When my husband picked it up, he was told that if it happened again, it was likely due to something they supposedly couldn't be responsible for and we would have to pay more. We took it to another repair shop for a second opinion, and they confirmed the actual issue: the HDMI port had not been properly soldered to the motherboard. So the explanation we were given by this shop was simply not accurate. The original repair should have been done correctly the first time, and I'm disappointed that instead of taking responsibility, we were given an explanation that was not supported by the actual condition of the repair. I would recommend getting a second opinion before paying for another repair here.

For reference: I brought my high-end gaming PC in during the December rush after spilling water on it. I knew the motherboard was toast but there was no telling what else was wrong with it. They call me back exactly when they said they would, and confirm yes, motherboard is toast. That's it. Do you know how much opportunity they had there to sell me nearly $2k in replacements for "other broken components?" I was prepared to declare a total loss, pay them the inspection fee, and maybe buy a computer from them. Instead they sold me a motherboard(fairly priced) and called it a day. They also built my first gaming PC for me many years ago. They told me it would be weak, and I should have listened to them. It was a great experience though, so I always try and go to them first if I ever need anything done.

(I touched my cracked screen with wet hands at work and thought, welp, now I've fried my phone completely - yikes.) It flickered green and blue then went totally green and unresponsive. The guys at iFix were knowledgeable, professional, kind, and quick! They were able to offer me several different options. He was up front that if I had internal water damage, the new screen wouldn't save it, but since I did already have a new screen I had ordered from Amazon anyway, we gave it a shot and he was able to install the new screen, no problem. He was able to replace my screen and tell me I didn't have any internal water damage done to my phone in like 20 minutes!
