I really wanted to like this place. I pass it several times a week on the Pinellas Trail and I love Vietnamese food, especially fresh rolls, Pho and Bun (meat with vermicelli dish). Unfortunately, I cannot say anything positive about the taste, quality or presentation or the food here! WORST Vietnamese food I have ever eaten! Can they even call it Vietnamese food? I was surprised to see some bad reviews here. I was at the day spa next door and meandered over while my husband was getting a massage. I had the half order of cold noodles with chicken and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh, spicy and very flavorful. Great prices. The spring roll that was included was perfection. I am OBSESSED with Pho and figured I would go try a different place, because it was closer to my house. It was pretty good, not your typical pho in my opinion. There wasn't much broth and the beef was already cooked and really thick. It had a sweet taste to it (like they slow cooked it in a sweet and spicy sauce) which changed the whole taste of the pho. I think they are trying to put a flair on original pho, but they didn't say that so we were expecting different. Some of the other items on the menu looked really good so we will go back and try other items. The staff was really great and super friendly. Being in Dunedin is great too! read more

The pho is unlike anything I have ever had in a Vietnamese restaurant. The broth tastes like sour bbq sauce. No fresh herbs, no richness. Pickled daikon was a strange addition. The "pork belly" was more like pork shoulder. The "short ribs " more like brisket. The spring rolls were ok. They would have been great if they were a little fresher. Bahn mi was almost good, the pickled jalapeños kind of ruin it. I would have given it 1 star except I really like the idea of pho restaurant in Dunedin. Hopefully they change there recipes and figure a things out because I don't like driving to Clearwater or pinellas park for pho. read more

Came here for a quick bite while strolling through Dunedin. Ordered the fresh roll with shrimp, absolutely delicious. Peanut sauce that comes with it is very good! Fresh ingredients, you can't beat it. My mom ordered the rice bowl with shrimp, it came With a fried egg roll which was ok, could have used an extra sauce. Rice was cooked to perfection and sauce that came with it was good. Would highly recommend for a quick affordable bite to eat! We will be coming back! read more

The food here is fantastic. I'm not too sure about whether it's traditional or not, but what's important is it tastes phenomenal. Everyone is so sweet. Super dog friendly and there are fans and shade so sitting outside isn't even bad. I had the short rib banh mi and it was so great that I almost walked back to grab another one. This place is awesome! We just found it today and had our big dog with us. They are dog friendly! They have a covered patio to eat on and dog treats. The pho broth is delicious. I asked them to made it a little spicy and it was fantastic. You get to pick your meat or tofu. They have veggie broth for vegetarians and veggie spring rolls too! They came out and asked if our dog would like to take home a marrow bone because they use them to make their broth. They always have them so just ask! read more

I had the Pho soup which I feel wasn't really Vietnamese , it had no flavor and a lot of noodles, though it did have ample amount of meat. Luckily they had some seasoning items on the side otherwise it would have been bland bland bland. I just felt for ten dollars I got a bowl of noodles which was a waste of money I guess I should have gotten the smaller portion to try first. I ate about half of it and let the rest, not worth taking home . It also took at least 20 minutes to get our food which I was not prepared for. So I finally realized that they make one order at a time so when they get busy I don't know what they are going to do. There was only another couple ahead of us so if they were busy the wait would be crazy. And am I the only one who noticed the very very cheap spoon/fork I could barely use it to eat . I doubt that I will go back, for the price I will go elsewhere. I did not try any other items but at this point probably not worth the money. I am glad some people liked it but I just wanted to let people have a heads up so they can make an informed decision. So start out with the smaller portion and see if u like it. read more

My husband and I had dinner at this place today and we were looking forward to having pho again after a while not having it. The lady that took our order was very nice so no complaint there at all. Our food took a long time though, like 20 mins considering we were the only customers there waiting for food. I didn't wanna let that bother me because I was hungry and excited for the pho. Once the pho arrived, everything was in it, all the additions and veggies which isn't common. Also there wasn't much of a broth at all. The broth was very clear too, I tasted it and it was sooooo bland. :( We tried adding some sauces like soy sauce, hoisin sauce and sriracha which helped a little but not much. A good pho broth is supposed to be cooked for hours and have the darker color once its mixed with the meat and all, not white like water and bland. Very disappointed!!! :( there also wasn't any bean sprouts which is very disappointing. Sad thing to see a cute place not offer good quality food, we just won't be coming back and not telling our friends and family either about it. Since we love Vietnamese fresh rolls, we ordered 2 of those (since a single order gives you only one roll for $2.25), and 2 Vegetarian rice vermicelli and tofu dishes - Bun. The girl asked me if I wanted a full size of half size orders, and after showing me the ceramic serving bowls for size, I agreed to two full size orders. She asked me to repeat my order and then read it back to me. I stated back that it was correct, and I requested extra basil and cilantro on the Bun vermicelli dishes. She entered it all in the computer, and I handed over my credit card for payment. We gleefully parked our bikes, unleashed our furry babies to join us at the outdoor seating, and hungrily waited for our food. After 15 minutes the girl who took the order brought out the fresh-rolls, but unfortunately we both noticed that they should have been named as Not-So-Fresh rolls! After ordering hundreds of these in other Vietnamese restaurants through the US, we were rather surprised to see that they arrived noticeably loose and were held together by a Saran Wrap! The lettuce was brownish and certainly not fresh, and when we tried to remove the stuck wrap from the poorly wrapped rolls, they just fell apart. ( Of note, fresh rolls, are rolled in presoaked rice paper, and are supposed to be tightly rolled, and are designed to be eaten as finger food, like egg rolls, and they are never wrapped in Saran Wrap to be held together). Typically, my favorite part, is the traditional peanut hoisin sauce which was replaced with a mysterious goo which lacked the texture, consistency, flavor, or any crushed peanuts, & resembled a smooth gelatinous glue like texture, with faint peanut like flavor. We were hungry and disappointed, but still hopeful and optimistic for our next dish. However, that too fizzled in minutes after we saw our Bun dish which unlike what they showed us at the time of order, arrived in a half size (not a traditional full size as served at any other Vietnamese place, and was delivered in plastic plate rather the ceramic bowl that we noticed at the other tables. We were puzzled to say the least, and immediately noticed the pile of raw tofu, which was cold, uncooked, and lacked any flavor - and as vegetarians we eat tofu regularly and certainly know how to prepare it. The vermicelli was undercooked, the dish did not come with the extra greens I requested, or the traditional Mung beans, and the fish sauce was the worst we've ever tasted! To add insult to our injured expectations, and pallets, (or maybe it was a blessing), only one of orders came out. When the girl noticed our surprised look, she stated that she was aware that we ordered two, but they made only one dish because she erroneously charged us for one! Then she proceeded to add that if we want the other one, we needed to go upfront and pay for the other. After seeing what was in front of us, and her attitude, we decided to pass. Another girl came out a minute later and said that she was the cook, and prepared this plate and already put the invisible greenery on the bottom. We tried to mention to her we were unhappy since the fresh rolls, were visibly stale, and the tofu is supposed to be cooked, and the size of the order was not what was shown to us at the window, and I didn't see any of the greens. Angrily and with a visible attitude she hastily walked away from our table. My husband took the first bite, and spat it out. Our dogs were looking puzzled but with anticipation. We carefully took the tofu off the top and gave it to them, astutely they turned their noses in the opposite direction. We were disappointed, frustrated, and still hungry. The cook, came back with a bottle of beer, handed it to my husband and said that she hopes it will make it better for him! We decided to toss the food in the garbage and leave. As we were leaving we turned to take a picture of the place. As the cook noticed our actions, she came running towards us trying to "discuss" the situation telling us that the establishment is owned by a "white" guy so it is his spin on Vietnamese food, and that it is not a restaurant but rather trail food! Any suggestion I tried to make in order to improve any possible future experiences, or mitigate the damage, were a complete exercise in futility, and were met with a barrage of arguments and justifications, in order to stop me from writing a review. My husband told her that it was by far the WORST Vietnamese food (or a version of one) we've ever had, but even worse was her rude and obnoxious attitude! If "Trail Food" means, stale, uncooked, flavorless, sub-standard pile of ...ingredients thrown together hastily, in 50sf kitchen, in order to be wrapped in a Seran Wrap, because it falls apart, while charging premium for the convenience on the trail, my suggestion to you, is keep on riding, or otherwise you'll be having the runs for days!
