Was there for an event Saturday night. Did not get a chance to take pictures of the food. Yes, it was so good that I completely forgot to take pictures LOL Food - Bo Luc Lac was really good. The beef was so tender and flavorful. I highly recommend trying this dish. The salted fish fried rice was AMAZING. I even complimented the chef when I saw him. It was probably one of the best salted fish fried rice I ever had. Service - service was great. From the owners to the waitress. They were all so attentive and helpful. I'll get right to it: a complaint! There were waaaaaay too many rice noodles in my pho, despite my request they go light. I ordered a large bowl with the intent of bringing most home for tomorrow. What I got was a little bit of broth and a ton of noodles. The chicken broth is flavorful, but sorry folks, I won't order pho here again. Having inauthentic banh mi elsewhere, I asked the chef if he uses daikon, carrots, cilantro etc. He assured me he does. And the sandwich was great; would've been five stars if there was a bit more pork. My husband ordered grilled pork com. There are several variations on the menu, and he was pleased. I feel the need to share my experience, even though I don't usually write reviews. Unfortunately, the service here was extremely disappointing. I dine out often and really enjoy the full sit-down restaurant experience. When I walked in, I stood by the door for about five minutes while employees clearly saw me but continued doing whatever they were doing. No one asked if I was picking up an order or dining in. Not a huge deal--I eventually sat myself. Once seated, I waited another 10 minutes without anyone offering a menu, water, or even acknowledging me. When a server finally brought a menu, I explained that I was on a tight schedule and already knew what I wanted. She responded with a dirty look and said I would still have to wait 20 minutes for the food. I told her that was fine, although if I hadn't already waited so long just to be acknowledged, I likely would've been eating by then. While waiting for my food, I was never offered water or asked what I wanted to drink--nothing at all. The food itself was okay, but nothing special. I would 100% recommend Viet Kitchen in Fort Myers over this place. What really stood out was the difference in how I was treated compared to other customers. The same server was polite and friendly with everyone else, but when I went to pay, she barely acknowledged me and quietly muttered "thank you" as I was leaving. Despite all of this, I still left a 20% tip. That said, I would never return and would advise others to be cautious. There were four - great tasting rolls to share beginning our culinary journey. Unfortunately the Ambience is like a Chinese carry out. A bit noisy, its absence of music and softer lighting lends one to wear sunglasses especially at night. However, you can easily read the menu and with Amy's superlative translation of the menu's cryptic basics, you can get a great hot dinner. The benches are stiff but clientele seem to pick them over the too small 4-seat tables. My thick seafood soup was very flavorful which I spiked with jalapeño slices from Judy's pho. In addition to the seafood it had sliced beef strips along with veggies & an abundance of rice noodles. 5 -stars Banh Canh Tom Cua. My main negative are the paper napkins. What a great little find located in the corner of a strip mall on Del Prado! We walked in about 6:30 to a spotless, sparkling restaurant. We were seated immediately and our waitress was so Knowledgeable about the menu, when I told her that I didn't know what to order. Matthew had a small Pho with Beef that was loaded with fresh veggies, basil and lots of rice noodles. Dave and I had similar dishes except for the noodles. His were toasted and crunchy and mine were more like lo mein. Both were loaded with bok choy, beef, pork, shrimp, chicken, and carrots. The sauce looked like soy but wasn't salty at all and very flavorful. We also the the summer roll with pork and it was served with a delicious peanut sauce for dipping. My dad ordered the wings with fish sauce. Yes you read correctly..fish sauce. This mainly adds a crisp sweetness to the wings. And so the wings were decent. We had a okay to good lunch here today. We brought a friend who had never had Vietnamese food before. We started with a shrimp fresh roll. We all liked this one, although there wasn't much shrimp in it. The peanut dipping sauce made the roll. My husband had a roast pork banh mi sandwich. The bread was a bit disappointing for him. He said it really wasn't like the French bread that he usually gets with this sandwich -- and the one he likes. So he said it was "just okay". He added some hoisin sauce to give it a bit of flavor. My friend and I each had their traditional noodles dishes (bun thit nuobg?) with meat. I had their grilled pork and she had the grilled chicken. As she didn't care for the fish sauce, she substituted peanut sauce instead. The dish was okay. The pork was nicely grilled but had no flavor. I prefer to eat the dish in two parts. I like the meat and noodles together. Then I add the fish sauce to the "salad" part -- like a salad dressing. Otherwise, the noodles can get soggy. Now she can say she tried Vietnamese food, at least. And we will keep looking for other restaurants in the area to enjoy one of our favorite cuisines. read more

We came around lunchtime during a weekday for the first time after seeing how clean and neat this authentic Vietnamese place was online. We were greeted by a quick and attentive waitress. She was very friendly, but I would recommend clarifying your order multiple times so they don't bring out the wrong thing. I asked her 2 times to make sure the meat came out on the side and "rare" as is custom for a pho "tai." They serve you cucumber infused water so if you don't like cucumbers, ask for regular water. 2. Spring rolls were ordered and it says 3 pcs along with 2 pcs on the description; however, spring rolls come with 3 pcs. They were out of grilled beef summer rolls so grilled chicken summer rolls were ordered but was heavy on the mint so that's all you can taste. The appetizers came out after the pho was served. 3. My sister doesn't eat that much so having only 1 size of pho was a waste of food; I wish they had small, medium, large sizes. $15 for pho is pretty expensive so I don't know if it's worth it when there are plenty of pho places with better prices and sizes. Really good pho and more Vietnamese dishes in a clean, comfy setting. All of the wait staff were very nice and suggested banh cuon, a traditional Vietnamese rice paper dish with Vietnamese ham. We also sampled the pho, vermicelli bowls, and fried rice, all of which were excellent. Fried egg rolls came out steaming hot and crispy. The only downside to the experience was payment: you pay on an IPad and the wait staff watches while you select tip. Kind of makes the experience awkward. I also wish they would put the noodles separate, as when reheating pho at home the noodles can disintegrate and ruin the broth for leftovers. Unfortunately, my wife and daughter have not even a fraction of my level of trend-proofing and so they have both in recent years become enamored with K-pop, Korea, and, by proxy, other non-China/Japan adjacent Asian cultures. As part of my wife's birthday I decided on taking us out for pho and while I am a great appreciator of Japanese and Chinese food, I am inexperienced with most other types of Asian cuisine and this was my and our daughter's first time trying it. I did some research online to find a restaurant in the Cape Coral/Ft Myers area that offered both authentic pho and a somewhat diverse variety of bubble tea in a traditional table service setting and their website appeared to fit the bill quite nicely. Daughter especially was very excited to try a different form of Asian soup, being a big fan of Japanese ramen, and so this was the choice we made. The pho itself I can't disparage; it was thick with flavorful broth, full of more noodles than even I could eat, and meatier than I expected. However, we were told the bubble tea menu was limited to three varieties and they were out of any and all beer, which I especially enjoy with ramen. It may not seem like a big deal, but a large part of the reason I chose this place was because of the bubble tea menu and it's just a drop in the bucket of the plummeting service standards we have all been enduring since the COVID pandemic. I'm really sick and tired of being asked to excuse these limitations and restrictions while the price of everything climbs and climbs and I'm just about finished putting up with it. I have come to expect disappointment, sticker shock, hidden restrictions, unwritten rules, invisible asterisks and unavailability in just about every establishment I patronize over the past five years. The incentive to learn the skills it necessary to eliminate the need for things like these has never been higher and it really isn't all that difficult. In the case of this little restaurant, the food was very good but the experience was just another indication of the lowered standards we all find ourselves paying more for than we ever have and I won't be back. I implore any of you who may be reading this to take the time and effort to learn the things you have taken for granted outside services will be able to provide for you and stop paying enormous prices for less and worse. It isn't as difficult as it seems.
