There was some ac indoors and indoor bathrooms available too. We didn't get to check out the other side and stage though. Just stayed at main stage. It did get hot later on the more packed it got. The main issue was the poor planning by Insomniac resulting in many waiting outside in line in the heat for hours just to get in. I would have passed out. We were at the back of the line for about 30 mins. Luckily, one in our group managed to get right up near the front just before security check so we all joined him. I think it took us an hour total to get in from when we were dropped off. Insomniac did offer a full refund or tickets to a future festival! I opted for the full refund. The wait for the rideshare leaving the event was horrible. We had one that took forever to get there and then when they were almost there, the ride canceled. It took forever to get another.

The only downside of the trip was having to wake up early to board the bus to get to California early. There is a $3 dollar payment you have to pay in order to board the bus but it goes towards the bus drivers. This is also noted on all the paperwork and info sheets you get before signing up for the trip. While in California, everything ran smoothly and we had our freedom to roam around and do our thing until it was time to meet back at the buses. We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hitlon hotel that has an average of four stars. It was very nice and clean, plus they have the best cookies ever! They have a Starbucks in the lobby and provide a pool and hot tub as well. There is also an outlet mall in the area that is fun to shop at and isn't a far walk. My favorite part of the trip was Universal Studios because people on the grad trip can stay after hours and go on rides (free of long lines!!). One thing to be aware of is to dress appropriately when going to Universal Studios because they do have a dress code. Other parts of the trip included going to the beach where you get a lot of downtime to do whatever you feel like, ie: rent bikes, swim, tan, eat, etc. Knott's Berry Farm was also super exciting because they have the best roller-coasters and funnel cakes. All the chaperones were very nice and made sure each kid had what they needed. Michael Gutierrez who told us to call him G was by far the coolest guy ever and cracked jokes with us. He told us about how he was a High School Science teacher which is probably why he was so good at communicating with everyone. G has been running these trips for years and is very patient and understanding. He does stay back in California for an extra day while we all take the buses back home; so if you are looking to speak with him, he is very good about picking up calls and responding to emails. I found this out when I thought I left something at the hotel and had to contact him to see if it was there... turns out it was in my luggage lol. Tips: try to make your payment on time because you can get dropped and someone can take your place if you don't. Also dress comfortably, have some pocket money, bring a friend to make it even more fun, and just have a great time! I usually am not one to write reviews for places mostly out of forgetfulness and laziness but I would definitely advise anyone looking for a grad trip to do this one before it fills up. It was a reasonable price for the amount of things you get to do and had the perfect balance of fun activities and leisure time!! It was definitely an unforgettable time!

My first experience with Hot City Limo was a life-changing experience. I don't mean that in the "reborn/saved" sense, but in the way that made me look at public transportation differently. It made me reevaluate how I wanted to spend my time traveling around town. Why not spend a little more money to get from A to B if you have some private space, are allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverage, and have control of the AC, radio, and conversation (or lack thereof?) I have to admit that I was blown away by the professional manner and friendly attitude of the drivers (yes, I have used Hot City Limo more than once--try both Nick and Jerry out, as they are both amazing people and excellent drivers!) Having taken a taxi more than a couple dozen times in a few handfuls of cities (Seattle to LA to Miami to NY and back--I travel quite a bit), I was shocked at the difference in the quality of service. It was like staying at a 5 star hotel with a king size bed and preferred member's club room access instead of a $49/night Comfort Inn with cockroaches in the bathroom. I will NEVER go back to a taxi cab in Phoenix now that I can arrange a Hot City Limo ride. What to expect? A high class ride where you can pre-funk on the way to the club or relax with a drink from Tuscon to Sedona. A private driver on call. Heck yeah! Time to experience what everyone else wants! Anytime I go out and I know I will drink, I call Hot City Limo. If I want to impress a date and take her out (and drink) I call Hot City Limo. If I want to go experience the nightlife without worrying about a DUI, I arrange a ride with Hot City Limo to get me home safely. The Blue Line WAS a North/South bus loop winding from concrete Paradise Valley Mall down to some…read moreSouth Phoenix oasis (probably a myth since I've never been there) called the "Ed Pastor Center", and back again. The Blue Line WAS great because I could pick it up just outside my home near Squaw Peak and ride it through the Camelback corridor, down Central to downtown. Without a transfer. That's all changed with light rail. Instead of proceeding down Central to downtown, the line's new southern terminus is Central and Camelback, a fortuitous endpoint for Sweet Tomatoes & Applebees' afficionados but not so great for citizenry with taste. Or places to go. Like, uh, me. Now I trudge off the bus, sneer at Applebee's and get my cancerous tan waiting for ostensibly convenient light rail to venture downtown. It's worse coming back, timing the transfer, cuz the bus back to my house only runs every half hour. This "new improved" Blue Line (they now call it the 39, presumably for the extra minutes they've tacked onto my trip) is makin' me blue. On second thought, maybe I'll just hop in the car :- (

Date of tour: June 6, 2026…read more I almost didn't find this gem of a tour when there wasn't much on my go to site, Viator, but thankfully my fellow Yelpers came through with a stellar tour with Lindsey! We hit five different places in Old Town Scottsdale and definitely came away with our heads full of additional knowledge and our stomachs full of delicious food. It should come as no surprise that Lindsey is a teacher given the attention to detail and history in the information that she shared, and didn't mind one bit when I took some of the wind out of her sails with the Milwaukee connection that one of our steps--AZ88--had with a popular eatery back home. The amount of walking wasn't too much for my mom (recovering from knee surgery), and I cannot appreciate enough that the company didn't cancel the tour despite it just being the two of us on the tour with Lindsey. I also enjoyed that she was a true local, being on a first name-basis with much of the staff at the stops we made, driving home the comments she shared about being a local resident. The stops were varied from chips and salsa to bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, from elote to wine and cheese. And any tour that ends with gelato has to be good!

Bootleggers, where we were served kale salad, brisket nachos and apple pie moonshine. 2. The Mission, where we were served pork tacos and a spicy elote. 3. Wine Collective, where we sampled 3 wines and snacked on charcuterie. 4. Cimmino's, where we had our choice of several flavors of gelato -- and the ingredients were imported from Italy! Each stop featured a unique atmosphere and tasty food. I really appreciated their ability to accommodate dietary restrictions -- because I don't eat red meat, I was provided with two smoked turkey tacos in place of brisket nachos, and with chicken tacos in place of pork tacos. This was a huge plus for me! We spent about half an hour at each establishment before walking to the next. As we traveled, Zach shared some fun facts about the area's history. I left with a satisfied tummy and some great new memories.
