Ok we're ADDICTED! Lol! We had to have our weekly dose of Vietnamese food. But don't let David order! Somehow we got the biggest, most gigantic bowl of beef Pho with everything in it. A short rib, meatball, brisket, steak and lots of noodles. I didn't want tripe or tendons so they gave us extra of everything else. So we decided to get a Vietnamese Crepe too! Super yummy and crunchy with fresh veggies, shrimp, pork and greens to roll the crepe into. We ordered tea and it came in this beautiful glass teapot with teeny, tiny little cups! I swear we need lessons on how to use chopsticks while eating pho. I tried the chopsticks in one hand and the soup spoon in the other, but to no avail. After Sea Street Vietnamese Restaurant located next to Leaf Asian Market was closed, a new management and owner started the Viet Kitchen. Finally, we were able to sample their cuisine. On a Sunday night, it was packed. We got the last table and got seated immediately! Gone are pictures covered the wall from the Sea Street era! One look at their menu, you can tell Viet Kitchen more than just serving pho, banh mi and Vermicelli bowls. Hot pot, varieties of seafood like abalone, mussel, clams, escargot, oysters, razor clam, squid. Not too many restaurant serve Bun MaM, a fermented fish rice noodle soup or Chan Ga, chicken feet. Very interesting menu! Staff took time to explain some items in the menu. They are friendly and responsive! We opted in a Vietnamese crepes or Banh Xeo, Razor Clams on a sizzing hot plate and a combination Fried Rice. The Vietnamese crepe is little thicker than I had elsewhere. But the fresh ingredients made this very refreshing appetizer. The Razor Clams with grilled green scallions and Fried Rice are savory and tasty. One word to describe this, delicious! We had beer and water but skipped the dessert completely. Definitely, will be back for more! read more

Very plain restaurant...not much decoration, but very clean. My server was very patient, kind, and helpful. The Egg Rolls were hot and delicious. I had Pho with Filet Mignon, Brisket, Tendon, and meatballs. The Pho broth didn't have a lot of flavor, but I added Chili Garlic Sauce and it was perfect. Everything tastes authentic and absolutely amazing. The service is always on point--they come to your table right away, and everyone is super attentive. The atmosphere is also perfect: comfortable, not too loud, not too quiet, and you can really feel the culture as soon as you walk in. I uploaded a photo of my favorite soup, bún bò Huế, and it is seriously to die for. I've also had their pho, bún xèo, bánh mì, egg rolls, rice dishes, and spring rolls, and every single thing has been incredible. Nothing I've tried has missed. I'm not even exaggerating. This place used to be SeaStreet and we loved it. I was heartbroken when it closed and so it took a while to come back and try it with a new owner and new menu. I am now so sad that it took me so long to discover this business. My family and I loved everything that was here. It seems to be more authentic and focused on seafood but the staff is super friendly and they will help make recommendation and I will say be adventurous and try something new. I've been craving a big bowl of Pho since I returned from a trip to Dusseldorf, Germany last year. This was even better than I could have imagined! The flavors were so fresh and delicious. The fresh veggies to add to the soup only enhanced all the broth flavors. We also enjoyed the spring rolls with peanut sauce that was Sooooooo good! Apparently, this is a new owner but I will be back soon. The menu is massive and I cannot wait to try more. Our server was awesome and hustling around the restaurant. A hidden gem for sure! My family is predominantly Vietnamese, so I'm pretty picky with my noodle soups since we usually just make our own. We stopped by after a fishing trip and found this little hole in the wall. The owner was super nice and we talked a bit about the different fishing spots around the area. It was cozy and clean inside, but the food is what really charmed me. With many pho places, I've noticed they tend to specialize in a certain dish and the rest of the menu tends to be mediocre. Not with this place from what I can tell. The pho broth is super flavorful and they don't have to hide behind the gimmick of lots of beef or giant bowls(though they have the option for short ribs or ox tails and an XL bowl if that's what you're craving). The pho broth was not watery and you can tell they simmered lots of bones and cartilage by how silky the broth was. If you're super adventurous or miss the flavor of Vietnam, their bun mam is super funky(as it should be). I was super surprised they had it. I knew it was legit when they brought out the jar for shrimp paste haha. Many places shy away because of the smell, but my mom ordered it and gave it her approval, which is a huge compliment. The bun bo hue and the com tam were also great per my dad and uncle. They brought out the appropriate veggie garnishes for each dish and the soup toppings are varied, which I thought was super legit. I got tendon and tripe(my favorite) in my pho and there were blood cubes and pork hocks in the bun bo hue. I realized that those toppings sound a bit scary for the uninitiated, but there's basic pho and beef balls for those less adventurous, but still wanna have a good bowl of noodle soup. (Nothings wrong with the basics, as everyone's gotta start somewhere.) I don't wanna hype it up too much, but it's really nice to see a place that has their basics down and isn't trying too hard to be trendy. read more
