I walked in a was immediately told that I had to sit at the table that was directly next to someone else, when there were plenty of open tables around. when I ordered, the server told me that I was ordering "too much for one person" which I thought was quite rude but I knew I was going to take some home. both the dishes were great (I got the fried rice paper rolls and beef pho) and when the pho came out I asked if I could have some hoisin sauce and the owner said no. I then asked if they even had any, and she also said no which I thought was strange but what can you do. I ate my meal and by the end, she came up to me again and said "see? now you know that you don't need hoisin sauce." I was so confused because she started explaining how the broth is made and all the flavors come together (which I know very well, I have made pho traditionally and it is by far my favorite food) and she just refused to give it to me. chefs preference I guess? but still rude. then she made me pay SO fast and then started cleaning everything around me and basically rushed me out the door. the food was fine (my pho def would've been better with hoisin sauce), but pricey. Both the pho AND the appetizer were $25. I'm a server at home so I'll never not tip but not only did I feel rushed, I felt very judged and I don't think I would return to feel like that again, and have to pay 55$. read more
