The main con is some RMTs get booked up very fast, or their availability is limited, so you either have to book months in advance or take a day off to be able to get an appointment. Parking is a bit tricky here too, as it's in Kits and there's only side-street parking, which is full most of the time.

So here goes. I am a plus sized woman. Just a fact. Happily, it's pretty rare that I feel that my size impacts the way I'm treated. In fact, the only time in recent memory that I've felt my size impacted how I was treated by someone was with the massage I received at Qi. Now, this is not a statement against everyone that works there. In fact, I had a great massage many years ago (I even asked the team if they could help me track her down, to no response), but I couldn't tell you who it was with. This time however, I selected to have an appointment with Jorg. He specializes in joint, posture & movement issues, and with chronic problems I have stemming from a past broken leg and multiple related surgeries, he seemed like the perfect match. Only, that hope was one way, as I got the distinct impression from the moment he walked in the room that I wasn't his "ideal" client. What followed was a 50 minute massage (in a 60 minute timeslot), zero check-ins about pressure or anything at all, and about the only words he said to me felt like a complete slap in the face. At the end of our time, he told me bluntly that he specializes in *sports* massage, and that the next time I come in? I should book with someone else. Message received loud and clear, Jorg. I am a regular massage person, because I seem to constantly be falling apart, and this is my go to place now. Justin I have seen for a few years as he was at my previous clinic. This guy knows his stuff and really tries to cover all the angles of what might be causing your issues. He thinks outside the box and offers up useful referrals to other health professionals if he thinks there is a change you can further improve your pain/issues. Justin is also training to become an Osteopath and so he has even more in-depth knowledge of the human body and another way to look at things. Muscles, bones, organs.... It turns out it's all connected!! Lol I was impressed from the beginning with this guys smarts but also with his bed side manner. Very professional, but also knows you are there to relax. By this I mean things like; an eye mask when you are on your back with the lights pleasantly dimmed, a diffuser running to keep the room smelling nice, sometimes he will even wave some essential oils over your face as a finishing touch! Classy!! Justin is an all around great guy who will listen to you and work hard to help you out. Kathleen is a new therapist for me. I have only seen her a couple times and I am very happy with her care. She is excellent with lower body massage. I have had many massages in the past where I specify glute discomfort/pain or tight hamstrings and I leave feeling like they weren't massaged at all. Kathleen my legs are are looking forward to their next visit!!! I actually felt looser in my quads when I left and boy did that make my IMS appointment less painful the next day!! No social graces, whatsoever. He may be good at his profession. I will never know. Pricing was reasonable and the location was easy to find. Parking on nearby streets was easy considering parking overall in Vancouver is a pain in the butt. With the massage I specifically requested treatment at the neck, shoulders and the legs. She was able to apply the perfect amount of pressure. Her technique with stretching my soft tissues were also very much appreciated. I have had tons of massage therapies before, including multiple ones recently in Bali, but today's massage ranks one of the best ones I have ever had.
