and can't wait to go back and see what treasures I can find and extract! I felt pretty useless as we made our clumsy approach and paid our entry fee. Why should I pay a fee if I can't really extract anything? Must be like a club in there or something, right? Wrong. It's basically a well arranged junk yard. There are cars in rows on blocks in the hot sun with stuff living inside of them. But if you can find a way to pick the parts off you want and need, then they're all yours for a nominal fee. A lot of hipsters at this place hanging about picking over car carcasses for the perfect part. Staff can tell you where the car you need is located just be sure you have the right tools because it's just you out there. After my recent Plasti-dip discovery this place is a gold mine, or could be! read more

Save your time and money. The only thing in the yard are vehicles that LK Q has picked over themselves to sell online. You won't find anything in there from 1950 to 1970 as those won't make it on the yard because they pull the parts and leave the garbage vehicles for people to pick at.
