BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a Andersen WD hitch and a three component camera system from Phoenix at 2pm on 3/14/25. I called back two hours later to cancel the camera system. I was informed that it had "already shipped" and there would be a restocking fee. I immediately canceled the whole order. I discovered that Phoenix was charging me a $79 "shipping fee"and I learned that there was no shipping fee if the order was over $500. That was on the Hitch. They were also charging me $25 shipping fee for the camera system. $28 for an "aircraft grade video cable" which as not needed. I called Scott Hayes who owns Phoenix to discuss my dissatisfaction. He accused me of canceling the hitch order "out of spite" and threaten to give me my deposit back in the form of a store credit. At that point I backed off and agreed to pay him the $50 bogus shipping fee. I trusted Phoenix and was not very astute with my purchase. My first suspicion came when I pulled out my credit card to pay the deposit and was informed that they would add 3% to my order if I paid with credit. 98% off all other businesses consider that fee as a cost of doing business. I will give Mr. Hayes credit for giving me a 5% Veterans Discount but, while better than nothing, its still the smallest VA discount I've ever been offered. I was treated very poorly. I hope you will watch out for shipping fees and the added 3% credit card fee. read more

Highly recommend against purchasing from Phoenix Conversions. I purchased a Tonneau cover here and it has fallen loose of the rails twice already. Them having a defective product I requested to get my money back or store credit and they refused and said they would just fix it over and over again. I have been doing business with Phoenix Conversion now for almost 10 years. I have had them install numerous accessories and perform modifications to at least three vehicles. I have had nothing but great service and quality product. A few of purchase include truck tool boxes, a bed topper (camper shell), a roll away bed cover, spray-on coating to bottom of an RV, spray and install a heavy duty rear truck bumper, install an electric brake controller, and have stored my RV in their storage facility. I called Tim at PC. He was nice. I needed a gooseneck put in my truck. No problem. I also needed my trailer light plug-in repaired. No problem he said. I told him it was a 2001 Chevy and it was very hard to find. I had checked AutoZone, ORilies, etc... unsuccessfully. Tim said no problem, we will replace it. I even sent Tim pictures of it. No problem Mr. Adkins. I agreed to the cost. Two weeks later, I arrived 15 minutes late because of traffic. Apparently if you're 1 minut late it throughs off their entire schedule and they fall to pieces. 10 minutes later the jackass from the back comes in and says I need a new adapter and a couple of wires run. No problem for me until he said it would be an additional charge. I said BS! You need to talk with Tim. A few minutes later they took me back and started explaining their BS. I said I don't care. This is your issue NOT mine. At that point they said they couldn't do because of other appointments. Which told me "there are more important customers than you"! I told them to pull my truck around. Then while awaiting my refund for my deposit, Jackass showed back up with a couple of smart ass comments. They finally told Jackass to go back to the shop where he belonged. They could tell my blood pressure had reached its boiling point. All they had to do was explain running 2 wires was not part of the quote. I was willing to pay for it but they said they couldn't today because of their schedule. Pathetic service!!!! Pathetic people skills!!!! They let a $1100 job walk out the door and more importantly, a pissed off ex-customer who will never give them business again. Word of mouth and Karma is a bitch. Phoenix Conversions recently installed a roof fan on my RV. I had to deal with the HUGE leak less than 2 months after installation. They're not open on the weekends and with more rain in the forecast, I was forced to pay someone to fix the issue. Prognosis by the repairman: The sealing job Phoenix Conversions performed left large gaps that allowed water to pour in. Sealant had to be removed and redone. I am very disappointed with the poor job performed by Phoenix Conversions. read more

Wow, another experience reported as negative. But reviewing, their main problems seemed to be not liking Phoenix's operating hours and bad weather. All I can report is my excellent experiences with Phoenix. On 3/14/18 I had them install a front viewing curb camera for my pickup. (The hood was a problem when parking forward.). I decided I didn't like the automatic activation feature in the camera system which would activate when entering a road from a sharp decline, or when approaching something like a speed bump in the road. Phoenix modified the switching system so the camera would no longer activate unless I physically turned it on. They did not charge me for this extra modification. As you can tell, they are my go to for my any after market vehicle needs. Always high quality. Because they are good, you may have to wait for appointment - but well worth the wait. I ordered a commercial topper for my truck, and gave them a 50 percent deposit. I was told it would take 3-4 wks. I called to ck on it at 3 wks, and was told maybe next wk. I called at 4 wks and told that there was a mistake and the factory had no record of the order. Apparently their policy is to simply send a fax to the factory without any follow up. My salesman, Glenn, blamed the whole incident on the factory. I was offered nothing but an apology. I received a refund of my deposit and took my business elsewhere. Later in the day Scott, the owner, called to offer another apology. A nice gesture, but I have just started a new business. Waiting another 4 wks for my utility topper has caused me hardship that an apology isn t going to make up for. Bottom line: If you depend on your vehicle, do not depend on these guys! read more
