The reason I gave them 3 stars is because they are not consistent in their flavor. The first time I tried their Bifongo was sooo delicious I would drive back to Orlando right now just for it. Paired with the Carne frita it took me back to Puerto Rico. The second time I tried them almost a year later the bifongo had much garlic sauce that you could smell it from outside the bag and the taste was horrible. Papa Loca from Picaribe food truck! These fries are LOADED with ham, steak, chicken, cheese, lettuce, stuck fries, and sauces. These are the most loaded fries I've ever had. Let's start with the good, I ordered this to be delivered to me at work so I was unable to see the food beforehand - that being said I ordered the chuleta kan kan w mofongo and a parcha drink. The drink was made perfectly not too sweet or sour, definitely enjoyed. The mofongo is amazing, cooked perfectly, has a nice crunch w the added chicharrón! This place is very yummy!! I was craving an alcapurria and couldn't help myself, I had to try like 5 more things from this little gem. The wait was about 10minutes which was really fast for all the things I ordered. The only thing (not pictured) that I didn't care for too much was the shrimp empanadas, only because I hate bell peppers and it had a lot of them in there but that's just me, NOW the pizza empanadas are absolutely AMAZING, they're filled and they're truly so enjoyable I almost went back for two more. We came to eat here because it was one of the food trucks located in the lot. When we ordered, we were told it would take about 25-30 mins. We waited over 45 mins for our food and you can see other people next to us were visibly upset. It came out to $55 for two people -- granted, my husband bought the Picaribe Especial which could easily feed 3 people. However, this gave us the opportunity to try a little bit of everything because it came with chicken wings, fried pork (masas), pork sausage, and chicken along with mofongo, fried cheese, tostones and fries. The mofongo had way too much garlic (and I love garlic). Tostones and fries were a little soggy but the cheese and meats were good. I ordered a churrasco plate with arroz con gandules and tostones and it did not have the look, taste or texture of churrasco. You can tell it was cooked on a flat iron and the meat was too chewy. I ordered the shrimp empanada which was piping hot. They did not skimp with the shrimp. It was delicious. I also ordered the shrimp monfongo which could of been more moist. It came with 6 shrimp on the side, it was like shrimp scampi, butter & garlic. They did have some sauces on the side mayo & ketchup mix, barbecue, hot sauce and garlic. Finally found a place or food truck in this case with THAT Mofongo I was looking for! Immediately tasted the garlic, nicely seasoned and of course the pork rinds in the mix making it worth every bite. Driving down OBT towards the turnpike Saturday night came across a mini party/school bus selling pinchos for $3! They have a variety of awesome Puerto Rican delights from empanadas to a tripelta sandwich that was told to me is delish. I ordered my food and stood there waiting taking in the sights and sounds. It was amazing! I truly recommend this place! We ordered just the pinchos with the BBQ sauce and without. Personally I like it without the BBQ sauce I actually want to try the meat. It was delicious! Fresh and hot with a piece of bread to go with! Reminded me of home (Chicago) I would most definitely be going back to get that tripelta and they have the hibarito sandwich as well. First time here and we got the pinchos de pollo with a malta and kola champagne. Definitely recommend this place. Pinchos were a little overcooked for my taste but tasted amazing.
