I came to this restaurant on a weekday evening at around 8:45pm because it was the only restaurant still open at that time other than BCD Tofu in that plaza. That's the only redeeming point for this place. Service was terrible. No one seated me after waiving down the waitress several times. We made eye-contact but no response/gesture from her. We finally sat down, received no water, I asked for water, the water never came, I asked another waitress for water, the water finally came but the cup was half full. Love a good pho bowl at the end of the week. We started with some rolls that were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The bowls are gigantic! I got a small and still thought it was large, good bang for your buck. You can also make your own bowl, pick what type of meats you want in your pho. Very cool! Pho Saigon Pearl is legit. The pho broth is rich and flavorful. The veggies are fresh. I know I will get good pho when I come here. You can choose between a small or large bowl of pho. I love their spring rolls, too. Service is nice, no major complaints (compared to some other places I have been to). Parking is hard to find in the Diamond Jamboree parking lot during peak hours. If you get the vegetable pho, make sure you specify if you want a veggie broth or not. Their eggrolls are extra crispy. Prices are on the higher side. Atmosphere is all right. I ordered their most popular recommended rice dish which was filet mignon steak cubes similar to bo Luc lac but less flavour then the regular Bo Luc lac and their tomato garlic rice didn't have much garlic flavour at all and was soggy and clumpy the tomato paste had chunks in it. This place I wouldn't say is for true viet people it's definitely more westernized. If you want better pho I definitely recommend phoholic or pho lovers. This is one of the few places in Diamond Jamboree that doesn't have an obnoxious line. When we came on a Tuesday around 8:30pm, there was no wait. I ordered the small size pho with seafood ($16), which comes with shrimp, fish filet, squid, and imitation crab. The amount of seafood and noodles for the small bowl was enough to fill me up. The broth was quite flavorful, but not as rich as Sup Noodle Bar. My favorite seafood in the pho was the fish and imitation crab, since they were tender. We came to Diamond Jamboree plaza, and ended up at Pho Saigon Pearl as it was able to accommodate our group of 7 without a crazy long wait. The restaurant is not that big, but has a good amount of tables. The menu is a decent size, and service was fine. I ordered a combination pho, and was glad that it had tendon and tripe (two of my favorite cuts). The flavor was good, though it was a bit pricey (not surprising for a restaurant in this plaza). I ordered a pho with 3 meats (pho tai nam gau). It has eye round steak, flank, and well done brisket. I also ordered a com thit nuong but substitute the thit nuong for suong nuong (pork chop). Honestly the size of the pork chop was super tiny and they charged me 3.50 extra for a tiny piece. If I can avoid it, I would not go here again and would rather travel 20 minutes extra to go to westminister or garden grove for better and more affordable vietnamese food. read more

Their pho is very average which is fine for Irvine. They serve lime wedges here. It's sad to note this but many pho places serve lemon which is not the same for me. There was no special reason to review this place until my recent visits... I recently tried their Bahn mi (sandwiches) and it's really good. And no photos were to be found on yelp. Its $9 which is hefty compared to GG or Westminster area but it's irvine. Baguette is light fluffy and thin crispy crust. I like the combo meat baguette. I thought the food was pretty good here. The crispy spring rolls were actually really good. The regular spring rolls weren't the best, but I was happy enough with the crispy ones to make up for it. I never been to a Vietnamese Restaurant with such amazing customer service. The server checked on my table at least three times, which is amazing and one crucial reason why this place deserves 5 stars. I order a combo pho which had a variety of meats in it. I love how the meats aren't too thick and I can eat them with the noodle and soup in one bite. This place also gives the perfect amount of noodles. I notice that some pho places gives too much. My friend added bean sprouts as one does and none of them cooked through. Perfect crunchy soup! Both of our meats stayed pink until the last bite because the not-warm soup did not cook the meat. Fairly priced and generous portions is another plus There's an honesty to the broth that I prefer over Ramen whose soup is too complex for me.
