This is the first time I've eaten Thai in the area so it's hard to make a comparison within the area.
If there was one thing I noticed when we stepped in it was the service. All the staff here seemed really cheerful and very attentive towards helping us make a meal selection and asking whether or not the food was to our liking. There was a bit of language barrier when we asked them to describe some of the food, but we managed to understand the general gist.
The menu choices, price and services seem adequate and we ended up feeling that we over ordered. The menu contains numerous options such as stir fry, soup, etc. With a large variety of the options you get the choice to combine it with a seafood combination, beef combination or vegetable combination (only to name a few) which meant that we had the option to alternate and have a large variety of dishes available to us.
We ended up getting four dishes, one entree each and a soup side. In general, the main dishes we had were quite tasty but sometimes tended to border on the sweet side a little too strongly. Whether this comes down to taste I'm not sure, as many restaurants that we've tried (especially Asian) in the Browns Plains area tended to have dishes that were a little sweet for us. Tasty nevertheless!
One major standout was the soup side. We ordered the Tom Yum soup and found that it came in plentiful size servings. The soup was beautifully done and had a significant amount of shrimp, mushroom, lemongrass and lime leaves. Something that we were definitely surprised with! Most importantly the taste and spices that Phuket Thai have put in seem to be a really good balance and give it a nice and authentic feel. read more
