Mr. Turner (PA) is legit. He diagnosed/treated me for pneumonia back in November of 2010. He was kind, thorough and talked to me about my favorite anime, lol. He also treated me for anxiety in January. He was very patient and understanding, but matter of fact. The female PA, Felecia Male, is rude. I saw her for a pneumonia follow up at 4:30 on a Friday. I'm sorry, but if you don't want to schedule appointments that close to closing time on a Friday, then DON'T. She rushed me, was incredibly non-thorough, and interrupted the nurse who was still taking my vitals. She was apparently in such a rush she was done with the appointment literally 60 seconds after the nurse took my BP. Dr. Male (Ms. Turner's brother actually) is SO NICE. I tested positive and was treated for the flu in January (yes, awesome...). I have never been to a doctor that pleasant. He was jovial, professional and honestly he's pretty cute, lol. One of the nurses/receptionists that answers their phone is rude, but the rest of the front office staff are very nice. My favorite nurse is the older lady- I can't remember her name but she has long curly black hair. Love her! They accept BCBS for a $25 copay. Unfortunately, I'm sure I'll be back, haha. read more

My elderly parents have been using Dr. Male for some time now. After my father required a wheelchair a few months ago, I started driving him and my mother to various appointments. My first time meeting Dr. Male, I noticed that when speaking with my father (who is hard of hearing), he'd mumble with his head down. When my father didn't understand, Dr. Male started addressing all his comments to me as if my father was dim-witted. The next time we went, I positioned myself behind the doctor so he'd have to address my father directly and told him that my father was hard of hearing but otherwise very sound. That rubbed me the wrong way but my parents seemed to like him. In November 2016 I took my mother to Dr. Male for a wound on her leg. He ordered an ultrasound and referred us to wound care, which was appropriate. In February 2017, my father mentioned that his pharmacy couldn't refill some of his monthly prescriptions without an order from Male's office. This should have been done automatically on a monthly basis but was not. My father called Dr. Male's office several times for a couple of weeks and got no response...not even a callback after leaving messages. Yesterday, third week of February 2017, my parents got a call from a diagnostic clinic saying that they had just received an order from Dr. Male's office for my mother to come in for a procedure. My mother had not been to see Male since November. Finally I called Dr. Male's office (no answer, as usual...just the voicemail saying "if you know your party's extension..." and "for appointments, press 2...", etc) I left two stern sounding (but polite) messages; one for the prescription department and one for the referral department. This afternoon, the Dr's office called my father to refill his prescriptions. When he asked why it had taken so long, the woman told him she "had only got it today." When my father said he'd been calling for two weeks with no response, she didn't have an answer. He then asked about my mother's odd diagnostic referral and it turned out that it had been issued in November. When my father asked why it had just been sent to the diagnostic center yesterday, he was told that the woman who handles referrals was "really backed up." Whether this was a new referral that we didn't know about or just the same one that we'd already done in November, these events show a serious lack of organization and communication in Dr. Male's office. I could have forgiven his mumbling bedside manner but I won't trust my parents to his care any more. read more

I've been very happy with service here. I chose them as my PCP once I moved into town. I was worried given reviews here but decided to give them a try. The PA was great. I actually prefer them as doctors can be so busy. She listened to me. She gave me non medicine solutions. I found everyone very helpful. I ended up even going back to their weight loss clinic as a result of the good experience. Be great there too. read more

I was a patient for Dr. Males for over 20 years. He was awesome until Little River Health Care took over. Wait times got longer, service was horrible and trying to get anything from the billing department was a nightmare. I was in a car accident and needed the billing paperwork. That was in 2017 and I still need the statements. From what I hear they are completely out of business. Sorry to say I've changed doctors and won't be going back. read more

Terrible-pompous, arrogant and dismissive. I waited for 2 hours for him to basically tell me I was lucky he was even going over my MRI results with me instead of having a nurse do it instead. Then he left the room and didn't come back. I had to ask a nurse about my prescriptions and then they never even called them in to the pharmacy. Not just bad-think insurance fraud. I am disgusted with Dr. Male. Shame on him. read more

Dr. Male has recently become affiliated with the Seton Family of Doctors (Little River closed down). Other than the fact that I usually have to wait for some time beyond my appointment time, I have been pleased. I have found that I do need to follow-up to be sure that referrals are made. And, on Fridays, his medical shirt is camouflage pattern. :) read more

I've been to this place 4 times. After each visit I asked myself " Why do I keep coming back here?". I totally relate to the previous post. In fact, I know exactly the people she is referring to. I experienced rudeness/poor attitude, almost an unwillingness to help, and a rushed In and Out process. Except of course the time I waited nearly 2 hours to be seen. Furthermore, each visit I explained that I could not afford what was being prescribed and could a lesser expensive alternative or generic be prescribed yet it fell on deaf ears. PA Felicia Male is not the person you should visit when ill or in need of help. And the woman that works up front is not very friendly either nor are any of their people that answer the phone. read more

I had a great experience with Dr. Male and staff. Friendly, personable and caring. I had a physical and blood work done and all went well. Just had a really great nurse go completely out of her way to assist me personally on some medication alternatives and she genuinely cared for my well being. Since Little River had taken over management the practice has gotten down hill. Little River switched to billing primary care visits as a specialist without notice, sending incorrect bills, files incorrectly with insurance, takes month to bill, the list goes own. Use at your own risk. read more

I've been coming here for years and the only downside is the waiting time. But, I understand things come up and I know that I will have the extra time if I need it for an appointment as well. I never feel like I am being rushed out because of time, which is good. I always tell my friends about the friendliness of the staff. I feel like the people get along well and it shows. The nurses have always been very friendly. The front desk has, too. I love to come here because everyone has a smile on their face. Spent two hours today waiting on this place to draw my blood. One hour in the waiting room itself and one in the back, the actual drawing of blood took about 2 minutes. Support staff was very nice and sympathetic of my waiting, but that doesn't really help when it's 11 o' clock and my appointment time was set for 9:45. The P.A. that came in was gruff and she left within 3 minutes of talking to me, seemed to be in a hurry and didn't really want to be in the room. This is not the first time I had to spend a hour plus waiting with this provider. Needless to say I will be looking for a new doctor to read me the results of the blood work, I have no desire to have to wait for these people to get their butts in gear - and pay them while they do it! read more

I started going to Physicians Center 5 years ago. It wasn't so bad at first but has seriously declined over the years. I'm in the process of finding a new health provider. Terrible service. I've had to wait 1 to 2 hours after my appointment time more times than not. Had blood tests and other tests that nobody ever called or went over the results with me. Filling prescriptions is like trying to pull your own teeth. Management is horrible. They seem to push unnecessary tests and care more about the almighty dollar than the people they treat. read more

Waits of over an hour are common, and phone calls are not returned timely, if at all. The doctor and PA's push extra and unnecessary tests; I once was given a vision test during a routine physical which consisted of reading an eye chart without my glasses.They push their weight loss program and scam the insurance into covering it by making the diagnosis "exhaustion" and then prescribe stimulants for appetite suppression. Avoid if at all possible. read more

I usually have a good experience here but this time I saw someone new. I thought I broke my ankle waiting for X-ray to come back. This happened on Monday and I couldn't get my ankle xrayed bc I needed to find out what my out of pocket was due to finances. She proceeds to tell me I didn't want an X-ray and I didn't follow her directions!!! Hello!!! I have it wrapped it won't fit in any other shoes. When I asked if she could call in something else for me to take she said no she will not call in narcotics. I said is their something non narcotic she said no ibuprofen. So after she told me not to take ibuprofen anymore she proceeds to tell me to take ibuprofen. Her answer was get high tops. If I go back instead of being so desperate to get in I'm going to wait for PA Stefan or Dr. Male. Somehow Ms. McWhorter made me feel like this was my fault not to mention a crack head. Her bedside manner was awful. At least Dr.Male and PA Stefan actually ask how u r doing. I'm so disappointed with the lack of care. For some of us this is our first time having this sort of injury. I know some ppl do this everyday and forget what it feels like to be a patient I've never been to see a nurse practitioner much less a doctor with lack of understanding or bedside manner. Seriously one of the worst offices I've ever been to... If you schedule an appointment, be prepared to waste the majority of your day. On more than one occasion, I've waited over an hour to be called back. I once had a five minute follow up appointment take THREE hours because Dr. Male can't be bothered to arrive in a timely manner. And God forbid you have to call the office after you've given them your money because you will not receive a call back. The administrative personnel actually acts as if you're interrupting their day. Even if you have an appointment you will wait because they take walk in patients at the same time as appointments. They are all about taking your money. They will try to make as many appointments as possible to get a co-pay. If you have labs done they will not call you with the results. They want you to make another appointment...to get more money. If you see the same staff after your first appointment you should be surprised becuase they have a huge turnover. That should tell you something in and of itself. read more

I've been going to this clinic for at least 5 years, Felicia Male was my regular doctor. Can't tell you how many times I have ben in this clinic but I do remember many. Cholesterol, different types of infections, heart palpitations and all I can say is she walk into the room look at you ask you what happen and never do an examination. Been menopausal any other doctor would but not this lady who act like she knows everything. Back in October I went to see her due to some hormones problems wish btw, I ask her if she can run a hormone profile, two days latter I went back and yes thyroids problems. She is very good in give you prescriptions she prescribe Levo 25. I was not happy with her desition of putting me on thyroids hormones pills so I call an Endo and make an appointment. My God I thank God for the desition I made. Went to the endo in less than 5 minutes he exam my neck guess what???a lump was found, more than 5 years visiting this clinic, she had been my primary doctor and she has never ever exam my neck. One month latter I was in surgery to remove my thyroid gland is call Thyroid cancer. Don't know how long I have to live but a thank God he walk me to make the right desition. Please don't look for a convenient clinic to go. Search for reviews there's plenty of good Dr's in Georgetown. She is not a good PA if she would be she will never miss my problem, to me as a Dr. she fail, she never was my friend, never take 5 mnts of her prescious time to seat with me and ask what is going on, a PC doctor become someone we trust and she is not one to trust. No to mention that just year ago I went to see her for another test results and she was giving me another person results. She was telling me all kind the crazy diagnostic wish I was not sure what she was talking about. I came home and two days latter I was looking the paper work and realize the name was similar to mine but was not me. I should call my insurance and report them for fraud cause that is called Insurance fraud. read more
