I felt like i wasn't properly certified to operate a forklift and after trying this business I see why. The instructor Victor at Sal Safety Solutions was very knowledgeable/ patient and professional, he showed me videos about safety/ maintenance and forklift procedures and I took the written part , which I passed, but I was so nervous I made a lot of mistakes on the forklift, upon finishing the class ,Victor was honest with me and said he couldn't give me my certificate because of the mistakes I made, which I respected his decision , he explained to me why( which I already figured) but allowed me to come back the next day to get more practice on the forklift , I did and I did much better, I was then given my certificate, which is how it's supposed to be done.. Thanks Victor for being both honest and patient with me..

Then I scheduled a drive time for the demonstration part of getting certification, additional $40 fee, for a total of $100 to get certificate which is valid for 3 years. I had NEVER driven one of these before. He made the instruction very simple, 1. do this, then, 2. do this next. He has a back ground in safety in industrial work places, so I felt very assured I was going to be learning how to do this new job 'by the book'. They demonstrate their COVID-aware work place perfectly, too. Sign in table well away from receptionist, given plastic gloves and access to hand sanitizer before going to fork lift. Advised to bring own mask. Office clean and neat. Bathroom on site, if needed. Three forklift to train with, all in working order. Best part was getting comfortable with the machine, knowing 'I CAN DO THIS'!

Ellicia, the owner, is so incredibly patient and accommodating, she takes the time to know the kids and their families. The customer service is outstanding, the staff incredibly competent and the facility open and clean. She met with us, and we were able to tour facility beforehand, then she even helped guide us in choosing the appropriate camp/class for my children. My two kids, 5 and 7, LOVE Code Ninjas, they have attended numerous weeks and made some great new friends while picking up technical and STEM skills. There are a variety of tools/resources in addition to computers - it is not all "screen" time for the younger kids. The staff is very engaging with the kids and there is always a high teacher: student ratio so you know each child will get the help and assistance they need no matter what level they are at. Every time we drive by my kids point it out telling me how much they enjoy going. It is a fantastic place for camps or school year extracurriculars.

I turned to them and said, "Guys, this is my new hobby," to which they responded, "Yeah, right, John, sure." Well, I showed them. That weekend, upon returning home to Houston, I noticed a friend had invited me to a circus show she was in at Discovery Green. I didn't really know what I was looking at at the time, but it was cool enough that I asked her how I could join. A year later, I'm totally hooked. I take classes at three different studios these days. I like each of them for different reasons, but Cirque La Vie is my favorite. For one thing, CLV is -- to my knowledge -- the only circus troupe in Houston which also offers classes (or, on the flip-side, the only place offering classes which is also a circus troupe). As a result, it feels the most like a family. CLV's also got the most range of skills. While other studios in Houston only deal with aerial arts, CLV has jugglers, acrobats, stilt-walkers, contortionists, flow artists, and so on. There's even an apparatus for practicing tightrope, and talk of getting a trampoline. The biggest downside to CLV is probably the current lack of options for higher-level aerialists to take classes -- most likely a consequence of the limited space with which they struggled until their recent move. At the time of this writing, CLV only has level-one classes for aerials; but its teachers do offer private lessons, and they're worth it.
