He is very witty and speaks with great knowledge of the topics. Yes the tour is walking and definitely different than what we expected but we were not let down. It was hot, but we were very fascinated by how Lucas was telling the stories. I felt like Lucas was my audiobook as I took photos around the areas we toured. Yes you could read it all on the internet and plan accordingly, but the experience is what you make it. If you're gonna sit and be disappointed that the tour is walking and "boring", but even at times that I felt like I was not paying attention I was taking photos around in hopes to catch something. At the Teeter house I did catch what I think is an apparition in the window... let me know what you think! Take the tour it's worth it. I regret not purchasing the extended tour with Lucas!!

The most popular visitation experience is through the self-guided audio tour, which my partner and I opted for on a Sunday morning during their last slot at 10:45am and purchased the additional matching card set. We parked in the small, gravel parking lot out front, walked to the gift shop entrance to start our audio tour. Since we were about 15 minutes late, we were advised to start a few stations into the tour and follow through until its completion. While it's clearly outlined on its website to bring your own earphones, we forgot to, but we were provided with equipment to borrow. We also downloaded the app for listening. This day was particularly hot, so we opted to skip over the outside stations and instead listen to their tour while sitting in the inside stations. The site in general is not very air-conditioned, although some stations do have some air-conditioning. I would highly recommend bringing an umbrella to shade from the sun as well as a hat and handheld personal fan. The experience speaks for itself. But I'd recommend it for anyone in the area with free time in the morning and an appreciation for art.

For a tour, there wasn't much information provided during the ride, the person in the front was the only one who could hear, and the info provided wasn't all that interesting. There was no wow factor to this trip. Now that I think of it, we didn't even stop at the pretty spots, we stopped under the power lines. Others in the group took pictures and mine weren't very good so there's no need for me to post them...it was pretty though.

Overall, this was a nice scenic tour of multiple golf courses, a waterway, a lake, and some really cool giant horse statues. Our tour guide Jonathan was very informative. We had a microphone device that we could hear out of during the tour when he'd give history lessons and other information about the areas we were passing. They have another route that goes toward Tempe Lake so I would not rule out trying that one day in the future.

When my family came to visit from NYC for the weekend, I was on a mission. I wanted to show them…read morethat Phoenix has more to offer than cacti, 115-degree weather, and Instagram worthy rooftops. I was looking for a spot with fresh, flavorful food, a relaxed vibe, and maybe a little something extra to keep my teenage nieces and nephew entertained. MATCH Market & Bar checked just about every box. Before we even ordered, the kids were already wandering through the little market area, which turned out to be half the fun. They found a locally designed jigsaw puzzle, grabbed a few unique snacks for later, and suddenly I had bought myself a few uninterrupted minutes to look over the menu. Parents, aunts, uncles... you know those moments are priceless. Now let's talk about the food. We went all in. Salmon, steak, fresh salads, wings, tacos, appetizers, a sandwich (don't ask me which one because everybody was reaching across the table stealing bites), fries, and every plate was a winner. Rooms were large and very open!!! Keep this in mind if rooming with someone. Bathroom is frosted glass walls. FYI. It can get a little noisy at night. lol. Pool is nice, no life guard. But also not that large. Pleasant. All in all I had a good stay here 5 nights! I would love to do it again!!!
