Pick 'n Save Persian: Pick 'n Save is a regional grocery store that is found in WI and IL. It is operated by Roundy's, which is a subsidiary of Kroger. Fun fact, one of the Doughboy's first jobs in high school was at a Pick 'n Save. A Pershing is a doughnut that is similar to a cinnamon roll, but is made with doughnut batter. The cinnamon flavor is subtle, but I could see the cinnamon granules in the dough after taking a few bites. I found the dough to have a nice thick and chewy texture while also being light and pillowy. The two versions I tried were topped with a sweet vanilla icing and the other with a creamy and sweet cream cheese frosting. I slightly preferred the frosting version, but both were excellent. I'm guilty of frequenting trendier doughnut shops, but the bakery at Pick 'n Save surpassed my expectations and is legit. Poor service, employees unfamiliar with the store THEY WORK IN. I asked an employee to direct me to the Frozen breakfast area. He said "The salads are over there (pointing left). I asked again, "Where are the FROZEN BREAKFASTS LIKE JIMMY DEAN" he pointed to the back of the store and said "Go down there and turn left. Dirty, and disorganized, only ONE staff member Liz showed me where the items were. Wanted to speak to Beth the Manager, but she was busy working as a checker and couldn't speak to me for "a while ". I didn't have time. This is why I prefer the smaller stores where people take pride in their store and are happy to help. I would think twice about going to another Pick n Save no matter what the sale. I wish there was a NEGATIVE STAR as a review. read more

In here on a Monday at 330 pm. Lines were excessive. Only one checker staffing 9 lines. In the self checkout lines one broke while using it and another already didn't work. So not only do you now get to check out and bag your own groceries but today did it twice. Lack of labor and service...the new norm while Kroger earns record profit. read more

They've done a poor job of remodeling this store, compared to other Pick n Saves in the area. Still looks basically the same other than the produce section, and they've moved several things around, seemingly for no reason whatsoever, and in some cases those moves make no sense. Oh, and to make things really annoying, they've place several cardboard "mini displays" in aisles, that make it impossible for two carts to pass one-another. These cardboard displays also block items on shelves. It's completely idiotic. At least they don't give me a hard time for 20 items instead of the 15 maximum items in the self checkouts (with nobody waiting behind me), unlike the 76th and Coldspring location. read more

Poorly understaffed store. Poor selection, items out of stock. Management hiding in a back room indifferent as the employees suffer. Just go to a non-Kroger based store and be happier all around. read more

Lines were more than 10 carts long and no extra employees to staff the lines. I will never shop here again.

Ample fresh produce section, large store, that I don't mind driving six extra miles past another Pick 'n' Save to get to this one for a big grocery haul. While I'm more often going to Sendik's on Rawson for some produce items, this Pick is much better than others in a six mile radius, so it's worth the drive. read more

Very large supermarket with all the usual stuff. Produce, meat, frozen, deli, pharmacy. Wide aisles, good lighting, shopping carts worked well and every time I passed by one of the employees, I got a hello. read more

Ok i come here for my grocery needs (if you don't find me at meijer first ) its close to me and convenient. They have a pharmacy and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. This location has a tri city bank inside store as well as outside in parking lot is a branch bank. They have curbside click list pick up . They practice cleaning protocol at the store. Get your household items grocery and your ahlocolic beverages get your lotto tickets or maybe get a red box movie thats located outside the door if anyone still does that. I like that if you have a rewards card you can click coupons and sometimes you can get free items and some good deals and its free to join. read more

As Pick N Saves go, this one is pretty good. Fairly good selection, nice produce, bakery, and deli sections. Typically supermarkets are a little short staffed, no exception here so you'll probably spend a little time waiting to check out. Maybe more so than other supermarkets the cashiers are trained to add nonsense words when they talk to you ("do you have a rewards card at all?" At all? Okay, you're right I sort of have a rewards cart a little bit). I've also been asked "Did you find everything okay?" When I answered, "I think I did indeed find everything in the store to be okay," I get funny looks. I'm still not sure what it is they mean. There's still so much in life I'm searching for. If you bring your own grocery bags or if you choose paper, they like to put less than five items per bag so they can get to plastic bags. I'm not sure why they prefer the plastic bags, but they are very resistant to filling either reusable or paper sacks tight and full. read more

Fairly clean supermarket. A little pricy for your normal everyday needs. Be sure to sign up for their perks card to receive discounts. Usually when paying through the self service line it's much better than dealing with their cashiers. You may want to do it yourself or hope you're gone to one that is having a good day lol. This location is pretty A-OK, all around. It's clean, reasonably priced, and offers a decent selection of options. It's certainly more pleasant than the location I went to on National back in college. The cashiers are always polite- even the teenagers with all their piercings (not that I have anything against piercings. . . ). They have a good selection of liquor, too; very important for all Wisconsinites, of course. As others have mentioned, definitely sign up for a Fresh Perks card. I've saved a lot of money with it! read more
