75% of how I rate my nail salons is by how much and how bad the trash talking is before they realize I can understand them. There was a lot of smack from most of the techs when I came into the salon for a gel mani/basic pedi, but nothing worse than customers with ugly feet, spoiled tweens (this annoyed me the most, who cares how parents spend their money on their kids if it's not your own money?), and judgement on your life. I tried to tell my tech that I understand everything they're saying but she didn't hear me (too busy talking hahaha) until we sat down for the mani. One of the other techs straight up said my polish choice is ugly (not "not pretty" but butt ugly! Those who understand Viet know the difference!) and I actually agreed with her (in English, guess she didn't hear me) but I didn't ask to change it since it my mistake, not my tech's and I can live with it for a few weeks. I did ask for a different color for my mani! The other tech has a lot to say about everyone but nothing worse than your typical annoying auntie. My tech tried to defend my color choice (all while assuming I don't understand) but did say my skin is dry as heck. Once she realized I can speak and understand Viet, she was so happy and trashed my dry skin to my face LOL gotta love the honesty and she backtracked once she realized I'm in my 40's so my dry skin wasn't that bad for an old lady I guess! My basic pedi was great compared to the other place I went to and my tech did a good job. Their basic pedi is a lot better than Envy Nails overall and felt more luxurious even without the extra spending. She didn't talk smack about me picking their basic pedi and didn't try to upsell. She did a great job shaping my short, natural nails that I'm trying to grow and was weak from getting acrylics over a year ago. She suggested almond shape, which is what I want but had asked for round assuming they're too short. Overall, gel mani and basic pedi is $75, which I understand isn't a huge amount to spend on your nails, but it's not a small amount! Original rating would have been 3 out of 5 stars for this place, but compared to the other place I went to, I added a star. read more

Tried this place today as I am looking for a new nail salon.... A bit disappointed overall.... Price was high ($62 for a mani/pedi with NO color!), and the tech was not wonderful. She seemed very rushed, to the point of forgetting several things, like cleaning out under the nails, etc. Caught some skin around my middle toe with the rough side of the big file, which then stung quite a bit. She left the surfaces of my nails very rough; I had to smooth them and buff them when I got home. The massage with lotion was very rushed, and she got lotion on the cuffs of my trousers. When she asked me to walk from the pedi station to the mani station, she did not give me flipflops, but expected me to walk barefoot on the dirty floor... I could see other people's toenail cuttings on the floor, along with a lot of dust and dirt! She then got snippy when I asked for the flipflops. All in all I would say this is not one of the better nail salons in Warrenton. The search continues........... read more

I hate to write a bad review. The staff is normally very sweet. This time however was very UNCOMFORTABLE and AWKWARD. I went in for a pedicure and I showed a reference picture of a pink and white French tip. She didn't put a base coat. She only painted the tip of my nail white and put clear on top. ??? There was NO pink and white. I could still see the imperfections of my natural nail because there was no nailpolish. When I told her this was different from what I wanted and I wanted she got very angry and it became extremely awkward and uncomfortable. Another coworker went over and calmed her down and she grabbed pink and applied it on top. It ended up getting pink on top of the white tip. AND WAS JUST MESSY. She asked me if it was better and at that point I just felt waaay too uncomfortable to say that I didn't like it. . I want to like this place, but it was extremely unprofessional for her to get frustrated at me. read more

Second visit to this spa, my pedicure was great i wish I remembered the ladies name. The older lady that did my dip manicure was not pleasant. I had a difficult time getting her to understand what I wanted , someone else had to tell her. She burned my fingers with the file a few times and cut my cuticles way to close and my fingers were sore for a couple days. She didnt speak hardly until it was time for a tip. Normally I get my nails done every 3 weeks . Its only been a week and I have to get them done again... 2 have already started chipping. I wont go back. read more

I used to love this place. But, after so many occasions of mistreatment from Tina I'm done. She is incredibly rude and unprofessional. As many times as I've had services done at this salon I've never seen her in a good mood. The environment isn't as relaxing and friendly as it once was when they first opened. Don, however, is a gem. Awful. Dirty. Bugs. Rude people. Not worth the cost. I made reservations for 5 people. When we arrived they had two of us wait, one of them waiting for 30mins+. Three of the women were extremely rude to us as soon as we got there and continued from then on. It was a complete rush job, not trimming cuticles and cutting/filing too short so we bled. With how much we paid and how the nail polish came off the next day, it's not worth it going here. I have gone to countless other nail salons and paid less for SO much more. To top it all off the place was so gross with stink bugs, cobwebs, dirt and dust everywhere. I'm not sure why this is so highly rated. Phoenix Nails is the best place in the Warrenton/Bealeton area to get your nails done by far. The entire staff is always amazing but I do prefer Don. He can do ombré nails for anybody in the area looking for someone qualified!! I also loved the chrome nails he once did for me. The crew is polite and thorough. They always offer you a drink as soon as you sit down. And to top off the experience they are always CLEAN!! Probably the only nail salon in the area who's restroom i would actually use. read more

The design wasn't difficult at all, just some white lines over a neutral background. An absolute waste of money. I've been getting mani-pedis at various salons for years. My nails are quite small and deep set, so I always get hurt. Mimi is the first person I've ever had give me a good, gentle pedicure with perfectly applied gel polish. My toenails are trimmed neatly and evenly. My full set gel manicure is exactly the shape I requested (rounded square), the proper length for typing (I work on a computer) and the polish is even and smooth. I wish she would follow me back to my hometown (I live out of state.) I would give her seven stars if I could. Thank you so much! read more

I'm so glad I noticed this gem of a salon! I checked Yelp, they had great reviews, so I called for an appointment. The reviews were right! I've had such a hard time finding a great, affordable salon in this area. Phoenix Nails is it for me now! The prices are perfect, and they offer discounts for paying in cash (see picture). All tips must be given in cash. I wish I could give 4.5 stars. The only reason I took anything away is because it took 1.5 hours for my acrylic fill to be finished and dry. However, Crystal did have to make some repairs to my nails, and she did a beautiful job. read more

I've been going to Phoenix for a few years now and I'm so sad to write this review! We recently had a wedding there (I made the appointment because I raved about this place!) and it wasn't a good experience. My sister got two infected cuticles (BADLY infected), my nails were the wrong color (the technician swapped them out when I wasn't looking), the tips on my left hand were placed on crooked and I witnessed a technician scream at my 12-year-old cousin in her face for not understanding what she was saying when she was wearing a mask and had a very thick accent. My total was also $112 without tip for fingers placed on crookedly, wrong color fingers and toenails. I would have said something about the color but I was very concerned with the technician's aggressive attitude. Maybe a good salon for a quick mani, but do not use if you have a group!!! read more

Walked in, was told it would be 10 to 15 mins and then sat there for 20...then two other customers walk in after me and sign some book...which the lady that spoke to me never told me to sign! There aren't even words to describe this nail salon. They do an excellent job on my nails. I've had basic manicures and pedicures, gel manicures, and waxes. They use clean tools on each person and the location is clean. I prefer Don to do my nails but I've never had a bad experience with anyone. My favorite thing about this salon is if they make a mistake or you do not like what they've done, they take every action possible to fix it. They truly value what you want. read more

I Love this place for my pedicures but recently had my brows waxed there and my eyebrows broke out in tons of pimples, i even got a large cystic pimple where the woman had touched my face with her thumb, i did not see her wash her hands before. I went last week for pedicure and manicure, new place so they took me long time for waiting. I will not come back again. Not recommended

I went in to get gel polish only, and specified that I did not want cuticles or filing/shaping bc I just had my nails done a few days ago (different salon) but the polish started lifting. Was asked again while at station about cuticles and I said no. She proceeded to cut them anyway and did light filing. Also pointed out a couple of times that my nails are thin (yes, I'm aware). Polish job not great - thick and inconsistent/gloppy. Not worth $20. read more
