Easily the best Vietnamese food in Casper. The Pho alone makes me jizz . Wow so good

Spring rolls looked great but were tasteless, no mint no cilantro and a lot of noodles. BBQ pork was good but not very hot and in dire need of condiments which luckily there were plenty of options. The place is a bit of a dump, service was OK, no beer or wine...no need to return. read more

Food was very good. They are not the cleanest place. The walls were dirty, floors had ants, and the blinds look like they got picked you from the dumpster. We wait for about ten minutes to check out and get a to go box. But over all it was a okay place to. read more

Mother of pearl is this place good. The servers are always friendly and super efficient, the food always fresh, and the broth is consistently to die for. As a former resident of Casper I loved going to this restaurant years ago and I still crave their Pho Dac Biet several times a month. When I visit family in Wyoming this a must-eat destination. My wonderful, but picky, sister ate every bite of her food when I took her for the first time and thanked me over and over for introducing her to this place. Win-win, right? P.S. This place has very tasty beef Pho. An order of spring rolls comes with 3 fresh rolls & peanut sauce. We found them to be excellent as well. The place is very small & appears to be family owned restaurant. Is nothing special outside/inside, it's plain & very barren. If you come here, it's going to have to be for the food & friendly service. I agree with fellow yelper that this place rates about a 3 of 5 stars in the upkeep arena. IOur Waiter/cashier Lee was happy to serve us & he checked on us frequently. He was really interested in our opinion of the food & was confident we'd love it. I stopped by Casper on the way go to Denver. The restaurant is small and has a beautiful painting on the wall. The food comes so fast. Maybe only 1 table at that time. When I go to the cashier and I get the check my food only $26.50 but the lady told me totally $32. It means $5.50 is Tax. It's very expensive for the tax. Or they are cheating the price. I live in NYC before the tax never expensive like that. And I still give the tip $5. read more

4/8/15. This is one of Shirley's go to places for lunch! SAY WHAT??? A pho restaurant in Casper, WY. There isn't another one 100 miles from here. Cute little, plain looking with no ambiance but inviting space. It has gone through a couple of owners I heard. It is now family owned by a Vietnamese family. I ordered for lunch the Chicken Lo Mein. Flavors were wonderful & there was plenty of it. Shirley ordered her stand-by Beef Pho. Said the broth was amazing, and best pho around! We also shared an order (3) of Spring Rolls w/hosin sauce which was stellar. Our waiter was friendly, checking on us often, curious if we liked everything. Very affordable prices. This place gets 5 stars for the food, and 3 stars for the atmosphere, so a 4 star average. There is only one thing I order whenever I come here and that is the Bun Cha. Order the Bun Cha and dump every drop of fish sauce in it and some chili paste and you'll be in heaven. read more

It makes me really sad to write this review. My family comes and visits Casper every summer and it's been a tradition to visit Pho Saigon. We called ahead for takeout and as we pull in I see a sign that says "new owners". Sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes not. Since the food was amazing before, there was not much more it could do to improve, but only go down. My son doesn't like too much crazy stuff so I ordered his look mein with only broccoli. I repeated it several time because I wasn't sure he understood. I thought he got it, but sadly no. My wife got lo mein too and she was not happy. Both were greasy and tasted strange. I got the beef pho and it was decent. A little thin and not as much body as before. I'm not sure we will be back. read more

Huge big city noodle bowl restaurant in a small town! Excellent find. The food here is great, the portions are big, and the prices are low. That's called a "trifecta" Pho is great here although it maybe took some time to season the pots? - the pho has gotten richer since they've been open and it's now the equal of just about any bowl I've had anywhere around the country. They have good steamed buns, which is a pretty rare treat even in bigger markets. The dining area is very basic, but the cleanliness is high - something I've noticed seems to be a by-product of an owner in the kitchen! Passing through Casper, and tried this place for dinner because of seeing it on Yelp. We really, really, really enjoyed the Chicken Pho and the Beef Lo Mein (#10 &#17). There was plenty of it, and the flavors were wonderful! My mother-in-law enjoyed the pork comboo, as well. Most entrees ranged from 8 to 11 dollars. I don't know how I've missed out on this place for so long....I think it's because the outside of the building is somewhat off-putting and before Pho Saigon got here, this place was changing all the time and I think I felt afraid to get attached to a restaurant that might go away in a couple months. But now I know all that my ignorance had cost me! I went today with my sister, who apparently comes here quite often, so she knows what's good. She always gets the #7 (rare steak pho) and iced coffee. Both of these were great! The pho is SO flavorful. I have never had pho before, but consider me a fan. I had Bun, which is kind of like pho but without the broth. So it has rice noodles, sauce, a bunch of seasonings, and then the one I got had BBQ pork, shrimp, and an egg roll. WAY GOOD!!! So much flavor and very pleasing textures. Next time we'll get an order of egg rolls as well because they are SO good--and I never thought I could ever be surprised by an egg roll!! This place was a extremely pleasant surprise. I was told by friends to try this place out, and have been putting it off for some time, (I had a poor experience at the last Pho place I ate at in Oregon). I ordered the Meat balls Pho, and got home to discover I had received the wrong order. I winged it anyways, ( ended up getting the raw beef and tendon), and to my surprise it was incredible. The broth was intense and deep, not watered down and boring. The meat was good cuts of meat, with little to no gristle. The veggies were fresh and the egg rolls I also got were great. I will be going back, and telling my friends to try it. I may just order random stuff every time! read more

I went in about 7 months ago when I first relocated to Casper. I came from a city with a lot of awesome Pho options and I had one of those cravings! I decided to try Pho Saigon and I was slightly disappointed. Then, I saw they closed down.... A few weeks later they reopened with a new owner and BAM! They are doing a great job. I've been 3 times this week alone. The meat is great, the broth is great, spring rolls are great and the wait staff is friendly. Today it was a full house, with every table filled. I hope this restaurant continues on this trajectory. Go order a number 14 and some spring rolls if you are looking for a good starter option to get you into Vietnamese cuisine. Recommend the Tai Nam pho. Rice bowls, veggies and eggs are cool. We were served with forks and knives rather than chop sticks. This is not particularly spicy so it is well adapted for the local population. We were served very quickly. Fortune cookies have cute sayings here. Owner has CD boom box playing music. One would be hard pressed to find better Vietnamese food at a more affordable place anywhere near here. read more

Man, I never expected good pho all the way out here in Wyoming but Wow!! It was definitely one of those spots comparable to places in California. The egg rolls were so amazing. The chicken pho, amazing. You gotta eat it to believe it! There's no Vietnamese place around so just go here before embarking on a long journey where you will be without good Asian food for a long time. It's soooo good in the winter. I love Casper WY for this place. Thank you Pho Saigon!! The only thing to nitpick about is the place is a little bit dated but I felt like the people were super nice and the food super awesome. How can you complain? It felt authentic to me. I would totally go all the way to Casper for this place! Haha. Also the people of Casper are super nice and it's a totally different vibe there. I would say i have to go to this restaurant every week, like my routine haha. I love the beef ball soup so much and also egg rolls are so good. Not crazy about dining with a non service dog at the next table...but the owner did not appear to care...boom box music, Jesus, Vigin Mary, and some asian hero/relative altar...weird red bows everywhere...an interpretation of feng shui ??? The summer rolls were stellar...but I can because of all of the rave reviews regarding the PHO...this is definitely a basic interpretation of americanized Pho but it is not the Vietnamese Pho I thought! Would I return...well no, the restaurant/residence does not appeal to me as the boom box on one side of the room and cartoons on the other, a dog in a restaurant--not so much, and basically very bland PHO...no I will not. Save your Pho adventure for an authentic Vietnamese place on Federal in Denver...it just makes so much more sense in the long run. read more

The fact that there is a pho joint run by a real Vietnamese family is a gift from the gods. The pho is real, real broth, real noodles, etc. the Vietnamese coffee is solid. The springrolls are hand made. They serve hosin sauce instead of fish sauce. I'm guessing the fish sauce is to ethnic for the local taste. But the hosin works good. This place made me able to survive casper when I was homesick for real pho. I highly encourage everyone to come here, the owner is very nice. Keep him in business. read more

I've never been soo sick in my life!!! Service was friendly and fast, building is run down and in need of new ceiling tiles, food was a new flavor profile that was a little odd for my taste. Was a new experience that I was planning to try again with different items I saw on the menu, until.....Oh man, I was sick for 3 days. Went to urgent care and was diagnosed with food poisoning. Coming from NY, standards of viet cuisine is definitely high and this place not only met my expectations, but went beyond. The server was very accommodating to my pickiness and allergies and checked in on us very frequently. Never was the water in my cup more than half empty and everything I needed was catered to. Do not let the outside sign or the emptiness that you might witness during meal times stray you away. The food was ON POINT. (I was so excited to eat I forgot to take a pic) I got viet ice coffee, rice shaken beef (idk why it's called shaken but it's steak tips grilled w delicious spices w an egg), and spring rolls. Our family stopped in Casper on our way home from Thanksgiving in Montana. This place is a decent hole in the wall. The waiter was attentive, food was ready quick, and this was a great pit stop on our 1,500 mile journey home. What a surprise! I was in town for a night for business and came across this hole in the wall restaurant - Pho Saigon. Thinking in my mind..a pho restaurant in Casper, WY?? Not expecting much but I have to give it a try. When I walked in, I was given a look like you would imagine - a Vietnamese from out of town walking into a pho restaurant in the middle of Wyoming. I came in and saw a mom and daughter who sat me and someone who I assumed to be their American husband/BF. I even tried to throw him a curve ball by ordering in Vietnamese, he did not ask me a single question about my order. This was hands down one of the best pho dac biet I've had in years. I live in Seattle and pho here is like Starbucks. I have been to Vietnam and tasted some of the best pho around. The broth was amazing. Flavorful with great aroma. Something that I would have from my mom. The portions were great and the service to match. I am so glad that that I came across this restaurant, I am just disappointed that I no longer travel to Casper for work! I hope they continue serving great food. read more

If you live in Casper you should try Pho Saigon as it is an Authentic Vietnamese Pho experience in an uncharacteristic place. The interior is fairly spartan though the pho is worth it. As it is fairly straightforward and traditional. All in all a good place worth visiting. read more
