I stopped into Piccolo Pizza on my 30-minute lunch break and honestly wish I hadn't. I asked if they could make me a chef-style salad even though it's not on the menu just something with a good mix of meats, cheeses, and veggies. They agreed, and I was actually really appreciative at first because I thought it was going to be something solid. What I got for $13 was one of the smallest, most disappointing salads I've ever seen. It was basically a box of lettuce with barely anything else on it. Definitely not worth the price, and nowhere near what was described or expected. (Photos included.) On top of that, they forgot to give me the Pepsi I paid for. The owner came out and started explaining that they're new, which is fine everyone starts somewhere. I even offered my background in marketing and photography to try and be helpful. His response was dismissive and rude "everyone is one of those" and then he handed me a flyer to bring to my job. That interaction alone left a really bad impression. A few things that stood out: * The response to feedback was unprofessional * The product quality doesn't match the price * There's clearly a lack of experience in both service and execution I don't enjoy writing reviews like this, but this experience missed the mark across the board. We got a mushroom chicken pizza with stuffed crust, wings, and a 2L of Diet Pepsi. I was pleasantly surprised with the chicken because chicken on pizza is usually terrible quality and tastes like nothing, but my husband is a protein fanatic so chicken it is. This chicken is likely pre-seasoned frozen chicken because it reminds me of those chicken breasts you get from Costco with the grill marks, but it didn't have gristle and it tasted like something, so that was a plus. Sliced mushrooms, not canned. Seasoning on the stuffed crust was light but good. Cheese in the crust was okay. Chicken wings were decent. Way better than most pizza delivery wings, so I'm happy with them. They had Ken's ranch cups. The sauce and pizza itself were so very bland. We had to salt and season the pizza. I'm sure there is an audience for this style of food but it's not for this foodie couple who love having flavors tantalize their tongue. I've added a star for the wings, the speed of service, and the overall experience but had to knock out a couple stars for how bland the pizza is. We had a slice left over and when we opened the container the next day it smelled like...nothing. read more

To be honest, I expect more from this place based on its reviews. I placed an order for 10 piece wings (Buffalo) and Piccolos stuffed crust pizza. When I placed the order they said the wings come with ranch. When the order arrived the wings were overdone and under sauced with no ranch.... Spent 20 minutes on the phone with the girl who took the order trying to explain to her what I want and she couldn't get it right and ended up F*#@ my order. Tried to explain to her that I want both pizzas stuffed crust (both of them were regular crust). Tried to explain to her that I want the steak pizza with green olives, she kept insisting on green peppers., then she finally told me ok got it (still got it with green peppers). Told her that the driver has to deliver to the room or I'm not interested, after checking with the driver she told me ok. Yet, the driver sent me a message asking me to go down to the lobby to pickup. I explained to him the agreement, he said ok but it will take a little bit longer. Told him no problem, just knock at the door and leave the pizzas. He said ok, yet he kept knocking on the door for 5 minutes forcing me to open the door and sign his ticket. Pizza is undercooked in the middle and burnt on edge of the crust. Don't understand why a medium pizza & 10 piece wings was $40 with that type of quality. Great service and a wide variety of items to try. We ordered 3 pizzas, wings, and a salad. The pizza was amazing and the crust was perfect to dip into the ranch. The wings were by far better than 99% of other pizza establishments. Our salad was fresh and again the service was delivered fast, knowledgeable and with a smile. Honestly not that good for the meal deal I payed for. Also got delivery it came so late our driver was 30 min late then got cold pizza on top of it. I have lived less than a mile from Piccolo's for 18+ years. Although, I am no longer an avid pizza eater, I do get a hankering every now and then. I was always loyal to Metro, but now they are just a little too far away for me. My grandson is fine with Lil Caesar's, but I was wanting a good tasting Meat Lover's Pizza. I bit the bullet and ordered a stuffed crust meat lovers. O.M.G. I was moaning all through eating it. When I picked it up and looked at it, I didn't think much of it other than I thought the stuffed crust looked a little weak. I got home, took my first bite, and I am a convert! Can I give a virtual standing ovation? This is by far the best pizza I've had in a very long time. My mother and I had the All Meat and Grilled Garlic Chicken.
