I am extremely disappointed with the level of care I received during my recent visit. The doctor did not introduce himself and did not verify my identity before providing care, which made me feel uncomfortable and concerned about patient safety. Additionally, I waited an hour and a half just to be placed in a room, and then another 30-45 minutes before the doctor came in. This excessive wait time was unacceptable, especially since I scheduled this appointment in advance. I also had a prior appointment and was told at check-in that the system for my insurance was down, so I was required to pay out of pocket. However, when I contacted my insurance provider, I was informed that my plan was active. This lack of organization caused unnecessary financial stress and inconvenience. Because of these delays and administrative issues, I lost my entire lunch break and additional work time, which impacted both my ability to eat and earn income. I would give less than 1 star if I could. I came in and asked them to test me for Strep but they insisted that they would test me for Covid and Influenza instead. One they saw that I was tested positive for influenza they said that I have a virus not a bacteria. Prescribed me Tamiflu and sent me away. Turns out Tamiflu is the worst medicine you can have for any illness with very bad side effects. To this day I am suffering because I have Strep throat bacteria. Do not go to this place if you value your health and life. I hope I won't have complications because they refused to properly test me for Strep. read more

Called me into the room only to wait another hour. My throat is killing me, and I have had a hard time eating. She told me to take Tylenol and sent me on my way. I would also give less than a 1-star rating if I could. I received an invoice for services rendered to my grandson after his insurance paid its contracted amount. The invoice was for the balance that the insurance did not pay. I have no copay - insurance is Medicare. I spoke with a billing representative who advised me that I was responsible for the balance. Under the Federal No Surprises Act, they are NOT allowed to do this. When trying to speak with a supervisor, the "supervisor" is always on the other line and will have to call me back - which they DON'T. They are a nightmare to work with! read more

First I was told they take tricare west insurance by the front desk and kept asking to make sure and they said yes they do. Not only was Nothing done to help my family as we all went in sick but they do NOT take tricare west insurance! So not only did we have to wait to see our pcp for real help but I'm now stuck with a large bill for all of my family for nothing. Every time I have called for help with these bills they just give me the run around stating now they are not in network and my insurance needs to call them to see if they will pay. This is absolutely absurd, and unprofessional. How does a company not know if they are in or out of network with an insurance and if you don't know, why don't you tell the patient before they get seen and get stuck with a large bill? This is the worst clinic I have ever been to. Instead of getting help, my condition felt worse from the stress of waiting. I waited almost two hours, and during that time another patient who arrived after me was called in first. When I asked the receptionist about it, I was told that the other patient's case was "faster." That explanation felt unfair and dismissive. I was taken back to a room about and hour later, then the doctor finally came to see me at 1:32pm - TWO HOURS LATER - and was out of the room by 1:34pm. What on earth?! I waited two hours to be seen for two minutes?!?! How is their wait possibly this long if the doctor barely gives patients the time of day. This level of care is ridiculous! These people are just a scam... came in yesterday for a basic drug test and waited about 2 hours expressing that I couldn't use the bathroom and I was told I couldn't drink water basically (8oz for every 45 min) but today there are water bottles laid out for people to just grab... that's utter bs. After 2 hours I gave up and just left, even after they said if I left it would be considered a refusal. Came back today and waited another hour about while other people sitting in here waiting about 2 hours... just horrible service. The women behind the counter just dilly dally and talk about nothing but themselves. You're better off going to the ER!!! This clinic is excellent. I've never had a bad experience here. I like them as well, or better than my primary care physician. They have always been kind, patient, professional, and knowledgeable. Several years ago, one of their PAs saved my husband's life when he was having a heart attack and we didn't realize it. I just went in after a bad fall. Saw a new PA I hadn't seen before. Thorough workup with x-rays. Detailed home care instructions both verbal and written. [Edited to add that I think it's unfair to judge this clinic on their wait times for the last couple of years because they were literally in the front lines of the pandemic. I brought my little sick girl in today and I just wanted to share how impressed me and my husband were with PA Mahrukh. She was incredibly attentive and observant during the entire process, making sure to address all of our concerns. What really stood out was that she followed up after our visit to check in and ensure everything was okay. Went to this location after scheduling an appointment. They told me there were 11 people in front of my son and that they would be closed before they got to him. I informed them that I just wanted a simple strep test as my son had a temperature of 104.6 and while I could get it a bit lower with fever reducers it would only lower it a degree or two and the medication would wear off after just a few hours and it would spike back up. She said well if it's that high you need to go to ER. I informed her that it was not advised by our ER nurse family member. She said well yeah they are really busy. It was like she didn't believe his temperature was that high. So not only do they have terrible policies of treating walk ins before scheduled appointments but they are rude and dismissive. Overall the staff seems really unorganized, upon my entry there was two different people there to fill out paperwork that was missed during their first visit. After, hopefully, filling out all my paperwork and sat down. Maybe 20 minutes later I get a phone call saying that they are ready for me to come back. I'm in the waiting room, so in confusion, I walk up to the front desk and told the receptionist that they called me to go back there. After walking through the door, I was not greeted, and told to go to room 2. Then after almost entering the exam room I was told "wait, I think I have the wrong one. Go to number 5" I have no idea where I am so I kept walking straight looking for a five only to hear "um it's over here!?" After entering exam room 5 she told me she then needed to go grab the cart she needed. After taking my vitals she proceeded to ask me all type of questions and we came to the conclusion that I needed a Covid test and strep tests. She went and got the tests and when she came back, she just opened them up and didn't explain where she was going to be needing samples from she just opened them and stuck one up my nose and one down my throat. After about five minutes of that being done. Who I can only assume was a doctor knocked at the door of the room I'm in and says "ok Diane" to which I replied "no wrong room" she walked out saying "oh well I thought I saw her come out of this room?" About 15 minutes after that the nurse came back in saying that the doctor would like a flu test as well. No word or update on my other tests. But, same thing she opened the test and with no explanation, sticks it in the back of my throat. I understand I'm a 25 y/o adult, I have had many step tests, flu tests and now Covid tests throughout my life but never, has the nurse/ provider not explained what thier doing as thier doing it for the ease of the patients. read more

Do NOT go to this Doctor John Koehler.I have a workers' comp claim that I have to see a doctor once a year, I had all the paper work with me. This Dr. Koehler wanted to charge me $250 just to see him. I told him this is worker's comp that I have been on for over 10 years and the government pays for the visit. He said I still have to pay the $250. This is illegal to charge the government full price for an appointment and charge me extra for it. I am reporting him to workmens' comp. I went here after having a moderate allergic reaction to something I ate with symptoms that persisted for several days. My tongue had swollen up and blistered, and I had hives. I wasn't experiencing anything life threatening, so I didn't feel like it warranted a visit to the ER. None of my known allergies are typically this severe or could account for this reaction (I hadn't been exposed to anything that I know that I'm allergic to), so I went in hoping to address my symptoms, maybe get an allergy test to identify what triggered this (so that I could maybe stop triggering it), and maybe get a prescription for an EPI pen in case I had a more severe reaction later. The staff went out of their way to ignore everything I told them and ran a whole bunch of completely unnecessary tests to rule out viruses and STDs. I'm familiar with allergic reactions. I KNEW that I had one (I just didn't know for sure what had caused it). They ultimately didn't address any of my lingering symptoms (no prescriptions for anti-inflammatories or anything), didn't give me the allergy test that I requested, and didn't give me a prescription for an EPI pen. Their parting words were that they didn't think that it was a virus, and it was "probably a reaction to something that [I] ate." I don't appreciate being gaslit just so that they can make an extra buck on unnecessary tests. This was a colossal waste of money. I'm now out in the world with a potentially dangerous, unknown food allergy, and I'm on pins and needles until I can get into my primary care provider for a proper allergy test. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this location. read more

The girl at the front desk was nice and was doing her best but other than that i struggled to even give it one star. I came in at 4:30 and didn't get seen until 8pm. after being seen and rushed through a physical, I was told to wait a few minutes and then I sat there for 30 minutes and I walked out of the room and they told me that they didn't even know I was in there and then I was free to go when I didn't have to stay. I understand healthcare is stretched thin right now but why bother having appointment times when you run over an hour behind. Appointments take priority not walk in's. I waited over an hour and a half just to be allowed in the building for a rapid covid test to be told I needed to be wait another 40 minutes to be seen by a provider. MA did not check blood pressure correctly and just threw out a number as I watched the sphygmomanometer myself. Highly do not recommend coming here as it is an overpriced way to get tested as they bill you for a visit as well. I'm writing this review on behalf of a family member who was treated by, Kristina Schaefer, PA. She was cold, callous and dismissive of the extreme level of pain my brother was experiencing due to a work related injury. She implied that he was cheating the system and wanting time off work when he couldn't even breath properly, let alone work the next day. She acted as if treating him was an inconvenience to her and sent him home with Tylenol. He had to return a week later, and she was equally unprofessional and unhelpful. He returned a third time and was able to see a different PA, which resulted in proper pain management and on-going physical therapy sessions. She does not belong in the field of medicine. Lacking compassion is bad enough, but putting her patient at risk by not listening and misdiagnosing, is dangerous and inexcusable. read more

Went to this clinic and found the PA to be very kind, empathetic, attentive, and knowledgeable. However, my less than 5 star review is due to the technician that drew blood from my arm incorrectly and kept moving the needle around in my arm. This gentleman was surprisingly frustrated that he couldn't get blood out of my arm after he kept twirling the needle around and I was verbalizing my discomfort and finally asked that he stop. read more

I was there for an employment physical and I had an appointment. I waited over an hour to be seen and there were no walk in emergencies while I was there. Why have an appointment if I still have to wait over an hour? I was on my lunch from my current job and the whole experience wasn't good. I would never use this clinic nor recommend it. I went there because I had no choice due to the employer contract apparently. They asked for my review them when I rated them zero, and I responded they rejected the text as unknown! Booked an appointment online at midnight as instructed. My appointment was confirmed. I called the office just to make sure. The lady told me they were busy due to accepting WALK-INS and to come at 7:49. 7:49? What kind of arbitrary appointment time is that? It's 11 minutes before they closed. I arrived at 7:30, checked-in as instructed and heard NOTHING for an entire hour. Nurses kept leaving the building and I asked one if I would get covid tested today. She said yes, smiled, and drove off. Time keeps passing by until 2 more nurses leave and I ask if I can get tested still. They go back inside to check and inform me that no more tests are being given out that day. This place made me wait in my car for an hour without any decency to tell me to go home because I wouldn't be receiving a test. Brain dead employees and a broken IT system that doesn't let you contact them after 8:00 PM because they are 'closed' yet still administering tests. Just revived a bill for a covid test i got in JANUARY for $382? Covid tests are free in Illinois under the coronavirus response act!? This is horrible to do to someone, especially because when I went it was my work making me, and I asked when I arrived SEVERAL times to make sure my test was free. I was sent here by my employer to do a drug screening. I don't know the area much and traffic was bad getting to this place. I waited outside, which was fine. The nurse checked me in and was filling out paperwork. She told me that I was almost ready to go in and I let out a little cough. She asked me covid questions, which is definitely okay! I told her that I've had a cough for almost a month now and my doctor said it was because my asthma and allergies. I also mentioned because of this cough, I got tested for covid-19 twice in the span of a month. Both came out negative. She went inside to check with the other workers to see if it was okay for me to come inside. When she came out, she was reaching for a paper, and I asked her if I was coming inside or not. She said no. And I said that was okay, I understand. I was okay at this point up until she looked me straight in the eyes and said, "sorry, it's better to be safe than sorry." Can I give no stars? I waited 30 minutes to be seen and was there for an hour and 15 minutes. The PA spent about 1 minute with me. He Listened to my lungs and heart, looked in my ears and throat and then left. The MA/tech that took my urine sample, vision test, blood pressure and attempted to collect my blood was incompetent. When I couldn't get a complete urine sample, he didn't say anything and threw away the urine and was so rude about it. "Well you didn't have enough so it was a waste" then I asked for water and he brought me about 4oz of water. I again asked for 2 cups of water because at that rate I would be there all morning trying to get hydrated enough to collect a full urine sample. Then he said I needed a TDAP and Hep B vaccine. I said to him, "I signed the decline document for the Hep B vaccine as I am up to date and here are my records for Hep B and TDAP." He was so surprised I had these records. Isn't this something that should be asked ahead of time? Then, I needed a TB quantiferon blood level drawn. He put the tourniquet on so lightly that he couldn't find a vein. I told him to put it on tighter and he couldn't figure out how to make it tighter. He stepped out of the room and obviously asked another MA/tech to help. When the new MA/tech came in, she was confused why he couldn't find a vein so I explained to her about the tourniquet. I would not recommend this location or their staff as they seem incompetent and very impersonal. The man at the front desk was less than kind as well.
