Went here for dinner on a whim because my boyfriend wanted to try authentic Vietnamese food. Did a few searches on yelp and found this place was only 15 minutes away. Staff was super friendly, we came here on a Friday night around 7 PM and were seated immediately. Our server brought over water and took our order right away. We both ordered a number 24 which was eye of round and flank steak pho for $9.99 each. Our noodle soup came out literally in under 5 minutes. The size was about average. A lot of noodles with some pieces of beef. My only disappointment was that the beef was overcooked. The menu said it would be served "rare" but our pieces were already cooked all the way through. However, the flavor of the broth was light and herbal. Noodles were al dente while still grasping the flavor of the broth. This was a bit more pricey for the amount of food considering we're in NJ with no other Vietnamese places around. The food is absolutely amazing!!! The Pho with grilled chicken is SO good (several meat options to select from) . I have tried the grilled shrimp and grilled chicken and both delicious. Also the Spicy Thai Fried Rice is sooo good. Make sure to tell them your spice level. The Pho is sooooo fresh and authentic tasting. Their basil taste like it was just picked from the garden. Perfect Pho!!! I landed on the number 28 and was very happy with the service as well. My water was never empty and our food came out in a timely manner. Pho Xinh is a tiny, hidden Vietnamese restaurant located in the middle of Centerton Square shopping center. During our meal we ate the Seafood Thai Fried Rice (53), Pho Tai Chin (25) and ordered the Ice Milk Coffee to-go. What I like best about this restaurant was it's homey atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and I believe that the manager was going around asking customers how their meals were and how they could improve. The food was more expensive than the Vietnamese restaurants I frequent in South Philadelphia and I believe Pho Xinh's prices have increased since the last time I was here. My wife and I decided to pay this spot a visit. Its tucked into its own spot in the Centerton complex. Its easy to miss, if you arent paying attention to the store fronts. This restaurant is clean and tidy. Its not excessively big, but it is cozy and there is adequate space between tables. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The restautant has an inviting feel to it. We both ordered the same items. Crispy springs rolls as our appetizers, they are packed with ground chicken and pork. Their spring rolls are very tasty! (4 per order). Our main course we both had the Pho Tai Chin. Their Pho Tai Chin was very good! The noodles were tender, the sliced brisket was very tender and the soup broth was very good too. The oyster sauce gave the broth a sweet after taste. We also both had sweet tea. The restaurant fills up with patrons around 5:30pm on Saturdays. I used to live closer to this area years ago, and had dined here half a dozen times in the past. Judging from past stops, Pho 9 is easily capable of four stars. However, on this visit, the spicy pho that I ordered offered a generous portion of meat (unusually tender for Pho - yay!) and ample portion of bean sprouts, basil, and sliced jalapeno peppers to add in, but the noodles were overcooked. IMHO, jalapenos would be more appealing and integrate into the broth if sliced thinner. Current width of the pepper coins must be at least 1/4 inch wide. read more

This restaurant is in a strip mall near the Moorestown Mall and the new Virtua Medical Center. It's very attractive and pleasant inside. The food was good with many choices on the menu and the waiters were very nice and attentive. We had the Crispy Spring Rolls, which have chicken and pork, and Crispy Fried Tofu, both came on beds of lettuce, tomatoes, and carrot strings which tasted sweet and vinegary. We also shared a huge bowl of Pho Ca Vien, a rice noodle soup with fish balls. Ours came out first with a plate of bean spouts, sliced green hot peppers, and sprigs of what I'm guessing was lemon grass. Then the broth was introduced. We had already filled our bowls, but were told the proper way is to fill the bowl with broth, then the condiments. We were also urged to dip our fish balls in hoisin and soy sauce as we ate. For entrees, we both had an assorted vegetable platter, with a choice of chicken, seafood, tofu, beef, or shrimp. We went for chicken and seafood each. The dish comes with a side of sticky Jasmine rice. The dishes were more soupy than actual stir fry. Our meal came to $60 for two with plenty left over for a meal, a cup of soup, and another egg roll. This establishment doesn't serve alcohol. No hot tea was offered, as one might expect of an Asian restaurant. We were offered water, which was actually pretty good for what I'm guessing was plain tap water. They offer a variety of soft drinks and sweet tea. We opted for the water. Very enjoyable meal. We came here on Sunday while we were on our way to PA, we got in this restaurant around 1PM and it was surprisingly empty. The waiters and host were sitting inside and were goofing around while we walked in, a little bit unprofessional IMO, and I found the service was cold. The waiters didn't have any smile the entire time. I took off 1 star because of this reason. The PHO and summer rolls I ordered were all very good. Food is very authentic and full of flavor, I had no complaint about food at all and enjoyed them very much! My mother in law thought the broth of pho could be served a bit hotter, but I didn't think that was a problem for me. If you like your broth really hot, you might want to inform your waiter while ordering. Giving consideration for the location, it's a tinge closer to a 4 star restaurant. Centerton Square is full of recognizable chain restaurants that we all enjoy but it's nice to find a restaurant that gives you something a bit different from the well known. But Vietnamese food is pretty well known and it never hurts to have one nearby! Pho Xinh does exactly what I would want it to do: give me my fix for Vietnamese while I'm nearby at work. They're pretty quick with service and attentive enough for my taste. They served me tea as soon as I sat down and gave me their paper menu. I typically go for pho or bun (vermicelli bowl/plate) at a Vietnamese restaurant but I've had enough great pho (darn it Pho 75 in South Philly!!) that I've become a bit picky about where I go. Vermicelli is hard to get wrong and I can get my grilled meats that way. They assemble their bun/vermicelli a bit different here. Instead of it stacked in a bowl, it's all laid out quite beautifully on a larger plate. I do think I get a bit less than some of the other places that I go but they're generous with their fish sauce and I was a happy camper following my meal. It's a bit pricey for what it is but, again, considering location and everything, it's not bad. I'd probably pay something similar at b. good, Chipotle, or Panera and not be nearly as happy. The rest of the menu looks quite good. They have your pho, vermicelli, fried rice, and stir fry plates. Also your favorite spring/summer rolls and even chicken skewers to start. They also can make smoothies or bubble tea if you so wish. One of the weird things is, they don't accept tip in credit card, must be in cash. Was noted on every table so just something to keep in mind. Overall, solid choice if you don't want the typical chain food fare around here but not the most authentic and best tasting Vietnamese I've had. read more

I ordered for pick up for my coworker and I would say it was a good experience! The gentleman on the phone was nice and made sure to remind me that this location was the one in Mount Laurel by the Costco and not the location in Cherry Hill, so that was a helpful reminder. When I arrived, the gentleman was very pleasant, quickly processed my payment, and reminded me to be careful walking out because of how the rain had made the sidewalks so slick. He also gave me a menu to bring back to my office since I mentioned I was picking up for my coworker and I. I ordered the #18 Hoanh Thanh Mi and I really enjoyed the wontons in the soup! My coworker ordered the #21 Pho Tom and the #42 Spicy Eggplant with Chicken. While the #42 could've had more eggplant, all of the dishes were very yummy! Then everything was completely rushed, and to the point our bill was in front of us before we had eaten half of our soup, and asked to pay before taking our last bite. The lights were being turned off, and the server continuously pacing by our table. SOOO UNCOMFORTABLE!!!! I love the food, but not this last experience! I really don't appreciate getting rushed. Furthermore, if you are a restaurant and want to limit what you serve, then adjust your menu! The last three times I came in, you gave me some excuse as too why you don't have the spring rolls. Funny, I can buy the ingredients at a local grocer, what's your excuse? Can you at least let your paying customers finish their dinner and offer them dessert etc before rushing them out!
