My husband and I were researching this swap meet so we could possibly rent a space to get rid of some excess household products. Parking was free. The entrance fee was $3 per person. They did check our bags for guns they said. It was pretty much what I expected. Rows and rows of hats, clothing, tools etc. I noticed the prices were much like a retail store front. I really didn't see much discounted items. Lots of redundant merchandise. We were told it's $28 to rent a space. The main office was super friendly and helpful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Place is dirty. People selling expired goods,coffees,lotions,foods.When buying the items,taking the items, it smells.

Stopped by last Sunday around 1:30pm and people were starting to leave for the day. The parking lot was not too full so we found a spot towards the back. Parking was free, the lot had a ton of pot holes, and people were driving erratically so be careful. Made it on over to the ticket booth and got in line for our entrance tickets. The fee is $2 and lucky for me, military veterans get in for free. My sister bought her ticket and we went to the entrance. We walked in and and the browsing started. People watching here is so much fun and interesting. A lot of the items being sold were not my thing and a lot of the shops had repetitive items. The vendors were nice but I was getting yard sale vibes from a lot of what they were selling. We bought 3 t-shirts and a bag of kettle corn and spent about $60. There were a few food stalls and a few carnival rides that were operating at the time. I personally though, would not ride them because they look super beat up and seem like they are on their last straw.. Not sure if I would return anytime soon but it wasn't too bad either. read more

The swap meet is fun to check out every once in a while. It's $2 per person and masks are required. Hubs and I have came a couple times and it's pretty large with a lot of similar vendors. There are a couple that look like they are selling other peoples bulk trash throw outs but others are cool to check out. They have standard clothes vendors, shoes, tools, accessories even birds. There is food vendors and really good kettle corn vendor. Oh and it's shaded. Overall, it's a swap meet and while larger than others it's shaded and fun to look around and see what you can find. I read the reviews and simply concluded this is not a place for me. There are a lot of vendors however, it's overpriced junk in my opinion. They do have a lot of things from clothes, to toys to tools, fruits, veggies, food vendors and more. Three of us went and all three of us were disappointed. I was looking for outdoor lawn decor. I contacted Joan Wells there and she gave me a list of about 30 venders that carried exactly what I was looking for. I am in Ahwatukee so it is a bit of a drive but well worth it I dound a 4 ft metal Saguaro Cactus and a 4ft metal Agave both are beautiful and was under $300 for both. Much better prices than other local business that carry these. I lost large plants this summer in the heat. These don't need water, trimming and won't die and have to be dug up. There wasn't a lot that I was interested in browsing through when I was here. Admission is $2 per person (Cash only) and while the actual swap meet is under shade there were huge areas of the lot that had pools of water from yesterday's rain, making it awkward to navigate around in some spots. There is an area off to the side for rides and carnival games if you bring your kids with you. Goods for sale were varied. They were mostly cheap knick-knack type items, clothing, or accessories. They did have some more unusual items for sale at the swap meet, such as a dubious looking stand selling cages overcrowded with budgies, lovebirds and canaries, and a booth selling fancy looking furniture. Off on the far side of the lot they had a lot of produce for sale, including an intriguing spiky-haired avocado looking fruit that I had never seen before. Food options are basically fast food and Mexican, offering burgers, churros, raspados, elote, hot dogs, burritos and tacos. I was starving and paid $3 for a generously sized churro heavily laced with sugar. Although served hot it was slightly stale, and it tasted like it was fried in really spent, old oil as well. We only went here really because it was a stop along the light rail when we were headed back from downtown Phoenix. I probably wouldn't venture here again since there wasn't anything I wanted to buy and the food I had wasn't very good. read more

We were surprised to see this huge Park'n Swap as we rode west on the light rail. Of course, that meant we knew we were stopping on the way back. Being on the light rail route makes quite a difference. There is an admission of only $2 per person. It's a typical flea market and lots of fun to walk through. it's also one of the biggest I've been in. There are ponies for the kids to ride, lots of odds'n ends. Some of it is new and some of it is used. There are also used cars for sale and, of course, several food vendors. We enjoyed the time we spent and if we come back to the area am sure we will check it out again. read more

The worst. The new things were just like shopping at any other store, except with lower service and no protection. The rest was like a huge garage sale for stolen merchandise. A vendor tried to sell us a 128 GB phone that was actually a 32 GB phone with the 32 crossed out and a 128 written by hand. It's a swap meet. The 5stars is "for a swap meet, it's 5 star" I feel comfortable bringing my family here. Decent stuff. Good prices. If you can't find it in stores, you'll find it here! Where else can you grab a corn dog, get a tattoo and a parakeet within walking distance? The entry is a mere $2, and it's worth every one of those 200 pennies. The people watching is great, the food is not horribly overpriced, and the number of unique "white elephant" gifts is staggering. You can find used tools, new work clothes and even steel toe boots. Actually the boots there are quite good, I'll get some in a couple weeks. There are rides for the kiddos and a petting zoo. Fast food, cold drinks; a good sized 8pc chicken tenders with fries and 32oz drink is $9.50. A good enough deal for being food court fare. Canned beer for sale at every aisle means you can satiate your thirst and work yourself up to getting an open-air tattoo! Oh yeah, the tattoo shop next to the salon, also open air gives this place the certain je ne se quai that make this park-n-swap a true gem for me. I've been coming here for 35 years, much less so in the past 15, because it has gone downhill every year since its heyday. This is what you get: Every single vendor sells the same crap. Rows and rows and rows of identical stuff. What kind of stuff, you ask? Styrofoam plates, mangos, knockoff shoes, tshirts, and toy guns dangling from the shade roof. That's your selection. You can find these items in aisle F, aisle E, aisle G, and so on. You can never escape these items, nor will you find much of anything else with 2 exceptions. There's a guy selling parakeets and a crystal shop in the front. How did it used to be? Well, this place literally had everything. Families would come and sell their garage sale stuff, mom and pop businesses would sell their handicrafts, small businesses would set up shop and sell everything from silver jewelry to baseball cards, rocks, comic books, collectibles, you name it. Those people are long, long gone. Why? What happened? Did crime get too bad? Did China literally take over the marketplace? Did Park N Swap give them the boot? I wish I knew. If it doesn't change back to the way it used to be, and the way it should be, I won't be returning. read more

The tables in the eating areas need to be soaked and power washed. All the bathrooms need to be soaked and power washed, you can hardly tell what color the floor is because all they do is drag a filthy mop around. The bathroom stall walls may have never been wiped down, ever. Your going to actually get more germs on your hands by touching everything in the bathroom to wash your hands then to just leave your hands alone and not washing them. A lot of stuff's not even marked with prices, they give you a price by how dumb you look and if you're one of their family. On the plus side, veterans get in free just show some identification that you're a veteran. Large soft drinks are $3.50, I do not know anything about the food but I probably don't want to know. read more
