Maybe I should have done a double patty for the burger, since it is a smashed patty and a little too thin for my liking. I felt like I was eating a dry burger bun with mostly lettuce, and occasional pickle and the Mack sauce. I probably will not order the garlic aioli again, it had a sweeter and nutty flavor to it, and I prefer more of a savory aioli. I used to order their Blackened salmon with a side of greens and Spanish rice in their BBQ Ranch flavor style, from their old menu. I do miss that meal, it was so flavorful and delicious with the crispy onions to top everything off. But I understand that they made the change to better suit the business and cut back on waste. I probably would not order the big Mack burger again. But I will definitely be back to try something else from the new menu. I've been a customer for over 6 years, and have introduced some of my family members and friends to this restaurant, and we've enjoyed our meals here for that time. Located in Bound Brook on Talmage Rd, you can usually catch a live band playing on Friday or Saturday night. The restaurant is run by a woman named Julie and she and her staff do a great job of making everyone feel welcomed. They are very attentive and courteous to all patrons. Since it is a small place I suggest reserving a table. During the summer months the bands can play outside on their patio. If you happen to be there on The 4th of July everyone goes outside and can see the local fireworks right from the patio. The Westbrook does have a parking lot but it's not that big and can get full so you'll have to park on the street. This place seems to be getting better and better. The Westbrook is a diamond in the rough.
