I like Dr. Ann (as her patients call her) as a family doctor and GP. She's down-to-earth and efficient in treating general health problems and needs. It usually doesn't take long to get an appointment, but it is a busy practice, and she keeps things moving along. She manages to be time efficient and to the point, without making the patient feel unheard or inconsequential. A difficult balance, but she does it well and has been there for me when I needed her. For specialty needs, she is well-liked by her colleagues, and has gotten me in to see a specialist very quickly, as needed, on her recommendation. read more

Onward through the fog, they say, and after two weekend days of fever, snot-fog, and pain (I thought my teeth were gonna pop outta my jaw from the pressure!), Dr Hathcock was my lighthouse yesterday. Corny, yes, but a shot in the ass (cortisone), OTC recommendations, antibiotic script, and 4 hours later, I was feeling quite capital (and grateful!). Dr Ann, as even us adult patients call her, does NOT screw around. I wondered at the fact that I showed up 15 minutes early to do paperwork, was ushered into the exam room on time and was outta there in less than 30 minutes total. Had my script filled at CVS and was home all done in an hour, and when you feel crappy that is a blessing indeed. What I really like about Dr Ann is that she listens to me, and it may be a professional courtesy since I am in the medical field, but she takes my self diagnoses into careful consideration. If I think I need an x-ray, CT, etc, she will promptly fax the orders to Brack so I can get it done fast. If I need labs, same thing. A coupla years ago, I thought I had a brain tumor (medical professionals can be paranoid hypochondriacs but this fear was well earned with 2 wks of relentless headaches). She treated for sinus and when that didn't work, she sent me for CT. What was most worrisome was I was due to head to the jungles of Peru in about a week, nowhere near medical facilities (just witch doctors!), so I was beginning to panic. I had a CT and MRA done super fast and then she recommended I see a Neurolgist. After calling around, I told Dr Ann I couldn't get in as a new patient with any of them for months. A few hours later, she called me back and informed me that she got me in the next day with one around the corner from my work.* So yeah, I like Dr Ann. Whenever I need her she's there to listen and then fix me promptly and courteously. *BTW, no dain bramage, in case you were worried. read more

Nice enough, but have always had to wait at least one hour to be seen for for a scheduled appointment! With a further wait for labs if needed, be prepared to be here at least 2 and 1/2 hours for a quick checkup. read more

Dr Hathcock is one of the best drs I've ever seen. I have never met a dr who genuinely cared about her patients the way Ann does.

Still absolutely love Dr. Ann! Have seen her twice this year and she is so helpful, warm, and has so much wisdom and knowledge. The ladies up front were sweet, smiling and professional. The assistants were kind as well. All around, I've had nothing but good experiences. Thank you staff!!! read more

**Beware of this Dr.'s office** I've been told that the good Dr. is wonderful. You can read plenty of other reviews regarding her on this site. However, the worst part of the experience for you (as it was for my mother) might be your experience with her office staff. It is likely you'll be met with the smug superiority and extremely unpleasant attitude of one person in particular named "Stacy". Quickly you might realize that this person needs to sanity check her position in life. Apparently, she has let herself believe she is more important then her office role would indicate. You might find "Stacy" to be completely lacking in professionalism or even a hint of common courtesy. I understand that "Stacy" is allowed to berate sick and elderly patients in front of the other office staff and waiting room patients without consequence, as she was allowed to behave this way with my elderly mother on more than one occasion in person and on the telephone. Again, I am sure Dr. Hathcock is an outstanding physician, however, this review is specific to her office staff. It is my opinion that you might be better served by shopping around. There are plenty of other great doctors in the area for you not to have to risk dealing with hateful office staff. read more

Dr. Hathcock is chronically late. My wife and I are both patients. My wife, who has seen her three times, has told me that two of those times she was almost an hour late. And these were early morning appointments. I made an appt for 8:30 for a checkup (they open at 8 btw), which probably would have taken 10 minutes. I was finally called back after nine, the nurse took my blood pressure and the usual questions, she was very nice. Then I waited....again for another 15 minutes. By 9:20, I had had enough and left. Her staff was very nice, it wasn't their fault after all. I was informed that Hathcock double books. Double books? So she basically guarantees that all of her patients will be late. Seeing a patient on time is the most basic way a service provider can show respect and consideration. Clearly Hathcock doesn't care. Cram them in because its all about the $$, I guess. 50 minutes late for an appointment at 8:30? If she can't manage simple math with her appointments, or just doesn't care, why would I trust her with my health? read more

Dr. Ann has been my family's doctor for over 15 years. She is very knowledgeable and LISTENS to what is wrong. And always try's to fix it. Her office staff and nurses are nice and polite and professional but Dr. Ann is just downright personal and you never feel like you are a number she makes you feel like family. She always asks about my kids and what is going on and gives wanted advice and sympathy. She saved my mother in laws life. She is the only doctor that my husband will allow to do a prostate exam on him. and my kids refuse to go to any other doctor. I have been to many doctors and never have I had them listen patiently, diagnose correctly and help fix what is wrong. She is also the only doctor that hugs me goodbye. She really and truly cares about her patients and works around the clock to do what needs to get done. Ignore any of these very old reviews. They were not about her or her doctor skills it was more of a issue with office staff many years ago that are no longer present. Give her a try you won't be disappointed in her personal touch she puts into her practice to make the patient feel like they are talking to their best friend that just happens to be a genius doctor. read more

Dr. Ann Hathcock, DO is seriously the nicest human being. She truly cares about her patients. Highly recommended.

I was a patient of Dr. Ann's for over 15 years in her old practice. When she sold out to the group practice, it became a disaster. I regularly waited for 45 minutes to an hour for an appointment. Once I was the last patient in the office at 5:30, when my appointment was for 3 pm! When my employer changed insurance carriers, I scheduled my regular checkup for the medication I take daily. The nurse called it in to the mail order pharmacy wrong - it was only 25 percent of what I am supposed to take. I called but you can only leave voice mail, never talk with a live person. I repeatedly left voice mail, found the website for the practice and sent email, sent a fax letter explaining the prescription was wrong, and my husband even went to the office to take them a copy of the fax requesting the prescription be corrected. Only when he talked with the office manager three weeks after I started to alert them and mentioned the word "malpractice" did they finally pay attention. The nurse called and said it was all the fault of the pharmacy. She kind of apologized but then said it was really my fault since I didn't leave the voice mail to her specifically rather than to the general nursing voice mail. She also made a big point out of the fact that she was paying the $20 co-pay out of her pocket. I have been taking the same dosage for a long time, and this information was in my file. Plus the pharmacy is a national chain that receives all their prescription orders digitally. The pharmacy clerk was able to confirm exactly what had been sent to them by Dr. Ann's nurse. This was a serious medication error that no one cared to correct in three weeks of trying. Plus, the nurse was downright rude, and I never heard a word from Dr. Ann even after being her patient for so long. I would never go back, and I don't recommend this sloppy practice to anyone. read more

Dr Ann is still in Cedar Park, but has moved from the Buttercup Creek location. I've never had any problems with Dr Ann, she's always been a reliable, proficient, and consistent doctor for me. She's down to earth and and really cares about helping her patients, in my experience. read more

Dr. Ann always goes above and beyond for her patients. She talks to you like a regular person, not above you like so many doctors do, she listens to what you have to say and your concerns and works very hard to address them all. She makes you feel comfortable as well. My husband has white coat ophobia - he hates doctors, but he loves her - and that never happens. I also work in the medical field so I understand all the gargin, where as my husband doesn't but she always explains things to him that he can understand and we all work together on our chronic health issues as well as those emergency issues we have had over the years. If a specialist is needed she promptly gets that addressed. I really don't understand the negative review below- I have gone to her for more than 10 years and never had the issue of her ordering unnecessary tests on my husband or myself and we have chronic health issues where repeat tests would occur- but she has always ordered the appropriate tests. On numerous occassions when we (my husband or I) have had severa helath issues or even just a nasty bug and were seen for treatment but the weekend was approaching she has given us her cell # and told us to call if we needed her, even on weekends she is not on call. She has also been known to personally call to deliver test results at times as well call after hours or on the weekend just to check on you after you have been ill- none of our other doctors do that ---- this is a lady that truly cares about her patients, and wants them healthy, she will do whatever she can to make that happen. I recommend her to all my friends !!!! read more
