Mutual respect for each others time and views, be competent, professional, and ethical. I scheduled an appointment with this office only to be called back the next day and tell me that they were not taking appoitments for that day after all. OK, I get it, schedules change. I rescheduled and was told to arrive 15 min early for paperwork and that the paperwork was available online if I wanted to do it ahead of time. First, not all the forms are actually on line so what's the point and second, I did the paperwork ahead of time AND arrived early anyway. 10 min past appointment time - 15 min past appointment time - 20 min past appointment time and not a word. at 25 min past appointment time they mention that they are running late. At 35 min past appointment time I walk up and retrieve all my paperwork and leave. This office, in my experience has no respect for the patient - no less a new patient and one that was referred to them from a colleague. I can only imagine what type of doctor/patient relationship this would be if they can't even respect your time. However, based on the other reviews of Marshall Family Care, I don't' have to imagine - this seems like the way they conduct their practice. I provided the appropriate feedback to the referring physician. Go in with low expectations if you go at all.

We see Anthony or Amy every time, so they truly know us, and our entire family's history. They are top notch doctors who take time to listen and are very thorough. We used to wait days for an appointment, never see the same doctor, repeat our history and feel rushed. Usually just deferring to Urgent Care. The environment they've created is warm, welcoming, and personal. Our kids actually enjoy going to the doctor, feel comfortable, and know they are seen, heard, and cared for. Sometimes you don't realize how special something is until you experience the difference. We are incredibly thankful we made the switch and found providers we can truly count on and trust.

I noticed many complaints of timeliness giving this practice a lower score but realize that when her patients are on time, she can give them her full attention for the full alotted time. This also allows her to stay on time for her next patient which is so respectful. I love that she stays on schedule and if you know you tend to run late, put an earlier time on your calendar so you are respectful of everyones time. It is standard practice to charge late fees, no show fees, cancellation fees etc. How else can you run an efficient clinic? I think this place is fantastic and I was appalled to see so many complaints...yet after reading them, they were all from people who can't show up on time or pay a bill...that is not a Karibu problem. In my opinion, this clinic is top notch!

Accepts Medicare Bad- I cant think of any besides they dont have a website? Part of the charm perhaps. Works for old fogies like myself. The Story- I have issues, I know. I am a diabetic. I am on Insulin. I am overweight and I have high Blood Pressure. I came into the Desert Foothills Medical Center Urgent Care a few weeks ago. I was in a panic. I couldnt breath. I thought I was having a heart attack. It was 4pm in the afternoon, and I found Desert Foothills in the phone book (they dont have a webpage, if you can imagine). I was greated at the door by a well dressed lady with a calm demeanor. I came to find out that she was the owner's (Doctor Martin Chattman) wife Joann. Granted, you might at this point think this is an odd "mom and pop" style version of Medicine. But it's not. The urgent care was modern, immaculately kept. I was immediately ushered to a Cardiac Bed and hooked up to a heart monitor. Within 5 minutes, Doctor Chattman himself was seeing to me. He was calm, extremely knowledgeable. He determined that my heart had no problem. I was relieved. I wanted to leave. Dr. Chattman prompted me otherwise, and spent the time (Which i have never had a doctor do) to talk to me, and really understand what I was going through. I told him about my chest tightness, my dizziness and slight cough. He insisted I get a Chest X-ray, which they did in the back room. 30 minutes later, I got my results. Dr. Chattman took one look at my X-ray and diagnosed me with pnuemonia; A condition brought on by my weakened immune system. Something that had been missed by every other doctor I had seen simply because they considered my symptoms on the part of me being obese. (turned out later to be "walking pnuemonia" which is harder to diagnose). I cant go as far as to credit Dr. Chattman with saving my life. But I can surely attest to the fact that he has made it a lot better. I am on the mend, and I feel wonderful.
