Stopped by the Dunedin Downtown Market on a Friday morning right when it opened just to check it out. It's a small outdoor market held Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Dunedin. Since I arrived right at opening, it was pretty quiet, which made it nice to walk around and browse the vendors. The market itself is on the smaller side, but it has a really charming feel and fits perfectly with Dunedin's quaint, walkable small-town vibe. The community atmosphere felt very friendly, and there were a variety of vendors selling food, local goods, and other items. I only had time for a quick visit this time but still ended up picking up a few things. Next time I plan to stay longer, try some of the food vendors, and explore more of the booths. I'll definitely be back and will update my review after a longer visit. read more

This is a perfect place to visit since there are so many things to see and do here. Located in the city of Dunedin which was incorporated in 1899, it is known as the sister city of Edinburgh, Scotland. This is evident by the huge Highland Games and Festival held in nearby Highlander Park every April which hosts hundreds of guests. There are so many restaurants, breweries, gift shops, art galleries and museums that you will definitely find something that interests you. It's a fun place to visit during the day and at night. I highly suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes. It's a close walk to the marina and St Joseph's Sound as well and It's gorgeous views. Some of the more popular gift shops are Tipsy Mermaids, Our House and Spoiled Rotten. Among some of the best restaurants are Crown&Bull, Seariders Restaurant and my personal favorite since I got married there, Bon Appetit which is located right on the water with beautiful views. If you're looking for some delicious desserts look no further than Kookie Krums, Strachan's Ice Cream and desserts or Ice&Cream Creamery. If you are a Beatles fan you will find the Penny Lane Beatles Museum here. Downtown Dunedin is also the home to many arts and crafts festivals held throughout the year. Parking can be found in the Monroe Street parking garage. There are also many nice hotels nearby in case you're interested in spending some time there. Beaches are super close and easy accessible. read more

There's nothing better than a quaint farmers market in a cute downtown where you can walk around on a weekend morning in the sunshine and check out some really cute and creative local vendors. And this is exactly what you'll get at the Dunedin Downtown Market. Downtown Dunedin is just so cute and nice, if you've ever been you know this to be true. The market they host is small, but there's probably a couple dozen vendors with an impressive variety of offerings given the small size. They had live music going when we went as well, and a few food trucks if you wanted a bite to eat while walking around too. And extremely dog friendly, there were a million adorable puppets enjoying the market and being outdoors as much as the humans. read more

I went and visited the market with my friend and we loved it!! Everyone was so friendly and the live music really added to the atmosphere. I got to try some delicious sour dough and there were tons of trucks and stands selling food! Definitely a fun market to plan your day around as the town has so much as well!! read more

Thrilled to be here for the local farmers market. Want to avoid all the prepared foods & baked goods & get farm fresh produce & potted herbs. Instead, we enjoyed lots of samples and bought some exotic homemade banana breads. Unfortunately, I was afraid the foods we liked would go bad before we'd have time to enjoy them, so we left a lot behind. The produce, cupcakes, flowers, cheeses, honey, dips, fish, pralines ... were delicious. We met some of the most beautiful & well behaved dogs here. read more

Nice little market to get some time outside and take in the FL air. There were plenty of booths to spark interest and food choices to satisfy any cravings from lobster rolls to ice cream. Got a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables to include some corn to put on the grill. Everyone was happy to be outside including the pups who seem to relish all of the attention. You can easily find yourself going from table to table snacking and realize that you ate too much while trying to force your seatbelt over your newly expanded stomach. First time here and loved the little market that had many booths full of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, sauces, local honey, and even kettle corn. There were also several food booths and a handful of picnic tables to sit, relax, & eat. In addition to edibles, there were booths that had handcrafted jewelry, totes/purses, pet items, plants, and other items. This is a nice little market to go to on Saturday mornings. There is one produce vendor who has been here for several seasons. They are great, and have reasonable prices but in years past there was another produce vendor as well. Nice to have some variety as they didn't always have the same things. In addition to the produce, there are a lot of other specialty food vendors as well as places to get lunch and people with other products (art, jewelry etc.) I have had food from the empanada stand, the Thai stand and the bread stand. All were very good but the Thai stand is my favorite. I am not sure if they are there all the time. They usually have some type of live entertainment on the stage too, which is nice. Parking in the area is usually not bad as there are public lots around and street parking. The parking used to be free, but I am not sure if it is anymore. I saw pay stations down the street when I recently went downtown for something else. The market is a nice way to spend a morning or early afternoon. read more

This lovely, little arts & crafts slash gourmet food market is a seasonal event every Saturday morning in Dunedin, FL. (Nov-May.) We arrived around 9.30am and were charmed with what we saw especially the sea-pebbled window art. Figured though, I'd need to display it in a beach house to do it justice, so I bought some artisanal cheeses and honey instead. There's a nice shady area with benches where my husband and I shared a crepe and cinnamon roll from the food trucks. As markets go it's small, but the tranquil setting and friendly folk make it a 5 star experience. Downtown Dunedin is very walkable and it's definitely worth taking a diversionary stroll along Main Street to the harbor. We also side tracked down the bike path and to the Museum on the way back. Yup, if the opportunity ever arises, I know where I'm buying that beach house. read more

Dunedin Downtown market is held on Fridays and Saturdays at Pioneer Park. On my recent visit on a Friday the market was bustling with people and vendors. Lots of fresh produce, plants, crafts and creations were featured by local merchants. I enjoyed seeing Dancing Cats there--check out their great concoctions! 20 Shekles is also always a delight to see. I also very much enjoyed some "Patty's Peppers" Hungarian-style prepared jarred peppers based off of a local's family recipe. There are several food vendors like Le Petite France, a smoothie truck, a Popsicle vendor, Maine-iacs, and this really outstanding Jamaican vegan food vendor (very outstanding). This past Friday there was live music being performed which was nice. There are a good amount of tables and seating options available which is awesome and allows you to take a rest while you enjoy your food bounty. I enjoy that the market is very dog friendly, with a few vendors providing water bowls for the pups. I love the concept of an open air market such as this one. I feel that the market had a great set up on Pioneer park and an excellent vibe. I look forward to returning in the future. On par with most local markets that cities and towns hold. Huge selection of fresh fruits and veggies, local eggs and whole chickens, artisan breads, olive oils and so much more. Cee Bee's Citrus was also on site selling blueberries and their famous OJ, so you know I had to get me some of that! There were 4 or 5 food trucks, and a Jamaican dude selling jerk vegan grub that looked and smelled fantastic. Today happened to also coincide with Salvage Saturday up the street at Waterside Furnishings, so it was like a buyer's double-feature. read more

This is actually for the "old Fashioned Christmas" I had wanted to go shopping in Dunedin, but when I arrived I noticed that there were cars EVERYWHERE. Oh NO.. Something was going on. When we started walking down the street.. well what do you know, there's a parade going on! I stood there and watched a good 50 floats/groups going by, and that was just up to #73, with more to come. It was staring to get cold so I wandered away, but I can tell you that they were planing on having an excellent event with snow and vendors, it looked like it was going to be a heck of a time. read more

Love this market! The convenience of being open on both Fridays and Saturdays is great, and I enjoy the variety of vendors. I love the cheese booth & always get a nice wedge of Brie from them each time I'm at the market. The large produce booth is cash only, but reasonably priced, often locally sourced, & has great variety for fruits and veggies. There's also a baked goods tent that sells delicious cinnamon rolls & wonderful bread, and a Thai booth with the perfect flavors for something grab-and-go as you check out the rest of the market. Other vendors include a beeswax wrap seller, soaps and lotions, a spice tent, another produce tent, some art booths, and a few food trucks. Some people are there both days & some people only are there one or the other, so chat up each vendor when you see them, especially if you enjoy what they're selling. Location is great too; you can easily walk to the other downtown shops and restaurants and there'a ample free parking all around Dunedin too. read more

CAUTION, CAUTION, CAUTION... I visited this market with my sister. The market itself is wonderful. However, the woman who runs the smoothie food truck is dishonest and not to be trusted. My sister and I ordered 2 large smoothies, @$10. I gave my sister a $50 bill to pay the $20 owed. I went to the restroom. When I returned my sister was quite upset. The owner took the $50, gave her the smoothies and no change. When my sister asked for $30 change she said she only gave her a $20. When I approached I noticed the proprietor peeking out to see if my sister was gone. When I approached and requested the change she came out and started shouting "Your calling me a liar and a thief". She was very unprofessional and seemed a bit high. Rather than arguing anymore we wished her good karma and left. I'd like to add the smoothies tasted like wash water. I will return to capture a picture of the dishonest vendor and her products. BEWARE of the Dishonest Vendor. She seems to have this down to a science. read more

From Thai to tacos to breads and fresh been honey this is a great little market that showcases some of the areas small businesses. They are only open Friday and Saturday until the end of May so only a week left until after the summer heat leaves (like that actually happens) They have two very good size produce vendors that you can purchase items they grow and also items they procure. If you are a tomato lover here you will find some of the best in the state. Sick of buying watermelon from your grocer to cut it open and it is at most a dark pink color? Here you can get the juiciest reddest watermelon. Like any farmers market it is what is in season. For non food items they have soap and oil vendors. Local artist with paintings and bottle sculptures. For food on the run they have a taco truck. A seafood vendor that usually has a shrimp and a grouper e tree available with smoked fish to purchase. They have Thai and true vegan Rastafarian along with smoothies and coffee drinks. You can buy fresh eggs here but they do sell out! This is a great walk through event if you are near downtown. There is always parking available in one of the overflow lots just a block or two away. read more

Super cute, mostly in the shade market in downtown Dunedin. I would say medium size in comparison to some others. You will find typical booths like The Cheese Lodge, Green Smoothies, Fresh Produce, Local Honey and more. My daughter even got a henna tattoo. We really enjoyed this local market right off of the Pinellas trail, take a trip to Dunedin it is well worth it. read more

The hours are weird. They never update their website about when they'll be closed. We've tried going twice now, and both times closed. I've been to this market before and it's great, just wish they would do more promotion about when they're open! read more

I love the Dunedin market. It certainly has gone thru several changes in the last few years. I love being able to get fresh bread, veggies, and other treats while in downtown and being able to support small businesses. There is always great vendors with many different things. You have some vendors that have been there since the beginning and then there is new ones every year as well. I usually go to the Friday market as my favorite vendor La Petit France is there and has the most amazing savory crepes. These are so big that they are usually both my breakfast and lunch for the day. I do wish they would open sooner but they are open Nov-June on Friday and Saturday. read more

Cool little market. Fun way to spend a Saturday morning roaming around. There's a wide variety of items to be found from produce to crafts and fresh bites to munch on while you peruse each booth. For me this is a better alternative than going to the larger market in DTSP since I live around the corner from this one. Sadly I don't go as much as I'd like because most of the time the heat is just too much. Bring a cold beverage and a hat to combat the blazing Florida sun so you can stay a bit longer and enjoy yourself. read more

One of the best weekend markets I have been too. They have a very impressive setup around a square with a HUGE number of vendors selling everything from fruit and vegetables to decorative items and a whole lot more. It was packed when we went but it was a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend it when in the area. At the back end of the square was a stage with love music which made the experience that much more enjoyable. read more
