After our stay over at Cranbrook, we decided to try this Pho shop before we continue our journey. Located at a mall with Save-on-Foods as the anchor, this is a small non-descriptive Pho shop. Good to see that Pho is available in this town!! Foodwise, I cannot compare it to any other Pho shops. Overview: I've read many good reviews for this restaurant so decided to check it out. We went a little before 5pm so the restaurant was quite slow. Given the speedy service and generous portion size, we wouldn't mind coming back again. I gave this restaurant 3 stars only because the soup was lukewarm. Otherwise I would've given it 4 stars. Food: 1. House special noodle soup ($11): the soup had great flavour but it was only lukewarm when we got it. We asked for it to be warmed up and the waitress gave us extra rice noodles. The only downside was the flank; it was a little too well done and tough to chew. 2. Bun-vermicelli noodle combo ($14.50): I would highly recommend getting this dish because... well... look at how beautiful it is! I read the reviews and feel I may have not experienced the same quality of food. Extremely salty pho stock, no vegetables (ordered and paid for veggies) and a couple of tiny slices of beef - not rare and very stringy. Quite disappointing. read more

We went to Pho Saigon for lunch. I had the house special Pho and my wife, the bun vermicelli noodle combo. Really excellent flavours, and very delicious. Portion sizes are large and prices very reasonable. I was completely full after my pho soup and my wife could only finish half her combo. The inside is clean and neat. Service was friendly. Best small town pho I've had! I'm spoiled to come from Vancouver where pho and sushi restaurant are on every block. So when I travel for work and crave some good noodle soup, I'm always down to try small town pho places - even tho they haven't always been satisfying. With that being said, Pho Saigon in Cranbrook has been one of the best pho places I've been to when it comes to my BC travels. I ordered #43 the Bun Bo Hue - spicy soup base with a variety of meat. The broth was light, aromatic and had just the right amount of spice. The service was great, the owner was sweet and food came out quick. The only downsides were that the broth was slightly salty (still trying to hydrate) and they didn't offer any basil to eat with your pho! Other than that, I'll be back every time I'm in Cranbrook for work or pleasure. Definitely recommend! read more

Visiting from out of town and had to try this local Vietnamese eatery. Ordered the $5.00 salad rolls on a mid Friday afternoon. Two other patrons were seated in the restaurant when we ordered. After a 5 minute wait the rolls arrived at our table. The server was all business and no smiles or greetings were exchanged. The rolls were well constructed with good proportions of ingredients and nice balance of flavours. The portion sizes were slightly below average but appropriate for the asking price. The peanut sauce was decent and paired well with the veggie rolls. Overall satisfying inexpensive fresh snack. Would recommend 3.5 stars read more

Stopped for lunch and we were delighted with our meals! Salad rolls took a little while to come out but that probably was because they were being freshly made! They were superb. Service is good and it's authentic Vietnamese food! The first time I was there I had Bun Bo Hue (Hue style thick noodle with hot chili oil in soup) and pork salad rolls. I had to go back for seconds, and third time after coming back from another trip in Rossland. This is a gem in the Interior BC! I mean, the best Bun Bo Hue is definitely in Calgary of all places, but this is close! Quite good Pho. Seems to be getting better every time I go. Let's hope it continues. House Special Pho is my favorite and what I always order at any Pho place as a baseline dish. We're from California so we're spoiled with excellent pho restaurants. On our way back from Banff, we found this restaurant so we stopped by for a quick dinner. We ordered pho. The broth tasted more Bac (Northern VN) than Nam (Southern). It was quite good. They didn't give enough meat and the bowl wasn't big. The service was fast for two servers, but it wasn't that crowded either. My son ordered the shaken beef and rice. Surprisingly, that tasted quite good. Maybe it's the beef, but the sauce along with the rice makes it so filling and delicious. We would go back if we're in the area, but we wouldn't go out of our way to get here. For that reason, we gave it a a four stars. read more

The service is slightly brief or impersonal but I enjoyed two kinds of Pho and some Pad Thai. All the dishes were pretty good. Perhaps not as good as the many Vietnamese places in Calgary but certainly mid pack for Calgary and certainly one of the better options in Cranbrook. Enjoyed it. read more
