They moved us to our new home. It was a local move only about 7 miles. We hired them for all the furniture and about 50 boxes. We got one other bid from a competitor and Piccolo's Friendly Movers. I spoke to Jeff, the owner, about my quote. His quote was competitive with the other quote I received. Piccolo's had the better insurance coverage included in his price, the other company tried to sell me more coverage. Member Comments: Jeff, sent me an email about the rooms and items I wanted moved as a confirmation. Jeff also called me the day before the move to ensure everything was still good for our move. The morning of the move the team showed up at the time they said they would, they also called on their way to my house. The moving team was four guys, with one of them being the foreman. The crew was very friendly. They all introduced themselves to me before we did a walk through of my house to confirm and identify what was being moved. They were very good with our stuff. They took their time on some very heavy pieces that needed to be moved from the 2nd floor. They actually did a better job moving the items than the delivery company that delivered the items to our home originally. They wrapped all furniture in the room before they moved it to the truck. They also took apart all the beds and bed frames and wrapped those items as well. They also moved our upright piano. Upon arriving at our new house, again they were very courteous and asked where all the pieces should go. They reassembled all the items they had disassembled. They were careful bringing in all the pieces and boxes. As we unpack or looked over our furniture we did not see any damage. It was a long day and the crew worked very hard from beginning to the end. They made my family very happy by getting us setup in our new home. This was our first experience using a mover and we were afraid of all the rumors about bad experiences with movers. I am glad to say that Piccolo's Friendly Movers, has proved those to be nothing but rumors. Our experience was very positive and I would not hesitate using them or recommending them to someone who needs to move. read more

James Epp Gettysburg, PA 17325 Category: Moving Work Completed Date: May 11, 2015 Approximate Cost: $2,800.00 Description Of Work: Household move from storage into home We had a job scheduled by another mover to move our 4 bedroom house out of storage and into our new home. The other mover was a "no call, no show" on the appointed date and we were at a loss of what to do. We called Piccolo's Friendly Movers and I left a message explaining the situation. The owner, Jeff, called me back the same evening after 8:00 pm. He said he could work us in between some other jobs and move us over the course of three consecutive afternoons. I asked how long it would be before we could get in the queue and he said "how about tomorrow"!! We were ecstatic! He sent a crew of 2 the first day and 3 the next two days and they were awesome! They were great guys - lots of fun and easy to get along with. They handled our goods with kid gloves and took extra care because we had just had our hardwood floors redone. They helped us put felt stickies on the bottom of all the furniture as we brought it in, laid down protective blankets and didn't leave a mark. Jeff called every day to see how things were going and to ask if the crew was working to our satisfaction. We could not have been happier with Piccolo's and could not have had a better experience - they were awesome! If you need a mover, these are the guys to call - reasonable rates, ultra-careful, responsive and just a great experience. A+++++ read more

We were extremely pleased with this moving company. We have moved a number of times with various results from moving companies. There are several reasons we would (and have) recommended Piccolo's. First and over the phone quote was quite helpful. The result (due to my over estimate of the amount to be moved) was a bill below the quoted amount. But more importantly, the movers called as they were on the way and arrived when agreed upon. They worked quickly, professionally and treated our furniture as though it was their own. The crew that did the work was polite and willing to answer any questions we had. They packed, unpacked, reassembled and placed our furniture exactly where we wanted. In one case I had miscalculated the size of one of the rooms and we needed to change the furniture configuration - they did this willingly and did not make me feel as though I was imposing upon them. All in all, we were so pleased that we have just booked them for our next move which will be in a couple of months. We most definitely recommend this company!!! read more

These guys are AWESOME! I called them with a short notice move and they made it happen. They showed up on time, with the stated amount of movers, and the right equipment. They worked non-stop from the first box on to the last box on. They packed the truck tight and make sure everything was safe. I actually made a few mistakes on the initial phone call for estimating and it ended up taking 2 truck loads instead of 1 but they did it all on the same day. They stayed and worked until 10 PM at night and my rate was incredibly fair compared to what some people were charging. I had 1 item that was broken on the move and they took care of it on the spot. Literally, it was a 5 star experience from start to finish. Also, I have had the pleasure of moving across country with a different provider and I have to say that Piccolo's Friendly Movers destroyed the other national company in service, quality, and professionalism. If you are looking for a mover, these guys are who you want to hire. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. He operates it with no true physical address to even track him down! HE OPERATES WITH NO REAL ADDRESS: HE IS NOT LICENSED WITH THE STATE. HIS TRUCKS HAVE NO MARKINGS; HIS DOCUMENTS NO LICENSE NUMBER. THE STATE HAS GONE TO GREAT LEGTHS EDUCATING US TO ONLY HIRE A LICENSED CONTRACTOR ASSURING YOU THEY ARE PROPERLY INSURED - WHY RISK IT. Check his web site, no address. Search internet, just Bull Rd with no street number or zip code. If his business forms and card still list 2572 Eastwood Drive York 17402 it is not his address. This man's crew did extensive damage to a commercial style lawn mower when supervisor "Bob" drove it off the truck lift from 4-5 feet in the air. Will not release insurance info or pay for damage. All employees are contracted per job. Rainy day move, Jeff assured us they would cover and wrap everything. Upholstered furniture was not covered and saturated. Really bad don't use them read more

These guys were excellent, no BS, just friendly professional hard-working movers. Jeff was upfront and honest with regards to the estimate and with a quick over the phone down payment the move was schedule. Morning of the move 4 guys showed up 15 minutes early with what ended up being the prefect sized truck. After a quick walk through of our townhouse they went right to work. I was surprised at how efficient and careful they were with all of our belongings. Once moved we even did a walk through of our new house to survey the furniture for potential damage and proper placement within each room. I feel they went above and beyond to serve our needs, while still being the cheapest option that I came across. Five stars, I highly recommend this company for your move! I have also read the other reviews and, based on my personal experience, am shocked that we are talking about the same company. read more

I spoke with five different moving companies before deciding on using these guys. The price Jeff gave on the phone wasn't the highest or the lowest out of all the quotes we received. The reason i used this company was because Jeff made me feel very comfortable. I made a great decision. We were moving a 2,000 square foot home and a large storage unit into a home. A problem with closing delayed us about 3 hours, and the guys didn't bat an eye! They were extremely helpful. When I called Jeff, he told me to take care of what I had to and they would be ready when we were done. Besides the fact that the move went exactly how we had wished it would, the guys were extremely fun to be around. This made for a less stressful moving day. I have already referred to coworkers to them and won't hesitate to refer anyone who asks. Thanks Piccolo's for making our move a great experience! read more

I was thoroughly satisfied with Piccolo's. I run a theatre company and needed a tem to help me move back into my space after a major renovation. Jeff quoted me a fair price for 4 movers and a 26' truck. He checked in with me a few days before the move to confirm. On the day of the move, one of the workers was sick and unable to work. Jeff adjusted the rate appropriately and Leo, Mike and Dakota got to work. All three of these guys were concientious, motivated and had seemingly unbounded energy. I'm not going to lie, I worked them hard and they kept up with me every step of the way. We moved A LOT of stuff in about 9 hours. Nothing was broken, everything was handled with care. The truck was packed expertly each time. These guys worked hard and kept a positive attitude throughout a very long and challenging day. Will absolutely hire again. read more

My husband and I used this moving company twice. The guys came on time, worked continuously to move our large household, and didn't even complain when they had to heft large kitchen appliances from our garage to the kitchen at our new location. But best of all? They were able to move us with less than 24 hours notice after our contracted moving company CANCELLED our move on moving day. I have never seen movers work as hard, and as quickly, as this crew. They wrapped everything, loaded it without ever taking a break, and arrived at our new location before I did, and I only stayed behind for less than an hour to complete cleaning the house, while they stopped for lunch. I would recommend them to anyone who wants an honest day's work for a reasonable pay, and a great company that delivers on their promise. read more

I started gathering quotes 2 months before our move. I ended up speaking to 4 different moving companies. From the 1st call, I had a good feeling from speaking with Jeff on the phone. He went into great detail explaining how everything would go. I did receive 2 quotes that were just a bit lower, but decided to go with these guys. Jeff sent 6 guys that were just incredible. They protected all of my furniture. Our 4 bedroom house was moved within 7 hours, and we moved 30 minutes away. Not a single thing was damaged. The movers were all extremely friendly, and they were fun to work with. We had our 7 year old grandson that day, and the movers even made him feel like he was involved and were even referring to him as the boss. Excellent experience all around. I highly recommend. read more

I am so very pleased with this company. We booked our move two months before, so when the company had a change in their schedule, Jeff called me to move my date. He not only gave me a date that would work for our schedule, he gave me a discount because he had to move back the day. The team that came out was wonderful! very respectful and huddled with us at first to plan out the day. They emptied out our home and then we had to head to my storage place to empty that out. They were professional and hard working. I will make sure I always use this company as well as my family and friends. I used this company based on the positive feedback I read on the sites. Use them! You will not be disappointed!! read more

We were in a tough position where we needed to move out of our old home but couldn't move into our new one till the next day. They sent a crew out to move us out, held our belongings in their truck overnight and came to move us in our new home the next day after settlement. They were more than accommodating. We had two different crews each day and they were both extremely nice and professional. The owner also checked in with me both days to make sure things were going well. Would 100% recommend this company to everyone. It was worth every penny to have them help us out with this tricky moving situation and do all of the heavy lifting. Thank you guys so much!! read more

I can't thank Jeff and his team of movers enough. I was in a bad situation and I needed to get out quickly. Jeff squeezed me in, on a day where he already had 2 other moves scheduled. He said he couldn't get to me until about 2pm. They showed up about an hour earlier, and worked so hard the entire time. These guys were so friendly and extremely helpful. I was very not prepared but they didn't complain at all. I had my 6 year old son there and they did their best to include him the whole day. He was actually upset when the guys were done and were getting ready to leave. I will definitely recommend them. Thank you so much! read more

I called Piccolos movers for a second time to get some antique pieces and valuables out of storage and to my home (that they already move us into this year), seamless again. They took great care of our valuables and antiques. Everything was wrapped in plastic wrap or shrink wrap I think they called it, and they were very efficient, rarely taking breaks which I appreciated considering we were on an hourly rate. The owner, Jeff, handled everything quickly and it was very easy AGAIN!!! I'll never hire another mover as long as Piccolos is around! Thanks guys for everything!!!!!! read more

My experience with Piccolo's Friendly Movers was fantastic. I had a lot of furniture and large heavy items to move, many from basement to basement. They carefully wrapped furniture in blankets and plastic wrap. They moved items with out dinging walls and without leaving handprints. They packed items quickly and efficiently. They estimated a price based on an inventory I provided using their app and the estimate was very close. They even used their blankets as floor protectors as it had begun to rain during my move. The guys were friendly and polite. I would use them again. read more

This was a great moving experience! Jeff, the owner, was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule on very short notice and charged a fair price to unload a POD into a new apartment. His team, Leo and Eric, did an amazing job! They arrived on time and did not leave until the job was done. They worked tirelessly for hours, were very professional, reassembled furniture, were respectful of me and my belongings and did so much more. I am so grateful to them for their service. The experience far exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend Piccolo's! Friendly Movers. read more

I am so glad I chose this company for our move. Under rough circumstances (ice, snow and cold), they moved my daughter's things into storage from a third floor walk-up. They did it in record time to beat a snow squall that was bearing down and would have meant boxes getting snow on them before being stored. The scheduling was easy, the price was right, and the two movers were professional with a positive attitude. I wish I had posted this sooner as I am not certain of their names. I think one of the two was Kevin. Anyway, I would hire this company again. read more

Jeff is really easy to work with. He is very reachable and he likes to help people that are in a bind. On short notice he was able to get his guys to help me move out of an apartment. I had many large and heavy items, fridge, cabinets, tables, beds, washer/dryer etc. His men arrived promptly and got to work immediately. They were fast and professional. Everything was moved without damage. It should be noted that Jeff's prices are really reasonable. Much lower than all of the other movers I called. I highly recommend Piccolo's Friendly Movers. read more

The Best You Can Get!! I was so happy I have found these guys. They were great. Confirmed the time and place 1 day before and when they were on the way with an ETA. They were on the dot there. Courteous and Professional I could not have asked for more. We had more than we anticipated, but they were diligently and hard working to get all our contents into a storage unit. I couldn't have asked for more. I will be booking them when we close on our new home to move everything out of storage. Kudos to Jeff and his team - Bobby and Jordan. read more
