Really quick serving pho. Loved it. Very tasty!! I had the special / pho dac biet with extra meat balls on the side.

I drove from downtown to this out of no where Pho. This place was packed and it's located like everyone said, hole in a wall... Out of nowhere. The imperial roll is a bit soft in the inside compares to other pho places, it's like biting on an empty crispy fried roll. That one, I'll skip next time. The main focus, PHO. I must say it is one of the best and by far from all the pho I've been in Montreal. It's super tasty, the beef are tendered. I drove 20 minutes from Downtown to here and it's totally worth it. Service wise.. Well look, I get that they are busy, but it also questionable when I see people came in after start eating their pho when my order of imperial has not arrived yet. I waited minimum 15 minutes before the first dish arrive (spring roll, shrimp rolled with rice paper). Will I go? Absolutely, just for the pho but I won't go back every month though... It's a bit far...

I had Pho Tai Nam extra large and it wasn't that great. I'm a big eater so this opinion will not affect everyone, because it felt like a medium bowl to me and I could've eaten a couple of more of these bowls. The bowl is filled with a lot of broth, with a handful of noodles and meat. Noodles were on the firmer side. The rare beef was really thin and small, gave about 6 pieces. The beef flank was a bit overdone, in which it melts in your mouth too easily. Not my type of beef flank, but was given a decent amount. The broth was more on the traditional side, but it had a bit of a sharp sour taste to it. But when mixed with the sauces (Hoisin and Sriracha) it made the broth a bit more tolerable. Experience on service is nothing more than mediocre. Given ice tea and order when you're ready.

Beef in a ginger sauce ...yummy but not stellar...small humble restaurant... wondering where my coffee I order has gone to?!?

A small hole in the wall, selling inexpensive Vietnamese food. I ordered fried spring rolls, an iced coffee, and an all dressed pho, with an extra meatballs on the side. The spring rolls sucked. Not wrapped in rice paper, the spring roll had a weird filling. It was severely lacking meat. The iced coffee tasted weirdly chocolatey and was not strong enough. Wouldn't order again. The pho was solid tho. Deep rich beef broth full of spices, tasty meat cuts and very good, smooth, noodles. Would go back just for the pho.

This is a family business that is known to the viet community I believe. The broth is very tasty and rich in beef bone and other essential ingredients. the place serves Bun Bo Hue noodle everday instead of only on weekends at most places. I personally prefer the mild original pho broth. One negative remark about the food is that he portion size of noodle fluctuates from time to time. And sometimes the broth can be very greasy if you order a pho containing cooked beef flank. Very busy from Thurs to Sat.

One of the best phos I've had in a long time. Worth the distance and the price. The bowl was full compared to the last pho I had a few months ago in the West Island. The broth was tasty. The other dishes look good too. This busy place is a family run business and sit about 25-30 patrons. I won't hesitate to go back that far to have a good bowl of pho. Fully recommend.

Spicy beef soup...the best in Montreal!

What a privilege to be able to enjoy well prepared Vietnamese food served in large portions. The pork served with both #49 and 58 were both juicy, tender, well- seasoned with great depth of flavor and texture. We also enjoyed the 3 bean drink. Reminds me of the Filipino halo- halo. We're planning to return tomorrow to enjoy Pho Anh Vu's other offerings. Stay tuned for updates. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

My family made reservations for noon on a Saturday and thankfully so, because the line was out the door upon arrival. We ordered a pho dac biet (#15) and bun bo hue dac biet (#24) . Come hungry, because their large bowls are massive! Their pho was so nourishing and comforting on a rainy day. Each bowl loaded with a hefty serving of meat, tendon and tripe. The herbs were incredibly fresh and even came with culantro! But the star of this meal had to be the bun bo hue; I haven't had such an amazing bun bo hue from a restaurant in a long time. The broth was beefy and loaded with tender pieces of meat, but also finally had enough of the lemongrass essence I crave for in bbh. It packed just the right amount of heat without it being overpowering or mouth-numbing. I practically licked the bowl clean at the end of the meal. My family was ecstatic to have found another spot that hits close to home for them. Flavors are impeccable and portion sizes are very generous. We already decided that we will be regulars. You'll catch us here very often!

The selection of menu was incredibly special. The offering is Northern Vietnamese food and these special dishes are really hard to find at any different Vietnamese restaurant. Bun Cha Ha Noi - is also called Obama noodle because President Obama had it when he was in Vietnam. Besides the grilled pork, the hardest thing in my opinion is the sauce, which was good here. The only that bothered me is how small the portion is. We had to order extra meat for my daughter. Bun Dau Mam Tom - I have high expectation for a very authentic Vietnamese disk so I was not impressed with their Bun Dau Mam Tom. It normally comes with pork intestine. Where is my pork intestine? Haha Again the portion is also very small. Nem be which is similar to spring roll was also something we called at the end when everyone was still hungry. In my opinion, it is a bit expensive for the food and the portions are small.

Whatever it was Pho Saigon Viet-Nam served me up the best Satay Beef Pho I ever tasted. I started my lunch meal with spring rolls ($5,00). They were good but not the best spring rolls I ever had. The roll I thought was a bit chewy. Next came the Satay Beef ($12) which totally flavored the Pho. It was the best Pho I ever had but mind you I am no expert. They have a strange business model in that a small bowl is $11 and a large bowl is $12. It came out piping hot. I had to let it sit, as well as, blow on the broth to cool it down. The staff was tri-lingual. Imagine that! The food came out quick. It seems a lot of locals dine here. The restaurant is located in Chinatown. The street entrance is below ground level. The restaurant is somewhat dated and upkeep could be improved. The food is a 5 STAR in my opinion.

The restaurant was relatively empty. Tabletops had a bit of a stench to it and the menus handed to us were sticky. Not one to judge a book by its cover and these conditions are fairly common in Chinatown. The menu was pretty extensive with all the common dishes. I really wanted some banh cuon or banh uot, but on a frigid night, I felt like some pho would hit the spot instead. The bun bo hue and banh canh were very enticing to me; those would've been great options on a cold night as well. Prices were reasonable ranging from 12-16$ based on size. We ordered a small and medium; instantly regretted not getting a bigger size though because I def could have eaten more. Broth was darker than normal. Nothing stood out about the broth, but it was pretty spice-forward and still very much hit the spot. They surprisingly loaded up on the meat; I've never had this much meat in my bowl of pho at any other restaurants. The noodles were also cooked perfectly! Realistically I probably wouldn't come back here as often if my other usual spots were open, but I'm especially grateful they were welcoming during holiday hours. I noticed that the banh xeo and some other dishes were cheaper than other places though, so maybe I'll return for that. CASH ONLY.

Lots of rice! But the pork chop was decent regular size. Pork chop was perfectly marinated and I love the glaze that comes with it. Cooked perfectly as well not too dry and not tough. Also the fried egg was perfect! A little soft fried sunny side egg yolk! Overall I loved all elements of this place and I had so much rice left over but I was FULL for the whole day. Banh Xeo - 10/10 HUGE portion as well! It's super stuffed with lots of filling and the crepe was cooked soft and crispy! I like this style of appetizer because it's super hands on and you get to wrap it like a little roll. Super fun and yummy appetizer! ALSO pleaseee try the sugar cane drink!
