Indy car races at the Phoenix Raceway was a really fun, really loud day. Remember to bring headphones or ear plugs, especially for children. It was easy to understand parking and arrival. The trams to bring you to the track were available and running smoothly. Entry into the venue was also smooth. You are allowed to bring food and some drinks into the venue. Be sure to check the rules about what is prohibited. The seats were easy to access by stairs or elevators. The concessions were reasonable and the bathrooms were well stocked and clean. We walked around the venue after Indy race and before the NASCAR race and had fun at the booths and listening to interviews with drivers. The lines to get back to the trams were long and the parking lots were crazy busy, even after we waited. We expected that, but heard some people complain that they waited close to two hours to get out of the lots. read more

Came here Saturday night for Goldrush for a friend's birthday. The party bus parked in a designated area and we walked over to the VIP table service entrance. The process of getting in was quick and easy. There weren't many so the line was super short and quick. There is a limit # of people for the table. I believe we were over by 3-4 and they paid an extra $50/person, which isn't bad! Once we all got our wristbands, they walked us to our table next to main stage. Staff members were all friendly and service was quick! They'll even remove random people from your area who sneak in to get a better view. Tbh, the view was okay. A table is nice so you have a place to sit and you can put stuff down if needed, but being in the crowd with center view of the stage is actually much more fun! Another good thing about VIP is the cleaner bathrooms with shorter lines, which I do prefer. And of course, not having to wait in line for drinks is another plus. I believe my friend said the total for the table was $7k. My only regret that night was not walking around to check out the other stages! Stayed at main stage/VIP area the whole time. I wish I had explored a bit since it was my first time attending an event at this location. read more

We had a great experience due to the amount of employees there to help and keep the place clean and answering any questions. The track was easy to get into. Very clear signs for parking and where to go. Exiting was another story. It took me about an hour and twenty minutes to exit and then still had all the detours on the surface streets. Pricing for concessions are comparable to any other sports or concert venue. Restrooms were kept clean and there was always soap and paper towels available. Will definitely come back here for another Nascar event. read more

Better late than never lol, had our first experience here for NASCAR veterans weekend. Overall it was a great experience, it's not huge so you feel like you can see everything, they had multiple shops to buy merch, happy I ate before because I felt like the food there was "fair food" which is great if you expect that, I didn't. TBH I don't know what I expected, anyways, the staff was friendly, they had police patrolling Willis was great, it made you feel safe for sure. The only issue is the parking, be prepared to easily walk a mile just to and from your car, they have teams but those lines are horrendous. We had a great time nonetheless. read more

Updated from 1 star to 2 stars. TLDR: Don't use NASCAR Tracks app for your tickets. I bought infield passes but and the barcode didn't work after the race. At first they refused to refund my ticket. After I made complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Arizona Attorney General they gave me a refund. I still do not trust the Phoenix ticket system or the Nascar Tracks App. read more

Went for the Nascar championship race. The seats are very comfortable and over half are under an awning to block the sun. Love that you can bring in your own food and drinks. Prepare to walk (and through some sand / dirt) if you park in general parking. Overall a great experience. read more

My family and I are visiting from out of town. We went to the 4th of July fireworks show last night. Only to be yelled at in the parking lot by a angry parking lot worker driving a white Chevy truck. all because of where we parked. He continued to yell and cussed out several people and was trying to fight one of the guest who told him to shut his mouth because he had kids and families all around us. He was out of control. My daughter and I enjoyed the Suicideboys Grey Day Tour at Phoenix raceway. A great venue for a Concert plenty of Merch, food, beer ,and cocktails. The crowd 20,000 strong were there to see artists like Ski Mask, Slump God, $NOT, and of course The Suicideboys. G59 lives and the crowd chanted verse after verse. Phoenix was the last stop of the tour were their largest fan base resides. Great show all the bands represented and the Suicideboys killed! read more

My family, friends and I, all took my three-year-old son to the Phoenix Raceway for all of our very first NASCAR experience. It was a gift from my best friend to my three year-old for his birthday and we had been anticipating this for over a month. We live in the east valley so it took us about an hour to get there. General admission parking was definitely a little bit of a cluster. I must admit, you have to drive through a huge dirt lot, and it had rained a little bit the night before so you're kind of driving through a Mudbog to get to your parking, so you can walk to the tram station and take a tram to the event and then walk the rest of the distance into the venue. I've never been to any kind of raceway venue, so I'm not sure how this compares in terms of niceness, however, it was pretty convenient once you got in there. We were pretty high up. They have vendors coming in and out selling things. It's a very exciting experience, especially when it first starts. They have all kinds of food and drink vendors. A lot of alcohol. I was surprised at how few kids were actually there. I saw a few, but it was definitely more of an adult event. There are bathrooms, but only once you get into the event. Before that, you guessed it... Porta potties. I would recommend wearing a hat, SPF, because there isn't a ton of shade once you are seated. You can also bring a cooler as long as it's soft and within the dimensions. I don't think you can bring alcohol, but we were able to bring water bottles, juice, boxes for my son, and some snacks as well. That was a really cool part about it because these days there are so many restrictions at every venue about what you bring in.I could bring a purse and a diaper bag as well. Overall, this venue was perfectly fine, not the cleanest, but it wasn't too dirty either. It's probably what you would expect from any kind of raceway venue. read more

This was our first raceway experience, I didn't expect to walk so far from parking to the venue during a warm sunny day. I should've brought our bikes. Regardless, we had a looooot of fun watching and cheering for Chase Elliott. Such adrenaline, especially towards the last 10 miles left. There were more bathrooms and concessions in the stadium than I expected which was a nice surprise. Despite the big crowd, we got seated easily and was able to leave the parking lot at a decent time and traffic. Great experience! read more

Fantastic racetrack. The parking upon arrival was plentiful and easy to navigate. The shuttles were quick and efficient leaving no crowds. We purchased the in field experience which was well worth it. Our party had a blast checking out the garages, watching the crew and exploring the track. Food options were limited. Our seats were fabulous, with higher rows in the shade. The headset rental return near the exit created a roadblock for foot traffic leaving the race. Likewise, the crowd making their way to the parking lot and shuttles often came to a stand still. Traffic flows exiting were well organized and easy to follow. read more

We love NASCAR, and have loved NASCAR for years. However, things were different this weekend. Yesterday my sister was denied entry because her 4 month old nursing baby didn't have a ticket. Tonight my mom and her 5 month old and my sister and her 4 month old were able to get it, tonight my 9 month old and I were not. We were told we could get a free ticket for a baby, but, they didn't have any available so our only option was to buy a $40 ticket for each baby. Lap baby!!! When we asked them to show us where that is stated on the website they couldn't do it! Has anyone else experienced this?! read more

Made it to the Nascar Championship on November 6, which was the last race of the season. The parking is horrible, but I guess that can be expected with a crowd that large. They do run trams in through, so be prepared to wait for one. The aftermath of trying to get out of the parking lot is complete chaos. The venue is nice with plenty of bathrooms. Good food choices and drink choices, but the lines can be long. There should have been more tables out and about for people to sit down and eat. Good race...not the exciting ending that I think everyone was hoping for, but overall an ok day. read more

As part of an auction I decided to put my money where my mouth was in bed on an experience at NASCAR. Overall the experience was great however the party part of it was my least favorite part. Despite having what I thought was a VIP pass it was more or less a spot on the dirt parking lot so I wasn't too happy but I did my car that day. I was expecting a lot more but it was just an overall average experience. I will say this is a different vibe & something I've done just a few times, but you got to appreciate the things that go along with it. Things such as the national anthem followed by F1 50s flying over for fourth, the sound of gentlemen start your engines. If you're going to go make sure you go and get a pass that allows you access to the inner track so that way you can walk around and check out the garages mechanics and all the other stuff that goes on. A quick venture over to the grande stand we had great seats but I have to admit watching cars go around in circles is a little bit higher from that point. We came for the NASCAR CUP SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP RACE. CONGRATS TO BLANEY AND CHASTAIN! Especially Chastain he was done wrong in my option by NASCAR in my opinion absolutely terrible he made history and beat the Champion during the Championship race. But getting in youre better off getting dropped off via Uber or parking a mile away and walking. The stadium is awesome because it has its back to the sun so for the most part you're shaded pricey as any where but they aren't to strict on outside food. You can enter with you flasks but you have to dump them upon entry, but they have cold water stations everywhere. read more

This is one of my favorite Nascar tracks. It's a one mile track with pretty high banking and that tends to deliver lots of action, lead changes, and even some bumping and accidents (even though we don't wish for anyone to get wrecked, it does provide a thrill for the fans). read more

Parking is absolutely horrible. It took us almost two hours to park just to get into the racetrack. Huge lines for the tram to take you too the stadium and the food. Compared to other tracks I have been to this track is just so small. The cars are not at their full speed Or capacity. It was nice seeing it for the first time but, we won't be back. read more

NASCAR 2017 Nov 10 - 12 which was my first experience and what an awesome way to be introduced by being able to have full access to photograph the event in the pits, garage and press conferences. Weekend was warm with temperature in the upper 80's so maintain hydration and bring a hat and some ear plugs because it is going to be hot and loud. read more

So much fun! I'd recommend sitting in the Allison section which was backs on the benches and a great view between turns 1 and 2. There's so many vendors handing out goodies and dishing out amazing food! Get there early to see everything and grab a beer :) wear comfortable shoes because there is a lot of walking! read more

Worst fan experience ever! Shuttle stops Way before concert. Shuttle to and from the track is a VERY limited time period.

We bought tickets last minute because we saw this was going on at the airport. Both my boyfriend and I had never been to a NASCAR race so we were super excited! Parking: if you don't have a pass, expect to walk 1mi plus to the stadium. Food & Drink: they have several "quick stops" across the stadium that you can grab food & light snacks. Very short lines (if any at all). Seating: we paid 90 for tickets on the left side of the stadium and almost in the very front. Because of COVID, there was literally NO ONE near us! Literally, spread out 3 rows per ticket holder. That made us feel super comfortable to enjoy our time there and relax. Environment: it actually gets a little cool there bc the stadium produces shade over all the seats. read more

I would have to say this is probably one of the better tracks on the West Coast. We had a great time, the races were fantastic. Let's talk about the facilities the parking lot is the first thing you see, it is completely made of dirt so be prepared to have dust flying through the air as all the other cars start the park. The parking instructions were average, the good thing is I was able to figure it out pretty easily but we did see several cars that were completely lost, yes it was funny. The walk from the parking lot is a great distance but Phoenix international Raceway has done a great job at making sure you have bridges walkways and everything you would need to get to the track itself. I did like the selling of RVs as you're walking to the race track, it was pretty cool to imagine yourself living in an RV for a weekend. The track itself for us was very easy to get in and out, it did take some time to get through the lines due to security was not moving that fast. It look like if they had some tables to put your backpacks so they are able to check your backpacks and purses and other items it would've gone a little quicker. Getting through the ticket line was very easy and then all the vendors and boots that were inside there is plenty a room for everybody to accommodate all the people walking around looking wondering and eating. To get to our seats was easy to figure out so all the signs were clearly marked the location of where we have to climb to get to our seats was perfectly done. The staff that was there was more than willing to help you out and give you a hand to show you where you need to be. The only complaint that I would have would be some escalators or elevators, yes I'm aware of how much that would cost or add to the ticket price but if you would be nice the elevators that they did have were very slow and cumbersome and we're being used for the VIPs. Overall we were at this track for three days, and we had a fantastic time. Just be ready to do a lot of walking and bring water to make sure you stay hydrated. read more

I left wanting to go to more nascar races. I got tickets for my fiancé as a surprise and I think I ended up loving it more then I expected. I loved the roaring of the cars! I've never encountered a more screwed up bunch of people running a corporate location. It's like they don't even want people to get in. We were sent infield passes via text message, and have spent almost three hours trying to redeem them. My husband called guest services yesterday to make sure we had everything we needed and we were all set, and we were told we could redeem them at gate three. The ISM staff were poorly informed about NASCAR procedures. I have a broken foot, torn hip, and I'm in a walking boot. We were told we could park in the brown lot as have a pass for that, but turns out there's no shuttle. So we were told to go to general parking where the shuttles run. So we left the brown lot, parked in general parking, walked forever before we could find a shuttle, made it all the way to gate three, trying to redeem our infield passes. The people at gate three told us to go to the ISM tent. The ISM tent told us they didn't handle that go to credentials. Credentials told us that was only for employees we should go to gate four. Gate four told us to go to the tunnel in gate two. We have now been here for two hours and 53 minutes and have yet to redeem our passes. Turns out we were supposed to have redeemed them at credentials for customers which was by... The brown lot where we first parked. At this point I have taken all of my doctor allocated steps for the day. My foot is killing me. My husband is considering purchasing paper copies of infield passes so that our 11-year-old son's heart is not broken because he's been looking forward to the infield. We were also going to rent a scooter but we have yet to find that. Time is ticking away. My husband and son were so excited for this today and it has turned out to be a giant cluster F$&@! Trying to leave at the end of the day they have zero accommodation for anyone who is injured. We were directed to a shuttle stop, where the buses are driving by because it they are already full. There are people with canes and walkers begging to be let on to the bus, it is full from further up the raceway, many of them elderly, and wearing veterans hats (It's November 10). Why have places to get on the shuttle further down if there's no room to get on? Attached photo is the thousand person in line to get on the shuttles. This has been an 8 hour nightmare. No accommodation for disabled or injured folks whatsoever. NASCAR, ISM: y'all screwed up. This was my first time ever at PIR and my first-ever NASCAR race as well, so I was very excited about it and my friends I went with were really happy I could go, as they'd been wanting to get me out to a race for quite some time. I like that parking is free out there. Crazy enough that ANY kind of sporting event is usually over-priced, between food/beverages/souvenirs, so the fact that parking is free is a benefit. We hit up the souvenir booths and got souvenir shopping done first thing. Each of the vendors were friendly, outgoing, and really having fun talking to the fans and selling items. From there, we took all our goodies back to my friend's car, locked them up, and headed back in for the day's events. So many awesome things to do and see out there! Many different food and beverage vendors for a variety of options is great, because if you want something outside the norm of everyday food or fast food, this place definitely has it, from Loaded Baked Potatoes, to Turkey Legs. Something to consider, however, is with as big a place as PIR is, you definitely want to be wearing comfortable shoes, preferably tennis shoes, walking shoes, or some kind of sneaker. We saw a lot of females in flip-flops but we also heard a lot complaining that they should have worn actual shoes too. Also, being that the races are held in spring and fall, consider bringing sunscreen, especially if your seats are out in direct sunlight areas of the grandstands like ours were. Even on an overcast day, you can still come away fried like a lobster from the UV rays that come through overcast and even dark clouds. If you aren't used to loud noise or have never been around a racetrack before, bring earplugs in case. I lucked out and the noise didn't bother me and my sensitive ears at all. I actually ENJOYED hearing the loud, powerful engines roar by on the track! And, one more fab tip: There's not a bad seat in the house to sit and enjoy the beautiful mountain views and the races. It's all wide open and visibility is fantastic! Getting in and out of PIR can be crazy if you aren't used to it, but I do recommend taking in a race and absorbing the whole experience and ambience of Phoenix International Raceway, especially on a gorgeous fall day. We live in Northern California, and up until this point had not ventured beyond Infineon/Sonoma Raceway. We've been there twice, and enjoy it, but it's a road course and we were eager to experience an oval track. As luck would have it, Hubby's aunt & uncle live in Scottsdale, and the planets just aligned for us to visit them for the first time and wrap in attending the Subway Fresh Fit 500 race to watch a NASCAR race on an oval track. Score!! I can tell you that getting in and out of PIR is SOOOOO much better than Infineon. That helped set the tone. Plus, Uncle has a handicap license plate, so we got to bypass a lot of the traffic at PIR and zip on up to the handicap lot, pretty darned close to the track. Cool! There was lots of room to move, lots of places you could easily spend a lot of money on your favorite driver of choice. You should have SEEN the mass of people at Danica's merchandise trailer...wow! And after the race, winning really helped Carl Edwards' merchandise sell, as evidenced by the sea of people there! Good for him! Anyway, we were seated in section Allison 1E, Row 35...it was PERFECT to view the whole track from our Turn 1 vantage point. Plus, if it had been sunny (it was overcast almost all day), we would have been in the shade. When we come back to PIR, we will try to get the same section and seats because it worked out perfectly for us. Exiting went pretty smoothly, but we actually waited about an hour after the race to leave because I met up with some friends who had their RV parked at PIR since the Tuesday before. Pretty sweet set-up, I must say! Had a great time, and can't wait to come back to PIR. Just definitely remember to bring earplugs ;) read more

It's nice to have a racetrack that gets Nascar a couple times a year and now the Indy Series. The facilities themselves are way out in the boonies and traffic can be really bad on race days. The concession stands serve just basic food and bland macro beers like Bud and Coors. I'm thinking that they'll be expanding and upgrading the facilities in the future and it will hopefully make the experience a lot better. read more
