Food was good! But service was horrible hence the 2 stars. My group has 6 people but for some reason, they gave us 3 glasses of ice water and 3 cups of hot tea instead of 6 each or just 6 of 1 kind. They weren't that busy but they forgot our drink orders (even when we reminded 4 times) and got our order incorrectly. And when they finally brought our food out, they spilled pho broth on 1 person from my group. My mom told me not to tip but I tipped anyway with note suggesting that they should really work on improving their service. My unsolicited advice is just do take out and not dining in. read more

My girlfriend and I usually go to this place. It had been good until yesterday. We ordered a Bun Bo Hue and a grilled pork white rice. When I took a spoon. It hadn't been washed, then I told a waiter, he didn't even say sorry or anything. Just took the spoon and went away??? It's OK, I am not picky. After finishing our meal, I asked for the check and one to go box for the Bun Bo Hue. Then I was surprised because they charged 0.5$ for TOGO BOX. Seriously? It's ridiculous. Overall, the grilled pork was salty and the Bun BO Hue was oily. Spoon hadn't been washed. A to go box for 0.5$. Never ever go back. read more

Cheap and delicious. Super clean joint. Recommended.

New favorite Phó spot. I have been here a half dozen times now and it's delicious! Great service, great phò and extremely clean!! The phó portions are very generous! read more

The bhan Xeo was not good at all. The pan cake was made way to thin and the filling was only bean sprouts. I wouldn't recommend the bhan xeo read more

Wow the pho dac biet here is huge. I got the small bowl and it felt like a large. They do not mess around with the meats!!!! You even get an oxtail wow. I wanted to love the bowl so much, but I hated how the broth was on the sweeter side. I definitely could taste the rock sugar. Still, a good bowl of pho. I will be back for sure. read more

After traveling to Ho Chi Minh City I discovered Pho Loan and the best crab soup in Chicago. Great food, great service. Always nice and priced very good. read more

Wanted to try a new Pho restaurant since I almost exclusively go to Le's around the corner (which I still think is pretty fantastic). I was ultimately disappointed with Loan. The pho portion was huge and the side condiments extremely fresh. I ordered soft beef tendon and I have to say the pieces of meat were extraordinary! However, my biggest disappointment is that the pho was sweet. I imagine sugar was added to the broth. Didn't care for the sweetness at all. I see a few comments on Yelp mentioning the sweetness of the food here. Don't know if this is a "regional" Vietnamese way of preparing food or just a cook's choice. If the restaurant gets rid of the added sugar, I'd be back in a heartbeat. read more

The soups are authentic Vietnamese and delicious! We tried the Pho and the Bun. Portions are big although the Large bowl wasn't much bigger than the Small bowl of soup. Small is good enough. Will be back definitely. read more

Decent food, but the customer service was terrible. I wouldn't go back with there being so many other great choices in the neighborhood.

Pho, and food in general, is definitely on point here. The broth is delicious, and all the other Vietnamese eatery staples are done well. Just go! read more

Came here with my family around 3 pm on a Sunday, only other people here were Vietnamese m, had very authentic vibe. The appetizer we ordered was this yellow flakey crepe with bean sprout filling, coconut milk, and this was a perfect light appetizer. Very good pho , I had the pho gah #22 I believe, which was like a lemongrass chicken flavored broth with chicken (off bone) . The beef pho was also excellent , broth was right amount of salty. We ordered small pho, although the portions are quite large. Also recommend getting Vietnamese ice coffee:) read more

Bun Nuoc Leo Soc Trang here is the best! Place is bright and clean. I heard pho here is better than most place, will try next time! If you are tire of Pho Pho and more Pho, you should try here! read more

We found this place while we were walking to Tanks down the street. Saw a bunch of people inside and figured what the heck. Boy, did we ever found a gem. This is not as big as a place as Tanks but it is bigger in taste. Their soup for their Pho was out of this world because we felt that Tanks' soup has watered down considerably. With their price being on the high side, Pho Loan is much much better in taste and price. read more

With a plethora of phó options available on Argyle, Phó Loan is my favorite. The staff is kind, the restaurant is clean, and the phò stands out in both quality and quantity. Love it! read more

Great authentic Vietnamese food. Bun bo hue was the best I had in Chicago. Bo Luc Lac also very tasty. Service a bit slow.

I usually go to Tank Noodle since that's where I usually go, but I didn't want to wait in line so I stumbled upon this restaurant. I really didn't know what to expect. I ended up getting Pho (what I usually get from Tank Noodle) and let's just say, it was pretty good!!! And for a better price too. I also ordered 4 avocados smoothie to go which I was getting impatient for... It look longer then I thought. Maybe the worker was new??? But it literally took 20 mins to make 4 smoothies. Other then that, I would definitely come back! read more

You gotta try this place. We loved their cook. This place has very authentic Vietnamese food. I'm talking about the kind of food you would find in Vietnam. Their smoothies are phenomenon too. read more

Service was great, but the Bahn mi I got was disappointing. There wasn't enough filling inside the sandwich compared to how much bread there was. Felt like I overpaid. read more

Some of the most flavorful pho broth I've ever had, and the crab rangoons were amazing. Everything was so fresh. I'll definitely be back.

Small but food is delicious. Ordered 2 Vietnamese sandwiches and they are so yummy and vegetables are so fresh. One of the best pho soups in argyle. Stir fry egg noodle with shrimp is excellent . Will come back again with family and friebds read more

The place is horrible, my food the seven way rice was sweet and the waiter did know what they have or doing.

I came here with my son because Tank was full. And I'm so glad I did. The food was wonderful. My son had Pho and I had #44 rice plate with grilled pork.. It was very tasty did not disappoint. We also had the crab rangoon a bit doughy but still taste good! The service could be better but all in all a good experience. read more

I wish there was a NO STAR option. The server was so rude. When we got there he was arguing with a woman who said her order was wrong. He was nastily telling her he wrote down what she asked for. My granddaughter ordered a mango bubble tea. It was a takeout order. It took several minutes to be acknowledged as she stood in front of 2 servers who ignored here. Then to make the order it took another 10 minutes. We were the only people waiting except for the ones arguing about their order. The topper is it cost $5.50!!!! read more

This place is honestly my favorite. I eat it nearly everyday. This place is SO clean. There isnt even dust on the light fixtures. The pho is clean, tasty, with so many unique varieties. The rice with grilled pork chop is another super great dish that gets overlooked. All their soup dishes are FLAME. read more

First impression was the place was clean and new. I ended up ordering egg rolls and a small pho. The first thing that came out was the pho which I though was pretty big(I don't think it was the small I ordered) I preceded to ask about my egg rolls because I assumed that they would come out first. The female server said that I only order pho so I told her that's fine but the male server interrupted and said that it was coming. I told them both that I did not want them if they still haven't fried them yet. The male server insisted that they were being cooked but it took another 10-15mins to come out. When they eventually came out I took a bite and did not expect it to be mushy on the inside compared to other egg rolls I've had in the area. As I was ready to pay the male server mentioned that their credit card machine wasn't working which they failed to mention before I ordered. There was no signage anywhere stating that the machine was broken. I wasn't happy when he said I needed to go to the ATM next door which charged a fee of $3. Needless to say I won't be going there again and don't recommend this place due to lack of customer service. There are better pho restaurants in the area with better customer service and excellent food within walking distance of this place. read more

I went in there today with my husband and we've eaten there a couple times before, the restaurant wasn't busy today I would say two other tables with customers. We'll we ordered two bowls of pho, 35 mins later still no pho! they didn't even come by and let us know what was taking so darn long. unfortunately we stood up tipped them $5 and left. I've eaten in many pho restaurants and it has never taken that long to serve. The chef also has a sweet tooth, he/she makes a couple of dishes I ordered too sweet. Besides that the Pho is actually pretty decent. read more

I ordered hu tieu My Tho but I got Mien Nam Vang, and the cook came out to argue with me and told me I am wrong, and charged me the order in which I did not eat, very bad customer service here, not recommended at all. read more

The food was fabulous. I slurped out the remaining brothers from pho. My daughter is vegetarian and had to #63 vegetable pho - she thought that it was among the most flavorful that she has had. We are definitely coming back. read more

Pho Loan ...ordered a large pho combination. Soup base taste flavor was good no grease. Meats were also good. Prices for small or large Pho are pricier than other Pho locations. Would not rave or plan to go back even though the pho soup base was just okay for two reasons. 1. Price compared to other really good pho places and #2 was CHARGED EXTRA For a CONTAINER to TAKE LEFT OVER. Shocked Never has taking your left overs at restaurants has there been an Extra Charge on the bill for a container. Chicago ABC7 Hungry Hound rated Pho Loan as one of top three which is the reason I went to taste and check it out. read more

Do not bother going here for food, because the service is terrible. Waiters, and even owners are really rude, and not willing to help you at all with your order. Me and my friends went there on a weekday, and the restaurant was not that crowded, but when we requested for a bigger table as more of my friends were gonna come later, they gave us attitude and mumbling something. Now come to the worst part, dishes that we ordered were not the same as description and not to mention, the meat loaf in banh mi smelled aweful as if it is 7 days old. When we complaint about that the owner came, without an apology saying this is how its supposed to be. This is an extremely terrible experience. Please be considerate before coming here! trust me you do not want to come back for a second time!!!! read more

One of my Vietnamese clients referred me to Pho Loan for authentic Vietnamese food. I LOVED this place! The pho was delicious--I had the chicken. It's enough for two! I brought it home & reheated it and...it was just as delicious as before. I can't recommend this place more highly. I brought a discriminating friend with me and he agreed--it's a wonderful find. Can't beat the price either. Looks to be a nice family-owned and run restaurant. Happy eating! read more

I like this new little place! They don't mind explaining everything and educating someone who might be unfamiliar with the cuisine. The food tastes great and fresh. They even make dishes not on the menu or special requests if you ask. We came here because Tank Noodle was closed. This place is just as delicious but not as crowded. No complaints there! Taking one star because the server was a young kid who took forever. It seems like he was more interested in his phone. read more

The food & service were excellent here. I had the small Pho Beef & my daughter had the small Pho Chicken. Both soups were excellent & so filling. We had spring rolls & crab rangoon as appetizers, and they were terrific & so fresh!! I would highly recommend this delicious restaurant for authentic Vietnamese food!!! We'll be back to try more items on the extensive menu! read more

The service was terrible and the management was defiant. Four of us went in on a Tuesday night around 6, only a few tables occupied. The two appetizers came out just fine. One of us got her shrimp noodle dish first, and it was also fine. It was several minutes, however, until two more people received their soup noodle dishes. We asked about our final entree and were told it was coming right up. Every few minutes we asked again, same response, coming right up. One of our group was native Vietnamese, so there was no communication mix up. About 20 minutes after our first person received her noodles, our waiter came over and asked me what number I had ordered. Bad sign. Five minutes after that we finally said, forget it, every one is finished with their meal, don't bother fixing it. A few minutes after that the waiter came over and handed me my shrimp stir fry. No apology. No, would you like a free soda? Just put my meal on the table. Our Vietnamese friend made it clear we didn't want it, too late. A few minutes later the waiter showed back up with the meal boxed to go. We asked if they were giving this to us, and the response was no, full price. At that point, our Vietnamese friend had been pushed over the edge, and took it to the person in charge (manager? Owner?) and she was told hey, they provided what we ordered, full price. After 5 minutes of arguing, the management offer was half price to take the meal home. We refused. They took back the boxed meal and finally removed the charge. I'm pretty easy going, and if they'd just apologized and offered an appetizer or something along the way, or at the very end said please accept our apologies and take this meal home for another time, I'd not have written a thing. As it was, the service was awful and the management couldn't care less. read more
