It was such a lovely place. Very spacious and great lighting. We were able to seat ourselves because it wasn't busy at all! Everything came out within 15 minutes. The Pho itself was perfect, along with the spring rolls. The broth wasn't too hot, so it was ready to eat! The peanut sauce that went along with the Spring Rolls was so delicious. Definitely recommend for a chill dinner with loved ones.

We arrived around 8pm and they mentioned that they were only doing take-out. Which is totally fine since it was mentioned before we ordered and paid. Our cashier was very sweet and patient while we sat down and looked at the menu. We ordered a banh mi and rice dish which came out very fast, around 10 minutes. The ambiance is very clean with lots of seating. I can see it being nice for couples, small groups, or large groups. Cơm Đặc Biệt 4/5 Everything was cooked well and flavorful but it felt like it was missing some key elements. There was no fish sauce, which I feel like an important part of this dish. Not sure if this is different for dine-in though. The portion was on the smaller side considering the price ($24). It's pretty pricey even by Seattle standards IMO. Great plating and presentation though. Admittedly, it is called 'Phố' so maybe I should've gotten phổ instead of a rice dish

We have been waiting for this place to open in the strip mall by Safeway for months! They had their grand opening last weekend and my kid and the BFF tried to go but there was a long wait so they gave up and went to sushi. Determined, last night (5/2) we gave it another shot and called in takeout at 6:00ish. They estimated 45-60 minutes to get food ( it was more like 90) but we aren't mad, just happy to have them. We got pho ga ( chicken), pho chin nam ( beef things), grilled pork spring rolls, and a grilled pork banh mi. Everything was fresh and delicious. The peanut sauce with the salad rolls was really good. The pork in the rolls was a little chewy. I liked my banh mi a lot, the baguette was lovely, but it could have used a little more meat and there was no daikon radish which is my favorite part. I think we will be frequenting this place a lot. We love pho. A few locals have commented on the cost, pho is around $20-22, banh mi was $12, but I think that is just how things are between the economy and being in a tourist beach town. ( shrug). They did have some kind of special last night so we got $10 off which helps. We will be back!

Amazing service !! Beef Stew, pho and Bánh mì so DELICIOUS !!!! Best Bánh mì I've ever had so far !! The meat in the beef stew was so tender so good !!! So happy for pho on the coast!! (:

The food overall is good. The stew and bánh mi were tasty. The pho seemed fresh but the broth had a flavor I'm not used to compared to Los Angeles restaurants. Four stars for taste and location but not a fifth because the prices are much higher than I'm used to in LA. But maybe that's because there is little competition in this area. Would I come back? For the taste, yes.

Very nice and clean restaurant with friendly staff. Pho combination was good, was not sweet or heavy in msg flavor at all. The shrimp spring rolls were also good. The Vietnamese ice coffee was very traditional and strong, so ask for additional condensed milk if you need to sweeten it more, but it we perfect for me.

It was originally in a small eatery on the bay but we prefer it's current location at the north end of Newport because there is more room than at the previous location Gentleman wait staff was quick and efficient. Very pleasant and yet not chatty. My husband ordered the Special Seafood Pot as usual. That is his favorite dish and it did not disappoint. The delicious broth flavored mussels, shrimp, rockfish, clams, oysters, and scallops. His hot and sour soup was quite good, and fairly hot spice-wise. I had vegetable low mein, fried shrimp, crab rangoon and an egg roll. It was probably the best low mein I've ever had. The noodles were so flavorful and delicious. Veg included green beans, carrots, bean sprouts and cabbage. The rangoon was my favorite kind, with cream cheese and imitation crab. Though some people prefer real crab, I don't and prefer imitation. The only complaint I had was that I thought my Arnold Palmer tea was abysmal. It tasted like powdered lemonade meets powdered tea. As always, we enjoyed dinner and will continue to make Kam Meng's our #1 go-to spot for dinner when we are in Newport and wanting something other than fried seafood.

We've visited Beach Wok a few times over the years, and each time we've found it to be fresh and of good quality. However, on our most recent visit, we discovered that half of our dishes were dry and partially inedible. The main issue with our to-go order was the ribs. For my kids, I ordered the BBQ ribs. At least half were too dry and tough to eat without posing a choking risk. For myself, I placed an order for the gluten-free sweet and sour ribs. Mine were at least 3/4 too dry to eat, to the point I was trying to drink water while chewing in order to get the meat soft enough to swallow. It just wasn't worth the risk or pain in my jaw so I ended up throwing away most of the two rib orders. My husband's fish and chips were fine, as well as the cucumber salad, edamame, and a grilled cheese I also ordered for the kids. I was planning on ordering from Beach Wok a second night, but with the prices as high as they are and our bad experience a few nights earlier, I decided against it. I'm undecided if we'll be returning to Beach Wok again. 2026 #1

They have a small space but they also have covered outdoor seating as well. They were doing a brisk take out business when we were there for lunch on a weekday. All in all a solid meal and then some. I had the bún (rice noodles) with grilled chicken and charred prawns. The first bite was good: prawns were excellent, lightly cooked, moist with a smoky sweet char. The second bite included nicely herbed noodles with fresh, good quality lettuce, mint and cilantro. The third bite, and majority of the dish unfortunately, contained overcooked, chewy chicken. The fish sauce mixture lacked birds eye chili, acid and seasoning. Dry chicken dominated, but ironically components that require more delicate treatment were prepared well. The fried spring rolls (cha gio) were greasy, missing that blistered, bubbly skin.. My companion ordered a strawberry matcha and the vegetarian bún: nice and herby and green, but lacking that good flavor (chili, acid) in the Nước Chấm fish sauce. It shouldn't be solely up to sriracha to get a dish to the right flavors. In all, a nice spot aesthetically and friendly staff but while dishes had super fresh veg and some solid proteins, other proteins were overcooked and our dishes were missed some of the flavors we love to see in Vietnamese food.
