Thai food in Mexico? Not so many options for Thai food here so when I saw this place I was excited…read moreto go try it and have my girlfriend try Thai food for the first time. It was surprisingly good. Much better than i expected. I got the pad Thai and the fried rice and the papaya salad. The pad Thai and fried rice was comparable to Thai places in California and even Thailand. The only thing I didn't like was the tofu. It tasted dry and tough. Maybe it was old. I won't get any tofu next time. The fried rice was delicious as well. One word of warning tho. They ask do you want mild, medium, or spicy? I said medium and medium was extremely spicy. It was still good but I was dripping with sweat. The papaya salad wasn't for me but my girlfriend really liked it. The Thai iced tea was delicious and the boba was a little tougher than I'm used to but still good. Their fried banana dessert with ice cream was good. Worth it for only $3. Their menu is small and simple. I don't eat anything besides pad Thai and friend rice so those were good enough for me to come back and eat here again. I brought my own vegan chicken tenders to eat with the fried rice and pad Thai which made my meal complete. They also accept credit cards without adding a surcharge. Overall it's a good option for Asian food. It's much better than any of the Chinese food I've tried in Tijuana.

I was scared to try Thai food in TJ but I'm glad I did! This place was actually really good and the…read moreservice was great! We also had the Tom kha soup and the Tom yum. They were both really good. The Tom yum had a bit too much like but was still very very good!

El Yogurt Place - Estoy son los chilaquiles más aguados que he probado, la verdad nada buenos, además de que le ponen lechuga y los hace más húmedos.

I love El Yogurt Place! I went here for the first time last month, and I just HAD to come back when…read morewe were back in town - and not just for the gatito! :) If you haven't been before, it is near the coastline in Playas de Tijuana. There's parking around the corner, but if it's busy, it'll be hard to grab a spot. Worth looking around for parking though! We went on a busy Sunday morning where we waited about 25 minutes, which was not a problem because there was plenty of wait seating and the store to keep you busy! Every seat is met with exquisite natural lighting, and we were seated next to a window, so it was even more bright! The restaurant itself is very home-like, bringing bright colors with dark wood details all around. There's also a cute fountain outside, and a shop cat to keep you company (el gatito!!). The menu is large with many options, and as you can see, it's a little bit on the pricer side for the area. However, I'll argue that it's well worth the money! When we were seated, we got the complimentary toast with butter and pumpkin jam, which is always a treat! We ordered a few mains for our family: chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, enchiladas and French toast (see photos). All were made with love and tasted homemade! The best part - and the reason why I begged to come back was for the fruit salad with frozen yogurt ice cream! DO NOT SKIP THIS!!! It is the BEST thing on the menu! I'll always bring them my business when I come to TJ!

A hidden gem in Tijuana that's worth the trip every time. El Yogurt Place is the perfect blend of…read morehealth, flavor, and charm. Nestled near the border but tucked away enough to feel peaceful, this spot is a total oasis. The menu is full of fresh, wholesome options -- everything from their creamy yogurt smoothies to hearty vegetarian dishes and crisp, colorful salads. Even the "Licuado Especial" with papaya and granola -- it's refreshing, filling, and just the right amount of sweet. The avocado sandwich and veggie tacos are also must-tries. Everything tastes like it was just picked from the garden. What really makes this place stand out is the welcoming atmosphere and the lush, tranquil patio. Whether you're stopping by after a hike or making it a destination all its own, El Yogurt Place feels like a breath of fresh air -- literally and figuratively. Prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the staff is always kind and attentive. Healthy eating doesn't get better than this. Pro tip: Bring cash and your appetite -- and maybe a friend, because you'll want to try everything.
