Hands down the WORST Enterprise I've ever been to !! I've lived down the street from this…read moreEnterprise for a few years now and every time I've been here it's always a bad experience!! They greet you with a smile upon walk in but don't let that fool you, they do not care about customers here. They are dishonest and unprofessional, this is not how a great company like Enterprise should be represented. I have been a frequent renter from Enterprise, renting cars for almost half the whole year over the last couple years. I typically avoid ever going to this location and much rather prefer the McDowell location as I am always dealing with either rude employees, additional rental charges or charges for pre-existing damages !! It started last year with the first GM (Brock), he was an absolute pylon and should have never been entrusted with such a position. I had a car through insurance and he decided to call me at 7pm to tell me I needed to make a payment or return the vehicle that instant, I told him the vehicle had been extended but it was too late to call the adjuster and I would call the next day. He spoke very aggressive and rude, it was very intimidating. Sure enough the next day my insurance (tatefarm) extended the rental. More recently I returned a vehicle that had pre-existing undercarriage damage, that I had already initially indicated. Although, when I returned the vehicle (Madison) decided to open a claim against me for damages to the undercarriage. The car had no visible damage but a small crack on the bottom of the bumper that was already there!! That small crack has somehow become a $3200 repair on a Toyota Corolla, what a joke!! Funny thing is my insurance deductible is only $100 but I refuse to let them get a penny because I am not the one who damage the car!! It's been a nightmare trying to reach out to anyone regarding this matter within enterprise. The new GM (Bennet) was surprisingly actually nice when I addressed this issue in person but he did absolutely nothing for me and actually lied to me instead. Enterprise has lose my business over this because they didn't have the professionalism to deal with me correctly. No callbacks, no emails backs, no explanations, only a $3200 bill!! They can pursue me all they want but they won't get a penny from me, matter fact I'll pursue them in court & I will make every complaint possible to ensure this doesn't keep happening to my neighbors!!

We had the absolute worst experience at this Avis location with Freddy…read more I booked and prepaid a reservation for a rental pickup at 11:45 AM on Sunday (they close at noon.) The week prior to pickup we were at the Scottsdale Resort for a business conference. On Sunday morning (9:30 AM) we called this Avis location to see if it was possible to pick up earlier but there was no answer. We left the conference and ubered over but were told our reservation was at 11:45 and we needed to return, so we went back to the conference and at 10:39 AM I got a call that the car was ready for pickup. At this point, we were back at the resort and in session so we figured we'd return at 11:45 as per the original plan. We arrived at 11:50 AM and Freddy handled our reservation. The reservation was under my name so I asked if we could add my husband as the driver- Freddy said it would be $13 a day to add. I questioned it because I remembered reading something that said spouses didn't count, but I wasn't sure and asked if we could change my husband to the main driver since I was not planning on driving. That was a no. Freddy now said if we're married, no charge. He then asked for the credit card used to prepay the reservation and I took out my husband's business card which was the card used to prepay along with both our drivers licenses. Freddy said the CC on the system was different and rattled off some random numbers. We advised it must be a mistake, we have no card with those numbers. He says "I can't rent you the car unless you provide me with this CC." He shows us in the computer and I realize the number he's giving us is the last four of an authorization code NOT our CC. I look for my original confirmation online and show him PROOF that the CC is my husbands business card as originally shown. At this point, he mentions we can't use that card because it's under his name and the card has to match the reservation name which is mine. At this point, it's frustrating. Not only is he not trying to work with us, it's obvious he's pushing us out because it's past twelve. We express frustration and he mentions these are the rules and if you don't like them there's nothing he can do because it's not his fault. He declines us service and says he's calling the police because he feels we're being aggressive. There was a customer in there who chuckled because Freddy very calmly went from Level 1 to Level I'm calling the police and declining service which made zero sense. We needed Freddy to give us a solution not give us excuses on AVIS rules. I immediately get on the phone with AVIS and rebook my own reservation under my husband with his business card with zero help from Freddy, and the police arrives. Clearly it was a ridiculous call and they knew it. We had a witness to vouch no one was being aggressive and we have video recordings to prove it. Police apologized and said he would try to come up with a compromise for us, and they did. At the end of the day, Freddy...who was rushing to leave by noon, incompetently giving us wrong information whether it be adding a driver for extra money, wrong CC numbers, declining service and doing NOTHING to help out the customer ended up leaving closer to 1 PM over the course of his own actions. He called his manager, police communicated with him and the end result was rent us the car and help us out. Our cards all match, our licenses match, there is NO issue. We got the car, but not without some undue aggravation and lots of stories to share about where NOT to go to rent a car in Scottsdale!

Renting a car isn't always the most pleasant of experiences. Because there's a lot that's unknown…read moreuntil you get there. I've rented quite a few cars over the years from pretty much all of the car rental agencies. On a recent road trip to L.A., I reserved a car at this Enterprise location for the first time. The reason? So I wouldn't put a lot of miles on my car. I'm the type who's looking to rent the cheapest car available unless there's a small difference in price for an upgrade. Which means I often make reservations through third parties like Hotwire. Which I did on this occasion. Since I'm not reserving a particular car, sometimes I've been given unfortunate vehicles (like the Kia Soul) and sometimes I've been given nice ones. When I saw that this Enterprise location is a special one, in the sense that they have an exotic car collection, I was hopeful that I would receive something better than a hamster car. Luckily, I did. I received a nice hybrid Toyota Camry. Throughout the duration of my trip, I didn't run into any issues. It was comfortable and had good gas mileage. Pretty much everything you hope for in a rental. The pick up and return processes were smooth. My only real complains is that my rental only had a little over half a gas tank upon pickup. I always appreciate it when my rental has a full tank so I can hit the road and not have to stop for gas anytime soon. Plus, when you pick up a car with a full tank, it's easy to return it with a full tank. It's not as easy to pick up a car with a half tank and return it with a half tank as this is a lot harder to sort out. Which means the agency usually gets some free gas out of you. Outside of this one hiccup, I loved my experience and will rent from here again. Especially because the location isn't far from my place.
