The food is always delicious and the place is always spotless clean the ambience is more of like a takeout because it's in a shopping plaza. It's not really dressy and fancy, but it's not super casual. They do a lot of takeout business which is good and it's always nice when my husband and I go and sit inside because it's never crowded but I'm sure they have their moments tonight. We went in for some pho and appetizers and it was pretty good. Our bill ended up around $64 before Tip. The service was excellent the places clean the young men are very vibrant and nice and at your back in Call and aiming to please every customer. We had some questions because my husband got the spicy beef foo, and it had a nice zing to it. The soup was very flavorful. I got the round medium rare and it was delicious. It had lots of flavor and lots of onions. Maybe next time I might ask them to go lighter on the onions, but really it was no problem to pick a couple of them out I put Thai basil in the soup and it had a really nice flavor. We always look forward to coming back and trying something new for appetizers. We did start with tempura shrimp once you get six pieces and they were pretty good. they have a little fancy sauce with them and we got the cheese wonton crab Rangoon's. That was delicious. I didn't even need the sauce and I got about 8 to 10 pieces of that and then the Vietnamese egg rolls we got four of them for $10.50. This place has been around forever and with good reason. I came with my family for dinner on a Monday night. Whilst the restaurant was empty, they were clearly swamped with delivery orders. We were seated immediately and the food came out really fast as well. I ordered the bun bo hue (spicy pho) and appreciated that they used the thicker noodles. The staff was very friendly and they were busy on aTuesday afternoon with both eat in and take our customers. We ordered two dishes, Pho and Vermicelli Noodles with Vietnamese, spring rolls, and grilled chicken. The Pho was very good with will developed flavors. The vermicelli was not the best I've had, but it was good. The other thing I liked about this place was they had some staple dishes from neighboring Thailand, such as Pad Thai and Satay. My food was served very quickly (although summer rolls and brisket pho don't take long to prepare) and was fresh and tasty. I plan to try something else next time I go. The location was super clean, service was very nice and helpful and everything we ordered was great, so we are planning on going back. We ordered the Chicken Pho and Pho with grilled pork on the side, both were delicious. We also tried the beef summer rolls, so good!! The spicy soup was definitely spicy. I tried the Jasmine bubble tea and it was so smooth and soft, loved it. Pho is one of my 4 basic food groups behind cheese and steak. This place has always been one of my favorites but I moved away and came back on business. Would it still impress? YES! The broth is just so good. Without being an expert, I'll say top 10% in the region. Seriously flavorful broth. Fresh herbs and veg were good. Would like to see a bit more variety there as other places have stepped up offering more things on the plate. Only real critique though is they need to add more meat. It had the tripe, tendon, and two types of beef. It was supposed to come with eye round, flank, brisket and meatballs. The beef tendon was so fresh and melted in your mouth. Only advice I would give is to serve with more limes and slice the onions thinner and focus more on the broth! *The broth is just okay, really plain and lacks the depth of flavor you can get at another pho spot. Not a fan of noodles stuck together in my soup so I had to split that up. Pork chop but was okay but husband said he prefers the more chargrilled taste and look which they didn't have. Pho Xinh was the 2nd place I've ever had pho (years ago) and it quickly became my favorite. I really love their vegetable pho as they use a great assortment of different vegetables (broccoli, mushrooms, baby corn, carrots) which I was not used to from the first Vietnamese restaurant I was used to. I stopped going because they started using plastic, disposable bowls and utensils due to Covid, which is understandable. Eating pho with a plastic spoon out of a plastic bowl just doesn't feel right. I tried Pho Xinh again after probably more than a year since my last visit. The gentleman seating and serving was very kind and professional and was very mindful of our order to confirm exactly what we wanted. I ordered pho with eye round steak and well done brisket. It came out hot and the broth was full of flavor. The brisket was tender and the jalapeños served with seemed fresh and spicy. They still serve their pho in plastic bowls with plastic spoons, unfortunately. It's not the end of the world but there are other Vietnamese restaurants in the area using regular bowls and utensils, which to me adds to the experience. All in all, the food was very good so no real complaints. I'll be back again eventually to see if they switch back to real bowls. What I used to really like about pho Xinh is that they serve their to go pho in plastic bowls so it's easy to eat. We used to order take out for lunch and the plastic bowls made it realistic to order in the office. Some Vietnamese restaurants ive experienced just give you the broth in a quart sized to go container and all of the ingredients in a styrofoam to go container. read more

Pleasantly surprised, in the best way possible! I often see this Vietnamese restaurant after leaving the Target shopping center, and decided to give it a try. First thing I noticed is that it was busy, which is a good sign because I know the food must be good! Grabbed a menu, took a seat and the service was exceptional. Ok, first thing, the Pho is good. The crispy spring rolls I had were good. The Thai tea I had was good. But, thats all it really is; a good place. Came here based on the very good reviews. Funny thing is; I live nearby, and go to the Costco here ALL the time, but I've passed this place up a hundred times. Its just another store in the endless parade of strip mall spots at Centerton Plaza. The first knock on Pho 9 is the entrance. It is PHONE BOOTH small. On our way out and way in, there were people trying to move in both directions, and it creates an unpleasant, "nuts to butt" scenario, where people are scootching by uncomfortably close. But, thats where they decided to put the register, so as you're trying to pay, people are trying to get in, and out, and its literally 6 square feet of play room. After our close quarters encounter, everything else rolled pretty smoothly. Food came out incredibly fast, and everything was tasty. One issue that I have is that at my usual Pho spots in Philly, you have two size choices: small and large. Or as is more appropriate: crazy large, or ridiculously large. At Pho Nam, a small is served in a damn mop bucket. Its an INSANE amount of Pho. At Pho 9, the Pho is one size, and that one size was smaller than a small at other places. Same price though. It still came with fresh Thai basil and bean sprouts, and the broth was spot on, but, its less than what I'm used to. Two pho's, an order of crispy spring rolls, and a thai tea ran us $37. Not insane. I would've just liked a larger serving. The building itself is nice. Very orange, but clean and spacious for a strip mall restaurant.
