Incredibly frustrating. I have an internet extender and it went down...again! I get all kinds of apologies and promises that a tech will call me. So I waited and waited...and never got a call back. I am currently building a home with Stanley Martin and was referred to Phoenix Systems. Phoenix Systems is a professional audio/video/security/networking company that performs installation and maintenance for residential and commercial applications. They offer a wide variety of premium brands such as Klipsch, Ubiquiti, and Sonos. I've had the absolute pleasure working with Eric Abodeely who has been my single point of contact throughout the entire process. He has hosted multiple Zoom meetings where he demonstrated a high degree of expertise. I am a professional cyber security engineer and Eric was able to impress me with his vast knowledge of networking, surveillance, theater, and whole home audio. Throughout the process, several changes were made and Eric was beyond accommodating every time. He has a great personality and a keen attention to detail. Eric made of of the most complex parts of building a new home stress free. His expert advice and suggestions allowed me to invest in a "future proof" home that will serve as an amazing place to relax or entertain. For anyone looking for the best in A/V, security, or networking for their home or business, I strongly suggest giving Phoenix Systems a call. We have been using this co. since we purchased our new home. Nothing eventful over the past 8 yrs. We paid our $25/mo. bill in advance for 8 mo via our auto bill pay. No worries it does it for you. We were out of the country-- Nov-June. Upon returning, I paid Jul & Aug in one check fm my banks auto bill pay sys. I got a call fm their billing dept that jul had not arrived. I logged into bill pay & saw that a ck had went out in jul for $50. I just happen to mention the address & she said, "Oh, we've moved." I said that wd have bn nice to know. So I updated their address in my banks bill pay. During the impending hurricane, I called to disable the alarm so when power goes out it won't beep for hrs. The rep stated, "This is no longer an acct we monitor." They still have my jul, aug, & sept payments. It's a fly by nite folks go w/ADT. We changed after 20 yrs & now we are going back. There's no savings here. ADT bills you every quarter approx. $109. We are paying $100/quarter. Pay the extra $9 for a better quality of service. I will keep you posted, but I don't think we will see a refund for aug & sept. ADT 20 yrs of high quality svc. We're back. Go ahead & recycle the Phoenix sign...it's metal. read more

I'll start by saying that I know I'm a discerning customer when it comes to low voltage installation. I have worked in the industry for over 20 years, and know what I like. However, regardless of my background, good customer service, communication and pride in your craft is something that should be universal and this is where Phoenix has completely missed the mark. I had to work with Phoenix as I was building a home and they have a contract with my builder. You would think considering the size of the contract they would treat people with more respect than how I was treated. First, we had some simple in wall volume controls on spec for the job. I will take responsibility for wanting to remove them from our build, and I communicated this well before the install... However, the j boxes were still installed behind the drywall. I then simply asked to have the volume controls installed, since now I have blank plates randomly placed throughout my home. The email response I received from our sales contact was rude and unprofessional. I even offered for them to provide me the volume controls and I would install them, but this request was still denied. We paid for conduit to be pulled from our attic to basement so we can post wire cable in the future, and there are so many 90 degree angles in the conduit that it is almost unusable. Pre-wired cables that were pulled by Phoenix were chewed up and kinked, this is pre-wire and could have easily been prevented or replaced prior to drywall being installed. I have pulled thousands of feet of post wire cable that looked better, and guess what... if it didn't I would do it again because I take pride in my work. I had to chase down our sales rep for weeks for quotes for additional install work above and beyond what we quoted through our builder, it almost sounded like I was inconveniencing him. I have now spent close to $15,000 dollars with alternate vendors because of his tone and response. I was looking forward to working with Phoenix as they looked to be a large regional low voltage company who cares about their brand image, but this experience did not meet my expectations at all. read more

Highly disappointed with Phoenix systems located in Alpharetta. They are greedy, unprofessional and have no regard for customers who have spent a lot of money on their services. For our home theatre, game room, surround sound, security you name it, we used Phoneix. Unfortunately all they want is more $$$. We had a connection issue with our TV wall wiring and we asked them to come UNINSTALL the T.V. To anyone with a brain, that obviously would mean taking the T.V. down along with the wiring. The lazy and selfish technician claimed that the wiring was not the problem probably to avoid the task of removing the wire from inside the wall...well turns out when Samsung came to assess the issue, the wiring WAS exactly the problem. When we called them to complete the job they had so negligently failed to complete, all they cared about was charging an extra $195. Mind you, according to them each visit is $195 + $95 'service charge'. My question then is what gave the silly technician the right to "recommend" not taking down the wire in the first visit??? Now when it turned out that was the issue, y'all charge for another visit???? If this isn't FRAUD tell me what is!!! Their receptionist Danielle is the most unprofessional and uninformed receptionist out there. Go read a bit on your company, Danielle. You know nothing about anything but money. I hope you get a cut from all the money you've fraudulently swindled customers out of. It's hard to believe that customers who have spent over $100,000 on your services cannot even get a courtesy visit that could've been avoided if YOUR technician wasn't so dismissive during the initial visit!! Talk about paying for someone else's mistakes! They never take responsibility for their errors and find a way to lie and turn your words around in a bid to exhaust you into paying one fee or the other. Jason and the others at the company are all so friendly when it's time to get money from you. The minute you need their help when something goes wrong, they are unreachable by phone. It's sad how this company has NO RESPECT for their customers. Little wonder that they go about begging estate developers for bundle deals on new homes. You can also beg people to leave good reviews (as I've seen on this page) that doesn't change the fact that you deliver trash customer service. I will be going through the contract and terminating it as soon as possible. Save yourself a headache and skip this garbage of a company. read more

These greed-driven losers charge twice the amount of any other competent company. Best Buy can do their work for thousands of dollars cheaper. Typically smaller businesses are most trustworthy; these sleezeballs are not!!! We spent $6000 for them to install ceiling speakers and for subwoofers that took months to receive. They don't answer emails or actually answer questions. These people absolutely rip-off innocent customers by charging prices out the nose for terrible customer service and dishonest work practices. The appointment was quick when the tech arrived. This is a plus but also even more frustrating to have waited a full week for a task that took the tech less than 30 minutes. I wouldn't recommend them for this reason alone. read more

They are not a great service. Offers a knock off brand of Ring for a doorbell. Lot of upfront cost. Not worth the money. Was very unprofessional when it came time to discuss the contract that I had and wanted to terminate because of moving to another state. You be better to install Simplisafe. read more

I wish there was an option for ZERO stars. I am/was a new customer. They transferred an existing system that was in the house I bought (on a Monday). The tech changed the network name on his iPad and said it didn't work so he set everything up on the old name. The next morning (Tuesday), everything was offline because the network name changed. Owners have no access to the system to change it themselves (like eero). I called to get it changed and they said a tech had to come out, but they couldn't come until that Friday afternoon. Friday at 4:15pm, I called to see if they were still coming and they said "oh, management was supposed to call you, a decision was made so the tech can't come out today". I asked to speak to management, and they said they all left for the day. I asked that they call the emergency number to get someone who can send a tech immediately and at 5:15pm a rep called and said their best tech would be at my house between 8-9am the next day (Saturday). I went to my new house at 8am, at 9:30am I tried to call, and they office was closed. TERRIBLE - They are fired. read more

In order to have someone come to my house to replace a battery for my alarm, the cost is $100 PLUS $35 for the battery. I have long suspected they charge to much for everything.The initial installation costs years ago for my new house were very high and the sales process was a nightmare. I have ben thinking of replacing this vendor.I am going to start looking for recommendations today. read more

Pure garbage. I purchased an expensive system and got locked into a 3 year contract. The alarm works ok but the door camera delay is over a minute wait until I get notify when I am away from the home (probably because it has to go to alarm.com first) by the time I answer it the person has left. I have noticed that ring is almost instant - which is what my friend has and same is true for Nest which what another friend has. The cameras that they sell are constantly going down any time that there is the smallest of power outage - that I get but it's almost impossible to get them back online afterwards without a service call. read more

This company does an outstanding job from start to finish! I had them come to upgrade my alarm system and switch to them for monitoring and i can't imagine anyone doing a better job than they did. i have dealt with plenty of other companies in the past, but this one goes above and beyond EVERY step of the way. communication via email and phone is very thorough without being intrusive or annoying, the installation team was professional, friendly and efficient and did a fantastic job. and they even spend time to train you on the new system. Overpriced, hard to get a hold of and rude customer service. Monthly cost is expensive in comparison, so you would expect excellence. When we did have alarm problems with a keypad in the middle of one night, there was no easy information for call center. Hard to determine who handles service and monitoring. When we moved recently and called to cancel service, it wasn't done properly. New homeowner set off smoke alarm 2 weeks later and monitoring center called us at night. When I told them that I cut off the service they said they had no record of that. Said nobody could help until morning but they would leave a message No call next day and since, I left more messages for customer service with no call back. Everyone in the office said only 1 lady could help us. When I finally tracked her down, she said my cancellation request was never entered. Said it was an oversight. Had no explanation for that or not returning my 3 calls since the errant alarm. When I asked for a refund of our last month of monitoring (after years and over $1000 of payments), she said no. New house needs monitoring and Phoenix wont get a shot. Try someone else who actually cares about something other than making sure they hit your CC each month for $32.95. Anybody else! read more

I would love to switch companies. I have my home audio through Phoenix systems along with security. They cannot troubleshoot anything over the phone with you and charge you 100 every time they have to come to your house. As soon as I can find other options I will be switching. read more
