I just had my knee replaced (February 15, 2023) by a qualified orthopedic surgeon after Dr…read more Weinstein completely ruined it leaving me in a ton of pain in September 2020. Is there is more money in attempted repair than the TKR I had originally requested? I now wonder. Regardless, it has been just over a week; I am off pain killers and moving around with only a cane. I can even walk a little on even ground unassisted. With Weinstein and I couldn't walk properly for months. So after four months I went went back and complained to his face... which was a complete waste of time. My advice (and I did it this time) get multiple opinions, recommendations and do not let your self get sweet talked. Also pick a surgeon that specializes in the particular joint you are replacing or at least that are of the body, not one that can, or does, replace all sorts of other body parts.

I could not have asked for a better experience here. I recommend this place 100% for any orthopedic…read moresurgery. I am a competitive powerlifter and I tore my vastus lateralis muscle (one of the quad muscles) attempting to squat 650lbs in a competition. It was nearly a full rupture of the quad muscle and my 28 inch thigh swelled up to well above 30 inches in circumference. Due to the nature of the injury it was imperative to get it looked at and operated on quickly. The staff at SOS got me in and out faster than I would have anywhere else. I got an MRI scheduled the same day as my initial appointment, and a surgery within ~2 weeks, even around the Thanksgiving holiday. Marissa at the front desk is always happy to help and made scheduling and payments a breeze. The X-ray technicians are friendly and accommodating especially when I could hardly move my leg. The PAs and doctors are great and were very mindful when removing stitches. Dr. Weinstein is everything I wanted in my surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and to the point. He won't lie to you or beat around the bush. He gave me the pros and cons of surgery and the possible outcomes with the various choices I had. The surgery itself was very successful and I am nearly back to where I was. He has taken the extra steps to make sure I get back to my goals of squatting heavy again and not stopping at "it's good enough". He treated me like a powerlifter and never once suggested that I should give up on squatting, which was incredibly helpful mentally, especially right after the injury.

Could not have cared less or been more RUDE, this place has managed to take all "care" out of healthcare! It is like being run through a cattle shoot slowly and with zero care or compassion! I will NEVER be back here!!

I have been going to the Core for a year now. I thought I was getting some where when they referred…read moreme to their Neurosurgeon Jose Menendez. I waited 2 months to see this doctor and was rescheduled twice. Let me tell you I have been in the medical field for 31 years and I have never been treated so badly. My 28 year old daughter came with me to my appointment because she spends a good amount of time helping and caring for me. Dr. Jose Menendez is absolutely 100% the most condescending, uncaring, and unprofessional physician I've ever seen. This man literally told me my pain is mild and he was confused as to why I was even in his office. I have been in severe pain for 3 years. I've been to 3 pain management doctors & have had 2 epidurals, with no relief. I'm not seeking pain pills, because I have anaphylaxis with ALL NARCOTICS. I've had 3 doctors tell me I need surgery. My Chiropractor saw my first MRI and told me it was really bad. After seeing my Chiropractor 3 times a week for almost year, he finally said there was nothing else he could do for me. My PCP told me that my back is so bad he recommended disability. So please tell me Dr. Jose, how now all of a sudden my back is mild. Why would Dr. Daftari (who is absolutely the best) send me to see you if my pain is mild and my MRI didn't show anything? How did all these other doctors see a lot of issues with L5-S1? I have degenerative disc disease and sciatica. I have done physical therapy for almost year with no relief. Not sure if this doctor even went to medical school. Dr. Jose Menendez, you need to learn a lot, first and foremost you need to learn bedside manners, respect, and learn to be professional. You wasted my time and money and now I'm back to square one. You're a nasty, miserable, and rude human being!!! If I could give you no stars I would!!
