I called to book before we closed on our new home and the owner was extremely rude to me for no reason. There must have been broken reception, so when I asked a question (If we needed to change the moving date, if there was a policy for that?) I never heard the answer to it. He continued and asked for my information, which I provided and before the call ended I asked my question again to which he rudely said "I just answered you". So I stated that I didn't hear it. He then answered it and I just didn't fully understand what he explaining so I asked if he could be more clear or explain it differently because I didn't understand. He was very rude. Asked me if there was a problem and if I wanted to cancel. He said that there isn't another way to explain it and he cant help me. He even asked me if I wanted to cancel, all because I didn't understand what he said. All of this was on speakerphone and the other adults in the room with me were shocked and also did not understand what he said. In the end, he said there is no policy but I called him with more than 2 weeks notice than he will change it but if its within 2 weeks then he keeps the Security deposit we made and we would have to make another one for the new date. Even though he was extremely rude for no reason. We ended up having an issue with our water heater and we tried to push back the move in date, then we left it the same, and again I tried to move it, but the date was over 2 weeks away so we just kept the original date. The owner was fine with this, he wasn't rude when dealing with me during this. The second time I tried to change it was just the day before the move. Him and I spoke on the phone and in the end just confirmed the same time and day as the original booking (the next morning at 7:30am). The next morning, my husband was trying to be nice and let me sleep in. He woke me at 7:30 am and I woke to 18 missed call, which started at 7:18am. I called back immediately and again, the owner was very rude. He said "My guys are already heading back to the shop. I told you I would call 30 minutes prior." and even "What were you doing not answering your phone?" I told him my husband was trying to be nice and let me sleep in. He followed by asking me "Why? because I knew the movers were coming" and I said "Yeah, thats why im awake now." He even tried to tell me I wasted 45 minutes of their time (which it was only 15). In the end, the ONLY reason they were calling me is because he got my information wrong the first time we spoke. His attitude must have gotten in the way of him hearing me correctly. I politely corrected it and he said he would send them back but it would take them 30 minutes to arrive since they were already headed back to the shop. It was about 10 minutes later and the movers arrived. The began moving all of our things and packing it into the truck(around 8am). The made two trips in the end. The trip itself is 5.7 miles and 11 minutes to make. The moved almost all of my stuff into the garage of the new place with some furniture into the rooms of the home, id say 70% in the garage. The lead mover brought the bill to me which was significantly more then we discussed, they charged me for start at 7:30, not the 8am for which they did start. Even though the 8am, was written down but the scratched it off and put 7:30am for some reason. The also took breaks while driving from home to home (which is fine) but its not right to charge me for that. Not only this but in the end, they charged me for more hours then they were even there, and thats including their breaks. The military discount I was promised was also not honored. They also make you sign the bill hours before they finish so there isn't a way to know the right timing for the move that far in advanced. Once everything was done the movers told me they broke a bookshelf I had. I was told they put their foot on it and thats how it broke. Seems the only reason one would put their foot on a shelf, is if they were stepping on it. So they may not be the most cautious movers. In the end, they told me that if they paid me (through the "insurance") that the amount they gave me would come out of their pay so I said not to worry about it. The also moved a glass coffee table for me that I saw the mover carrying with the glass all at once, the lead mover cautioned him to be careful with that glass, and I cannot find the glass to save my life. So they either took it with them (and never bothered to call me) or they broke it(and never bothered to tell me). In the end, I dislike the owner very much. He is very unprofessional and rude. If we move again, I would definitely try another company just based off of my interactions with him. P.S. I will post the text messages he sent me so you can see how rude and dramatic he is.

They were on time and indeed very friendly. We moved on November 2, and when we finally got our tv hooked up about 10 days later, we were told that one of our sets was broken :-( We had purchased insurance, but as it had a $500 deductible, it did us no good on that. Since then, we have been noticing scratches and dents on a couple pieces of furniture, including the leg of a nice bookcase and a nasty scratch on an antique chestnut step-back cupboard. a broken wheel on our elliptical (which they did tell us about when it happened). One of them had no mask on all day but the other 3 wore masks. They were very inexpensive, that's for sure, but not sure it was worth the broken tv and the scratches - which could have been avoided with more care. We emailed details of the tv breakage and sent 2 pictures -- but never heard back from them. I would not use them again. M & L G.

Great Crew!

5 Stars just isn't enough for the level of service we experienced with Piccolo's Friendly Movers. "Friendly" is an understatement. These guys make you feel like you were part of the family. Showed up 5-10 minutes early each day like every professional should and was ready to go to work. Smiles everywhere and had a great sense of urgency. Safe, clean, reliable, personable, ... the list of compliments can go on and on. Bottom line, If you want a team that treats your property with respect, care and concern as if it was their own...... this is the company you want to use to move your stuff!

This is what happened to my antiques. Scuffed, chipped missing parts. Don't call Piccolos

The first mover I contacted talked a great game but in the end my spidey sense kicked in and I realized it must be a scam as he asked me several times within an hour for his deposit of $250. I later found reviews that said he took the money and never showed up. Now I'm really in trouble - as far as I knew, my parents could be released any day without much advanced warning. I went back to my Yelp reviews and decided to contact Mount Wolfe. I messaged the company and shortly heard back from Dwayne. I told him what I needed (it wasn't a huge amount of stuff - not too hard of a local move.) He gave me a quote almost immediately and it was a firm set price. The price included what most movers charged extra for - tax, mileage, fuel surcharge and many more items that could take a reasonable rate into something sky high. We added a few pieces to my original inventory list and let Dwayne know, expecting an increase in price. Once again, Dwayne reiterated that this is a flat rate. We finally had a tentative release date, by now we were only a few days out. Dwayne was so very flexible for us. Then we found out there was a move in "window" that we had to fall into. Once again, Dwayne changed our time to fit our schedule. In fact, the day of, they even came earlier to make sure we met the window. They arrived in a big uhaul which made us a little quizzical but if you think about over head costs, for a small business, it might be a more cost effective way of controlling overhead. Whatever, it did the job. I stayed back, cleaned a little, ran a few errands and got to our drop of site. I was maybe 45 minutes behind and when I got there they were just about done emptying the truck. (They squeezed right through that window.). My brother had taken everything apart at home but all three of them got everything put back together, placed where we wanted it (with a few "maybe over there, wait, no over there..." adjustments.) And like that, the move had been made. Nothing broken, scratched or missing. All the wrapping undone and taken away. Just like Dwayne promised, nothing additional. No surprises. Though it was by far the smallest move I've ever overseen, it was by a stretch the easiest one. I will use Mount Wolfe anytime I have to make a move. They really were the best.

He caused a 55 inch TV to almost fall on me due to another improper installation. Which caused damage to the wall. Yelp Update: I was asked by the owner Dwayne Wolfe to remove my review in order to receive my refund. It has been over 2 months now since our last email conversation. Dwayne Wolfe is not honest nor professional. I have been waiting since July 2025 to receive my refund for damages to my furniture and wall done during a move. I should have canceled the TV mount service being that I used his TV mount service before and that TV wasn't mounted correctly then. This time, I tried to give him a second chance only to have a 55inch TV almost fall on me due to another improper installation. Which caused damage to the wall. It is now February 2026 and still nothing we had originally agreed per emails and text. Original Review: Last year, I had Dwayne and his crew move me from Lancaster Pa to Manchester PA. The move was great they took very good care of my Antique furniture and other containers. So because of that I reached out to Dwayne to handle my move to Alabama with a stop on the way in Maryland to pickup my partners things. Upon arrival she was told that everything may not fit. Which was very unprofessional when there was more than enough room for her things to fit. Especially, when the truck had more than enough room if packed correctly. Once they began packing all had fit and what small things didn't go we packed in the car. As we got closer to evening Dwayne advised that he was going to get a hotel and arrive to the house in Alabama in the morning. We arrived to the house at 9am and no call, text, or email from Dwayne. We went to get breakfast still no call, text,or email. I called while at breakfast and was told by Dwayne that the helpers woke up late and they will be at the house by 12pm. Upon their arrival at 2pm (5 hours late), Dwayne called and advised they were at the house and decided to unload the truck in the driveway. As we pulled up to the house from picking up cleaning supplies and water for the guys we noticed our stuff on the driveway like it was a garage sale or something. It was so unprofessional and disappointing to see. Then, after they moved the things into the house Dwayne seemed frustrated and annoyed when I asked about him installing the TV's and assembly of the beds which was part of the agreement. He proceeded to install the bed and TV's. He seemed to struggle to install a TV wall mount and TV on the wall. Then, I went out to the hardware store to pick up more proper screws for the TV mount. Not sure what he did with the screws he removed in Manchester for the same mount. All the screws were packed and labled to make the installations smooth. But while I was gone he assembled 1 queen frame and a twin futon. When I came back they placed the TV on the wall and I looked at everything that wasn't till wrapped in plastic. They brought in the final piece of furniture. It was completely destroyed. I told them to leave it in the Garage. He decided to leave it right at the entrance of the garage door. So I had to move it to the side wall myself. He said it was fixable and its not. We went to sleep woke up the next morning sat back on the bed and the bed shifted with a loud bang. Noticed that the bed wasn't properly assembled screws missing and loose. I immediately checked everything. The twin bed was missing screws and shifting left and right. My antique coffee table was scuffed in mutiple places, dinning table scuffed, dressers scuffed, bed frame chipped and scuffed, some China plates cracked and destroyed, desk missing a part, screws checked and noticed screws were loosened and had to be tightened and the motor bar was disconnected, computer monitor mount was chipped like it was dropped on the ground. I was emailed by Dwayne to sent photos was told by email that they did their best and I would be fully compensated. I'm still waiting.

Some of the other moving companies I contacted never returned my voicemail. We got my move scheduled a few weeks before it was to happen. This was very easy with me discussing the details with Pam as well as texting her photos of the rooms and larger items. There were some blips in the delivery of the Pod and I am so grateful that Pam was able to reschedule with such short notice. Our move was a bit more complex. Double D's had to meet us at a location in Camp Hill to pick up a truck full of furniture. This was brought to our Harrisburg home. And then this as well as everything in our house was loaded into a 16 foot pod. Part of the reason I picked double D's was because of their glowing reviews and their ability to load a POD very tight. They exceeded expectations and used every bit of the pod from floor to ceiling. (A 16 foot POD is for a house up to 1400 ft.². This of course doesn't include your basement, attic, and garage.) They did an amazing job! We had a few items that did not fit and we expected this because a 16" pod is not as big as you expect it to be. (No big deal because we will drive them at another date to our new location.) They then drove these items back to the Camp Hill address where we could store them. The price was very fair. I can't say enough good things about this group.
