We had our 2024 Subaru Impreza to have a front and rear dashcam installed that we purchased elsewhere. We reached out to Radioactive for a quote and the owner, Shaun, got back to us right away. We were given a day to make an appointment and an estimate for the work to be done. They were booking about 2 weeks out, which was fine for us. The night before our appointment, Shaun called me and confirmed that we were coming. The next day, we arrived and the car was quickly taken in. We decided to wait at the shop, as there is a small waiting area with about three chairs. We could see why they were booking out, people after people came in looking for parts and/or dropping off their cars. It took a little bit longer than expected, but we were totally fine with that. The results were fantastic and we couldn't be happier. Everything was run through the car and there are zero wires showing. They were able to hook it up straight to the battery with the fuses kit we purchased. Highly recommend the team at Radioactive for anything car audio related. Also found out they do tinting in both carbon and ceramic, remote starts, alarms, custom subwoofer enclosures, and custom LED lighting. I talked with the owner ahead of time to get some pricing ideas and trying to figure out what could be done with my vehicle. The dealer I had gotten my car from got it at an auction and someone at some point just cut every wire behind the stereo and pulled out some of the harness stuff. Radioactive was very thorough in trying to get it all fixed to as stock as possible and unfortunately there's just not a lot that can be done cheaply (I'm sure could have spent $1000+ to have everything working the right way, but it's not worth it to me, lol). In the end they were very fair in what they charged me to get my stereo installed the correct, PROFESSIONAL, way. (unlike the dealer who said he paid for a $1000 stereo install and I ended up with a low end stereo and a poor install job) Will definitely go back for other needs! read more

They kept ALL of my extra installation parts, and my Trans temp guage doesn't work after that opened the guage cluster to install the mic. .. otherwise the radio and nav work. I haven't a clue how to set the time/date.. read more

Outstanding service with competitive price. I had a Sony radio installed but they did not have the trim piece in stock. The owner called me when it came in and they quickly installed it. About a week later I noticed the A Pillar panel was cracked on the bottom. I stopped by the shop and they ordered a new one and installed it when it came in. I came about a bit over a month and a half to two months. amazing people and amazing staff truly. i've seen the work from others and hear a lot of good things about the place but sadly the gift i got my girlfriend wasn't the best. things went a bit slow at first but not due to any of them. just the stuff i brought. got a new amp due to needing a new one and they got the job done!!! but the first time i was waiting for my new amp in i see it all still off completely and wonder why and i see the fuse is left on the hood just all of it taken apart. not a huge deal just a $7 fuse but still the fact just that and we could have waited longer due to it. about a month go by now and im wondering why in my girlfriends car its not been as loud as they were before. i ask and she states she hasn't messed with anything at all due to me telling her it would mess up the warranty of installing. i take a better look at it and was just kinda disappointed. i take a good look at the subs after moving them and talking a better look and notice the subs are not moving right. and after that i see that wires were in the wrong spots and the negative wire was in the positive spot and they were reversed so the subs were sucking in and not out. so today i take apart the sub and smell inside and check everything out. burnt. i was wondering why for months why they weren't even as loud as before. even with a bigger amp!! rewired them myself and made sure to put them in the right spot on both sides. the sound did definitely sound way better and deeper than when i first got them in her car but when i took them out of my old car which was the same car just older model they definitely hit way harder than they do now. just sucks considering my girlfriend doesn't listen to too much music at such a loud volume. i hate to complain about it because i feel like i shouldn't for the work they do but sadly it just wasn't a good day for me or my gift for her i guess. the subs may be close to done now but oh well it happens. still a very good place to get work done trust me ive seen a lot of it!!! and still do trust them to do audio work. i definitely recommend 5 stars to everything else ive seen but sadly seeing this i have to do 3 stars for me. definitely will be back when i decide to get a new setup for her in the next weeks! read more

Things happen, I get it. I don't like leaving negative reviews about any person or company, but sometimes we have to. 1st: American Radio quoted me $1740 for a pioneer head unit, with all speakers, sub, amp Rockford Fosgate. Their system included the required maestro unit to incorporate steering wheel controls and backup camera. Radioactive quoted me the same pioneer hu, with Memphis speakers and Skar sub and amp. Didn't know about maestro, quoted me $1450. After doing the build they realized they needed maestro, add $200 so they were approximately $100 cheaper. 2nd: made my first appointment, but after arriving (shop is 40 minutes from home) they said they didn't have the Manpower to manage their overbooked schedule, so I had to come back. When I came back, they said the job would take longer than expected, so they rescheduled me but kept the car, so days without my car... then when they realized maestro was required, I had to go back an additional time to drop off the car for the install, so back and forth multiple times 40 minutes each way... 3rd: never heard of Skar, but was sole on it by Shaun (owner) who bragged about their amazing warranty. Well, 7 months in, my amp went. When I brought it in for warranty repair or replacement, the employee said "I know it sucks not having tunes, do you want to just buy another amp?" Uhh, no, I bought this for the warranty I was told about. A month goes by. Finally get the replacement amp. I go into the shop and only one guy is there, and I'm told it would take too long to get it done, I have to come back another time... I go on a rant, don't disrespect the guy but express my displeasure. I make an appointment. Come back. 1.5 hrs later I am told that the amp blew because of the sub. The sub must have had distortion. Okay.... well, I'm then given the option of buying another sub. 1200 watt sub I had blew from being powered by a 700 watt multi channel amp due to distortion, yet I never touched amp settings, wires, nothing. I refuse to buy another sub from them, express myself again without disrespecting anyone in particular, and I am told by Shaun that he "almost replaced the sub but didn't because of how I acted in the shop earlier that week." So a customer is pissed about the nonsense, expresses himself, so now when I have paid my money you won't take care of the problem? The sub is under warranty! You tried to make me buy a new amp and then a new sub! Really shady business practices. Now I have to try and get a replacement myself and once I try to hook it up myself I void the existing warranty from the manufacturer. So the products Radioactive pushed (I chose the pioneer, they pushed Skar) didn't last 7 months. With all the time I wasted going back and forth plus now needing a new sub and the resulting voiding of my warranty, this was not worth any savings. Shaun could have made it right, just like he said. Instead he turned a patient customer into a pissed off previous customer who now will make sure people know the kind of business he runs. read more

I brought in a head unit I had ordered online and knew I was going to need new speakers. It was nearly an entire gut/replace job on a 24 year old car. I was a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon and they took me with less than two hours until they closed. The prices were very reasonable. For under $300 I got 4 decent sounding speakers and the head unit I wanted installed and sounding as great as I could have hoped for knowing the head unit I brought in wasn't made to be a powerhouse. There was no damage from slippery screw drivers or from the hand of a tech that wanted to leave on time, either. I was so relieved. The owner of the joint really, really understands customer service and stereos. His professionalism with making sure my car wasn't damaged and that the tech installing the equipment understood why my car had to be handled a certain way was mind boggling. I've never received service on that level regarding my vehicle. It was a treat indeed. I should mention that while I was in the waiting room, they had two other parties waiting on their installs to wrap up and they couldn't say enough good things about them. These guys are great...I was having trouble install a OEM radio and I could not get it to work. After several days I decided to take it to Radioactive and let the experts install it. After looking at my radio they told me the company I bought the radio from had sent me the wrong wiring harness. Sure enough I had the wrong harness. Had a gauge installed here. Paid around 100 for the install, which was a good price. But, after the install, my SatNav controls stopped working, my right window no longer rolls down, i have a huge ding in my dash, and a huge crack in my stock stereo face. Tried to call back and get help, left multiple messages and got no response. Every time I come by the shop to get help his car is sitting out front and he will just hide in the back until I leave. first visit, let them install radio in car, they told me couple hours, too 9, i had to go get car and install last speakers myself the next day. also scratched the car. second car, simple radio install. they broke the center console bezel, scratched it all to hell. i had to get on ebay to get a replacement. told me they would also retint 2 front windows and booked time. they kept all day and didnt even get windows tinted by end of day. i really dont see how they are in business. i would recommend looking somewhere else. i wished i had. read more
