I was in Allentown visiting on Valentine's Day. My sweet husband wanted to send me a bodacious, impressive bouquet. He called Phoebe directly and worked with someone to get the colors he wanted and describe his vision. He said the woman helping him was very nice and helpful. I sent him a photo when the flowers arrived. They were very pretty, but he felt they were not at all what he ordered based on the price he'd paid. In addition, he ordered 12 truffles and only a box of six arrived. He called Phoebe and they were extremely apologetic. They promised a new bouquet would be delivered the next day, along with more truffles. The new bouquet was smaller but pretty. Having said that, we are still disappointed that the bodacious, beautiful bouquet that he ordered did not arrive on Valentine's Day. He paid extra for the "wow" factor and did not get it. Only four red roses came with the initial bouquet. It was large, but mostly greens. A box of twelve truffles would have had more unique flavors, so even that is disappointing. The initial bouquet barely lasted six days. Also disappointing. Good thing I could send him a picture, otherwise he would have never known he did not get what he paid for. You could get what they sent at a grocery store for a fraction of the price. While Phoebe tried to compensate and they were professional on the phone, we are both disappointed and unhappy with the size and quality of the arrangement. If you pay for something, you should get what you paid for; they should have sent a full box of twelve truffles to make up for their mistake. read more

The quality of the arrangements have gone downhill. My boyfriend was a long time costumer for years and the past year they've done nothing but disappoint. The pictures online are misleading. I ordered a Valentine arrangement in person and was told they do not have pictures of what they offer?? Seemed odd but I proceeded in good faith trusting they would get it right. I went with a dozen roses and some other flowers and greens to make a $120+ arrangement. When it was brought out upon pick up it had 6 roses and the pussy willow was the star of the show. They threw in another 6 roses but it looked like a middle school kid made it. Zero signs of artistic ability, creativity or skill to speak of. The woman who assisted us told us price range for dish garden plant is from $50 to $60 and showed us one plant, instead of showing us what a $60 plant looks like vs what a $50 plant looks like so we have idea what it will look like when it arrives at the home of a friend who lost husband. We used phoebe floral for the flowers for our wedding. We had two consultations with Anita and she was amazing. She is super knowledgeable and has a lot of great ideas. Our wedding theme was unique and not common but she was right onboard. She came to the consultations with sample flowers and literally went through every flower arrangement with me. Anita was thoughtful of our budget and had several suggestions on how we could save money. I provided my own containers and candles. She had everything set up beautifully, just as I had imagined. Their pricing was in the middle of the three florists that I interviewed. Had a dozen red roses sent to my son's (who is in Marines boot camp) girl friend for her birthday, because he couldn't be here to celebrate it with her. Not very professional at all as far as the arrangement goes. It literally looks like someone just shoved 12 long stem roses in a short vase full of babies breath. The roses are several inches above everything else. Just doesn't look very nice at all. Add to that, I just found out they wrote Happy Nirthday on the card...are you serious?? They were able to make an absolutely beautiful arrangement that our friend ended up taking home. I had absolutely no idea what to do for "funeral flowers," only that I didn't want a spray. The woman I spoke with was kind and funny, not to mention patient as I rattled off twelve names and our total. Used Pheobe Floral Shop to get flowers for a funeral. My interaction with them was pretty limited but they did a great job. I was ordering a half casket spray but it was for a cremation so they knocked $50 off of the price and included a stand to display the flowers. In addition to flowers there's lots of other home decor, candles, small gifts and chotchkes. The florist I placed the order with was friendly and knowledgeable. They were out of a flower in the arrangement I ordered and made sure they got more in time. I only placed the order a day ahead of the service, so a job well done. read more

Since there's no option for zero stars, they get one. Unfortunately, they have what are usually outstanding products, sold by rude and condescending personnel. If one is not placing a large order (personal or commercial), or has any sort of request that may reside slightly outside the norm, one gets the feeling that you are being difficult or a problem customer. My daughter has her senior prom, and wanted to find blue flowers and select how they would be attached to her hair, we were told that 'flowers just don't grow that color except for delphiniums, so that won't work.' And since her boyfriend is handling the remainder of the flowers and we didn't want to order them today, we were told 'well, he won't know what you want, what colors to choose and he won't have any idea what he's doing.' Deplorable attitude. A stop at Wegmans was precisely the opposite, where it was suggested we check with the hairstylist what type of binding/mounting they would like, then Wegmans would do whatever was requested, would easily dye the flowers the precise shade that would work with her dress, and be significantly less expensive as well. Yesterday, our order placed through Teleflora, had the wrong address, so shipment was delayed. But the staff was very helpful in making things right. Ordered flowers for my 84 year old mother the other day and card was supposed to say "we love and miss you" and somehow was sent as "get well soon" which was horrible since my mother had recently been in the hospital and given a good health report, but then feared she did not know something once she got the flowers. Lame as it is one of the few services where you totally rely on the company to do there job since you can't see the flowers you are ordering and also do the simple part like getting the message correct. When I called the store the lady that I spoke to only offered to add to the next floral arrangement I get from there "wow so generous" and again I won't be using them in the future so congrats you don't have to do anything to correct your mistake.
