I'm leaving this review to raise a serious concern about billing transparency at this restaurant. According to my receipt, after the subtotal, the restaurant added Sales Tax (9.625%), which is normal. However, they also charged an additional "Custom Fee", and what's more concerning is that the tip appears to be included in the taxable amount. In California, tips are not taxable and should never be added into sales tax calculations, especially without clearly informing the customer in advance. Any additional fees must be clearly disclosed before ordering, not added at checkout without explanation. I don't mind tipping or paying fair fees, but I do mind when charges are added in a way that feels misleading or unclear. Transparency matters, especially when customers trust restaurants to follow California consumer and tax laws. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and clarifies their pricing and fee policies to avoid confusing or overcharging customers in the future.

We consistently come here for our Cietnamese Ho and rice vermicelli plates and fresh spring rolls - we sometimes eat in restaurant but typically we go and pickup and eat on our deck - the same go north in pretty good and the bowl is filling - the fresh spring rolls are delicious, and the pork plates (or ice or vermicelli) are also great with as much Nuoc Cham as they'll give me yum yum yum - our comfort food - I can never finish my whole bowl or plate - it's great for lunch or even breakfast the next day! (Can't always wait for lunch!)

Pho Little Saigon is located in the Marina Plaza. The parking in this small plaza is challenging. I stopped into get a snack and something to drink. The interior was cozy. You can order via kiosk for takeout but they do offer table service and a cashier who could take your order also. *Fresh Spring Rolls Pork & Shrimp - good fresh ingredients and the peanut sauce was good. I forgot to add some sambal oelek for that heat. *Ice Coffee W/Condense Milk - decent, smooth & creamy.

Everything I tried (three visits) was really good. They kindly made me a stir fry with beef and vegetables that is not on the menu. The phó is very good; vermicelli noodle bowl also very good. Banh mi too. Helpful, attentive staff. They gave me some great soup once, and gave me a sample of fried chicken as well.

This is one of my go-to pho spots. The soup is clean and flavorful. The meat and noodle portions are good. I also get the avocado smoothie, which is creamy and not too sweet. Sometimes they use unripe avocados, so the flavor doesn't fully come through. Food comes out very fast, and it's definitely a fast casual restaurant. Pricing is fair but a little more expensive than other spots. Would recommend if you're looking for pho in the area.

Beef Pho

Was craving some beef pho and ordered from here because it's really close to home and I'm tryna eat like now lmao Ordered the House Special Combination Beef and Beef Balls to have it delivered home. Once it came, noticed the packaging was secured and the soup was HOT and wasn't concerned about it cooling down once it arrived. Today I'm not too concerned about minor details, I was honestly just hella hungry and wanted a simple bowl of pho. And that's what I got, a simple bowl of pho. My fatass wishes they had more beef balls, but aside from that, it's good. My thoughts might be a little different if I went inside to eat, but that's for another time.

I would have tipped over 15% however the tip is calculated off of my order, the sales tax AND the custom fee.
Ling L.

The food is 3 stars (convenience) however their deceit in their tipping structure is little to be desired. Payment is done at the front, no issue. They'll turn the screen quickly for you to add the tip. For those that like to review their bill, you'll need to request to see it and the owner will make a face when you ask, no issue. They add a 3% custom fee aka credit card fee, no real issue since times are tough. However, the calculated tip is on: 1. your order 2. sales tax 3. and the custom fee! That's tipping outrageously for service that is not well performed. It is editable so use this review to help inform your decision. While tipping is discretionary, tip is added to the order, though nowadays, business owners are adding tip on the sales tax, and in this case, the custom fee! We are all in tough times --these owners are greedy. See photos for reference.

Pretty good service, when I came in I was greeted immediately and served water. Food came out less then 10 minutes. It was empty at first and then got packed after awhile, which had this home vibe. The pho was so good for a rainy day. Def will be back soon.

Love mom and pop shops. We ordered for pick up from this place and it was ready within 20 minutes. This is your typical hole in the wall pho place. No frills. We enjoyed our meal from here and would absolutely return. Pho combo 2 4/5 This looks pho was flavorful with that nice beef umami. The noodles were good texture and the meat was plentiful! They put all the accoutrements on the side so we were able to heat the broth further at home. Combo plate with pork chop, chicken wing, and egg roll 4/5 This plate was larger than expected! You get 2 full chicken wings that were nice and crispy and tender on the inside. Went nicely with the fish sauce. The pork chop was on the drier side so would probably go for bbq instead next time. Egg roll was also nicely fried with the typical stuff inside. Well worth the price. Overall, I would definitely come back when I'm around the area and craving Vietnamese food. Is it the best I ever had? No but it satisfies the craving!

I decided to try out a new pho place but I wasn't impressed. The beef broth wasn't the best i've had...it had a weird sweet taste....it didn't taste authentic. the ingredients also weren't fresh k. The employees sit on the side tables by the wall for their lunch and as they wait for customers to come in...makes it kinda awkward for a customer. I saw one eating this lunch and i didn't want to interrupt him even though i needed something. They also don't clear the dirty plates ofd the table immediately when someone leaves. the table in front of it me and behind has been vacant for about 20 mins now but the table still hasn't been cleared. The ice machine lid has been kept open with the ice scoop inside of it...that's a heath code violation. oh yeah i'm chef ...so i Know. :-/ . Customer service needs improvement . Ambience is calm. also their peanut sauce was very watery...as if they added water to stretch it out. yuck I will not return.

Giant river prawns were the star and everyone's favorite dish. The banh hoi with butter sauce combination was delicious, I would definitely come here again just for that dish. That being said, the other dishes were not worth the price. Total bill was $280 for 3 dishes including tax and 18% tip.

The noodles are delicious, the broth is rich yet not greasy, and the beef slices are incredibly tender and smooth. It is almost impossible to find any flaws. If I had to point out one area that could be improved, it would probably be the choice of beef chunks. They are still very tender, but the texture feels just a little dry at times. Even so, this small issue does not take away from the overall experience. Overall, I highly recommend this modern pho restaurant. They also offer many other dishes with great value for the price. Strongly recommended to everyone.

But their signature spicy beef has a very unique and addictive quality to it. Be forewarned - the chili oil the beef is bathed in is no laughing matter. We used to get warnings for the works to spoon in the chili oil a little at a time as it is a slow but powerful burn. But that's not what has be coming back. My go-to here is, of course, the tsukemen. As a self-proclaimed ramen purists - keep the onsen egg and medium rare pork. All I need is a dank broth with some perfectly (maybe slightly tooth) al dente noodles. While the tsukemen here might not be for everyone , it totally hits the spot for me. The unique taste of the dipping broth is one which can only be found here, as well as their noodles which have their own size and consistency. Don't get me wrong, all their other offerings are pretty good too. In particular I like the mazesoba. Recently they also hatched a new limited duck tsukemen. As tough as it was to pry me away from the original or the soupless ramen, I was convinced by staff this would be enjoyable - and it was. Super light but complex. This had a rich and earthy flavor whole also being light and, fragrant with yuzu. Service here is exceptionally friendly but also rigid. Items tend to come as they are with little to no flexibility for adjustments, but they'll let you know very nicely. Overall taishoken makes the short list of bay area ramen spots for me, in particular when craving their rich & hearty tsukemen that'll be sure to satisfy any ramen craving, but even in hot weather. Besides that, taishoken has a particular spirit it carries, one that I recognized even from spotting their original location on Tony Bourdain's earlier "no reservations" episodes. It's a subtle but confident attitude - one that says I understand you like things a certain way, but trust us. For any diners willing to accept those terms, they will be greatly rewarded.
