I thought they did an excellent job. I am glad we had a photo booth all day and also at night for the dance. I am glad the postcard lists some of the prices if you want to rent for an event. They are very affordable.

My husband and I hired Natalie to shoot our engagement photos last year up in Napa Valley. We went to various locations and had a blast with her! Both Natalie and Alan were punctual, professional, helpful and respectful! Natalie made sure that we had our poses down as well as giving us pointers on where to stand, etc. Even though it was really hot that day, they were true champions! They made our engagement shoot memorable and fun! Couple of months after that, we met up Natalie to shoot night time engagement photos around AT&T Park and again we were not disappointed. Our photos came out beautiful and our friends absolutely all love one of the photos we took there (which you can see in the photos section). Since she continually amazed us, we asked her to shoot our ceremony at City Hall; again one of our photos was a big hit with our friends! On the day of our reception, we utilized James, their DJ who did a wonderful job of keeping our guests dancing (since we had kids there, he made sure the music was appropriate). He came right on time and set up before the guests got there which made our day less stressful! We also hired their photography booth which was a HUGE hit with our guests; we were pleased at how professional they were but again, they came early to set up and test out the equipment which again Made our day less stressful. We got so many compliments from our guests about the photo booth and just recently my coworker told me that one of her favorite parts of our reception was the photo booth! Thank you Natalie, Alan and James for helping us create beautiful memories!

PhotoBeats is awesome! They photographed three events I attended: my high school reunion (the year before last), my friend's wedding (last year), and my own wedding (this year). I love all the pictures they took of me and my family and friends. Their work is solid, and I really appreciate all the delicate touches they put into our wedding photos - I really treasure the memories they captured for us and hope others also get to experience and benefit from their photography and related services. They don't miss anything: Especially for our wedding, PhotoBeats captured all the important moments, including quick things that you can easily miss in the blink of an eye. Important to me (since I also like taking pics, albeit not professionally), they were unobtrusive when taking photos, particularly candids (unlike thoughtless photographers who hover too closely to the subjects or who block guests from taking any nice shots of their own or from even seeing what's going on). They also didn't mind helping guests take pictures on their own cameras/smartphones (after taking a copy for us first, of course). They were professional and aimed to please, taking pics we asked for as well as suggesting pics and poses when we were stumped, to make the most of our time. Reasonably short wait time for photos: A batch of quality event photos always takes awhile to process, but to keep you from going stir-crazy waiting for them, PhotoBeats posts a few same-day previews, which I really appreciated - instant gratification! They were also careful to run them by us before they released them publicly, to make sure they were pictures we were happy with sharing. I'm glad I had PhotoBeats - some of my friends who got other photographers for their weddings told me horror stories of asking and waiting more than half a year to even see any of their wedding pictures (one couple visiting family over the holidays didn't receive their photos in time to show elderly family who weren't able to attend their wedding, which was really sad). This was not a problem with PhotoBeats - we got the finished set of pictures in two months (granted, we had a short wedding ceremony and a cozy number of guests - so if you have a long ceremony and a reception and a ton of events in general, it may take awhile longer, as processing time can vary depending on a lot of things). User-friendly delivery: PhotoBeats asked us how we wanted the finished photos, and we decided it would be fastest and easiest to get them online (though they can also mail them to you). Our pics were posted on their website (but password-protected for our friend's - it's up to you), easy to view (individually and in aggregate), quick to download (one by one, or all at once), and share (via the link to send to family and friends). It was all very simple and efficient. Wonderful to work with: They only use the best photographers who are skilled with high-quality camera equipment, adjusting for lighting, angles, timing, etc. On top of their professionalism (respectful, responsive, reasonable, flexible, and fairly punctual), they're also pleasant (friendly, relaxed, and fun, but stays on business). I look forward to seeing them work at future events.

My wife and I got married this past December, and we couldn't be happier with our wedding…read morephotographer, Jennifer Michelson / A Girl and a Camera. I actually found Jennifer after searching online for photographers in San Francisco and her work immediately stood out. Her style felt fresh and unconventional -- more documentary and journalistic than traditional -- and I especially loved her use of black and white photography, which was a big reason we chose her. The day started at our hotel, where she jumped between our separate rooms to capture my wife and me getting ready. Before she had even gotten to our rooms, she had already scouted the perfect location for our first look. The moment was absolutely incredible, and she handled everything; we didn't have to do a thing but follow her lead. That professional confidence continued at City Hall. She has a masterful familiarity with the building. She took full control of the shoot, guiding us as she told us exactly where to stand, how to pose, and where to move next so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. As a photographer myself, I really appreciated her confidence and professionalism. All we had to do was follow instructions and be present. She knows San Francisco City Hall inside and out -- the lighting, the angles, the timing, and the key locations that truly matter -- every shot felt deliberate and it showed. The technical skill here is top-notch-- the compositions were beautiful, the balance of each frame was spot-on, and her gorgeous color grading. We received around 300 images, and the quality is so consistent that I plan to print every last one of them in large format to ensure we have a permanent physical archive. When we received the final package, we were so touched -- she sent our photos on a beautiful USB drive along with printed images, some sweets, and other thoughtful details. It was the perfect finishing touch to a genuinely wonderful experience. If you're getting married at City Hall -- or anywhere in San Francisco -- Jennifer Michelson / A Girl and a Camera is exceptional. Thank you Jennifer! Laura and Junior.

They were professional, attentive, and so easy to have around on such an important day. What we absolutely loved was Jennifer's eye for the little moments. We can't recommend Jennifer highly enough!

Kevin photographed my wedding last month and was truly a great find. Most of the photographers we…read morefound on Zola were way over our budget or not quite the style we were looking for. We were fortunate that we found Kevin through our coordinator. Kevin is VERY easygoing and down to earth. He is also clearly experienced and keeps things pretty casual while shooting, which makes photos a little more bearable for people who really can't stand taking photos such as myself. I was also super annoyed/snapping at my now husband pretty much up until the ceremony (there was a lot going on, I promise I'm usually nice to him) but Kevin somehow made me look not as angry as I actually was in the photos, so that's a win! A major standout was when things immediately after the ceremony did not go as planned, and the order of events we had discussed with another vendor did not go as we expected. My husband and I were definitely not thrilled, and our coordinator was prepping for our reception so she was not there at that moment. Kevin took control of the situation to try to make things go the way we had originally hoped they would go, which involved herding people he obviously didn't know. He definitely went above and beyond there, and my guests definitely noticed. I agree with the review about Kevin being a mind reader- he has very good emotional intelligence and is somehow everywhere. My officiant was wearing a Snoopy pin which I was freaking out about because I love Snoopy, and somehow he was there at that moment and got a closeup of it. My coworkers and I all took a shot together, and out of nowhere he showed up and started taking pictures. There was also a moment my uncle "stole" a slice of pizza from my one year old nephew that my family couldn't stop talking about, and Kevin managed to capture the moments before and after the "theft". No one even realized that he had taken those photos until I sent them the pictures. There's a reason (or rather, many reasons) Kevin has all five star reviews! Book him!

I find myself somewhat a creative person being a marketing executive for over 20 years, a painter, and have a degree in Fine Arts... Sasha is a true artist. I was equally impressed that Sasha had an extensive questionnaire he wanted you and your partner to complete. Me and my wife recently hired Joseph to be our wedding photographer recently. We did a small…read morewedding at the SF City Hall with just a couple of our friends - pretty much a wedding ceremony. So, the photos were supposed the main event and most important part of our wedding. Obviously, we went to City Hall to get the grand photos, but we also wanted to do something a bit different. Researching City Hall photographers, we went through a lot of them - and while most take really nice photos, if you go through them together one after the other, it all starts to feel the same. We wanted ours to stand out. That's when we came across Joseph's website. The minute we looked at it, we knew we had found our person - don't take my word for it, just check it out. His photos are beautiful, unique, and very artistic. He has an eye to catch those special moments between couples that immortalize them. Joseph is one of the best out there, and you will be lucky to get him because he's so busy during wedding season. Despite this, he was very communicative since before we hired him, all the way up to our wedding. I highly recommend talking with him over a phone call, he will put you at ease for your special day, and you can discuss what you are looking for. He connects with you which makes the experience all the more pleasant. Soo, the reason we went with him specifically was because we wanted something different and artistic - and while that can be a bit risky, he is the photographer for that. We planned to do the shoot at two locations, first at City Hall, and the second in North Beach area. On the day of, we were a bit stressed and feeling the pressure. The minute Joseph arrived, he was able to lighten up the mood, cracking jokes and created a fun, stress-free environment to relax us. You can tell he has attended a lot of weddings, haha. After that, things went really smoothly - he is quite familiar with City Hall, and knows how to take the good shots. He was able to get us all the stand out shots - the grand staircase, the elevator, the stairs, and the fourth floor. And the photos came out amazing! He did candid shots, elegant shots, grand shots etc. One thing I noticed is, lots of photographers are able to do close ups well, but struggle with wide angles - Joseph was able to do wide angles expertly, which is important for a venue like City Hall. When going to the second location, we had planned to do a shoot at a specific location but it was crowded so we had to improvise, and ended up taking photos in the street. This is where Joseph really shined - he was able to use the streets, graffiti, and the environment to take some extremely beautiful photos. And oh-my-god, those photos came out AMAZING!!! He made us look like movie stars, the photos were cinematic! We are so happy with our photos, we have been looking at them every weekend since getting married. What I will say about the price is you will be paying a decent amount if you get any good photographer, and Joseph will look cheap when you understand what you are getting - he is definitely worth what he charges and more. More importantly, the advice I would give you is this - I know Joseph can and will get you the shots you want, but I highly recommend giving him a free hand and trust his artistic vision and his eye, you will not be disappointed! And feel free to express yourself and make things interesting - he is very open to trying out new ideas. Joseph made our vision come true, and captured our wedding day beautifully - he made it memorable for us, which I feel is what every couple wants. For us, he is going to be the one capturing all our special moments going forward, so I hope you see the trust we place in him as a testament to his skill, vision and character. I cannot recommend him enough, just get him without thinking twice, you will not regret it! We're a bit private so don't want to post a bunch of photos online publicly, but I've attached one that perfectly sums up what he can do.
