I hired David Finkelstein to paint the interior of my condo in July 2023, giving him the requested…read more$200 deposit even though he would not be able to start the job before mid-September. That was my first mistake, but I trusted him. He arrived promptly and brought a helper with him, who turned out to be very slow and sloppy, and mixed 2 colors together which required that a room had to be re-painted, after I noticed that the color was too dark. Finkelstein at first argued with me that it was the correct color, only admitting later that a mistake was made by his helper. I found Mr. F. to be a crotchety old man who complained about his wife and family, and was very difficult to work with, very argumentative. After removing wallpaper, he was supposed to prepare the walls for paint, but didn't do a proper job so paint started cracking and peeling within days. He painted the second coat immediately after the first, without any drying time whatsoever. Several areas were missed completely, indicating that most rooms didn't get the 2 coats I was charged for. He argued with me about covering my furniture, saying it wasn't necessary, but after he left I found that the entire back side of a black leather couch had dried "mud" drops which I had to wash off. His job proposal listed what he would do, in detail, supposedly justifying the price, but after work began he cut as many corners as possible. When the job was finished, he literally ran out of my condo. I felt cheated, regretted that I hired him and seriously considered Small Claims Court.

Honest owner with skilled experienced leaders and staff. He knows what he's doing and cares about…read moreproviding quality at every job. We've known this gentleman for many years and he has always been dedicated to living the American dream and raising a Family and he has succeeded at both. The most recent job his company did for us was a 2,000 + sq ft residence. Staff members came (actually early which was great) to start prepping the walls. He came with the paint and more painters. And in less than three days they transformed our home perfectly. When I say perfectly I mean this. Straight lines with no paint on the ceiling or trim. No runs drip nor drops. Their skill is high and hands are steady, they don't need blue tape. In my pictures you will see I have curved walls, European style, which requires tape when you are changing color from the main room to the hall, so you will see it. Utilization of quality paint so coverage is good, no bleed through and, in our case we selected eggshell, and it looks awesome. The painters work well together, they are fast, clean, there was no mess ever, and that in-and-of-itself is good training and manners, & we were impressed. We were asked a couple of times to double check everything as they went along and I like that, bc if I did see any thing it could be addressed while there was a paint can still open, rather than being asked if everything is okay as they were pulling out of the driveway. That's not how they work, because they care. They are quite and out of your way but if you need something they drop what they are doing and help, then go right back to work. Never, ever did I see one person stop to check their phone . They worked constantly except for a lunch break and they let us know they were going and came back faster than excepted. Theses are no slouches, these are workers, and great ones at that. It comes from good leadership. The end result is our walls, doors, trim and baseboards are in perfect and condition looking beautiful. I will always call this company and of course, highly recommend that you call too.
