It was really very disappointing and pretty expensive. This time we got: - potstickers ( you can choose fried or steamed). Fried, good, 8 in an order, nice dipping sauce. - pork ribs, tasty, comes with veg and rice. Slightly bbq sauced. They could have been more caramelized by a pop under the broiler for a couple minutes just sayin'. - chicken pad see ew- chicken was sooo dryyy, a little sparse, some nicely cooked regular broccoli, also sparse, but it tasted good and was not super oily. - tom kha tofu ( hold the mushrooms). Kid liked it,and ordered a side of jasmine rice (it was so tiny) to put in it. Rice was perfect. - A tiny cup of peanut sauce for almost $4.Tasty but crazy price come on. - Thai iced tea for kid - proclaimed good. I don't like Thai iced tea so I will believe him. This was a better experience for round #2. The servings are not quite as generous as we were used to from other Thai places, but we still had leftovers for lunch. And it was a tad expensive. I'm getting tired of the restaurant rice situation in this town and just going to start using my rice cooker more and keeping cooked rice on hand. Shrinkflation is a real thing. My experience here was good, came here two days in a row! Food was amazing, service was also great, Aiyana & Maxwell treated us great, fast, and detailed service. Pad thai was amazing, on the sweeter side, so beware of that (i love sweet so it was good for me). The food was very good and fresh. It just was not the big wow factor thai flavor that we were expecting coming from big Thai restaurants in Portland but it was still very good very fresh. The only complaint my wife had was she ordered the mango chicken and she thought it tasted a little fishy, but I've had mango chicken several times before and I have found that sometimes this can happen with the mango. I tasted it. It wasn't overly abundant of fish, but she's pretty sensitive to those things so other than that everything was excellent service was great. Environment was very cute. I'll start by saying the food is excellent! When we showed up on a Saturday in April there was only one person working doing both back and front of the house. We were prepared and warned that there could be a bit of a wait for the food. It turns out 1) there wasn't much a wait at all because he was so efficient and 2) if there was a wait, it would've been worth it for how delicious the food was. They know what they're doing! They probably don't want to set a precedent but I mentioned that I was on the search for an amazing Khao Soi (which isn't even on the menu) and he checked the back for the ingredients and cooked it up for me! Great food, Larb was perfect had it 3 times, had the crab special, chicken satay, peanut sauce etc. All cooked by "Mom." What she doesn't probably know was when I went to pick up large order the guy in front tells me our system is down so we are doing it the old fashion way. Your total is 119.54. I said ok let me see the bill, of course he added 15% gratuity for the pick up order without telling me. Then he gives me the credit card slip, which I know would have been the scam for a double tip. I did not tip again and signed with the extra tip crossed out. I just looked at my credit card charge and the guy put on another tip and now my total is $135.40 , which I am now disputing with Chase. This was literally the best Thai food we've had in years! We had drunken noodles, curry, and crying tiger beef, along with the fried calamari and potstkckers. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked/seasoned. Leftover curry & rice made an excellent breakfast LOL We found ample seating. Service was attentive enough, but there was only one server. We popped into this restaurant on a stormy weekend and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious! I'm not sure why people complain about the pricing because they were lower than I expected with decent portion sizes. My husband and I decided to share all of what we ordered egg rolls, Tom kha (which was our favorite), Red Curry, and drunken noodles. We the drunken noodles were the perfect texture with lots of flavor. The Tom Kha was light and tangy. We ordered a Thai ice tea and a Thai coffee both were sweet and refreshing. We had a good experience at Best Thai. My dish mom stalag was one of my favorite Thai dishes I've ever had. I've got no complaints about this dish. I also really like how stuffed their crab puffs were, and the peanut sauce was tasty! My wife's Pad Thai was good, but not the best she's had, it was on par/average. Still tasty, but could have been better. Our son got the Orange Chicken, which was good, but also 3rd to the others he has tried. The Thai iced tea was normal. The coconut ice cream was yummy, the egg roll cheesecake was good, but the texture of the cheesecake wasn't quite as smooth as we would have liked. Service was good, the young lady that took our order, and greeted us was new, super friendly, and sought answers for my questions if she didn't know. The food came out somewhat sporadically, but was all hot. We had to ask for plastic ware. After a long day of walking and beaching, this place just hits different. It's not hard to find as it's just off the main town road in a bright pink building. You can choose to sit in or call in take out which is what we did. We got pad see ew which had a delicious flavor! We wished there was more beef to share but it was still very filling as we both shared it. The service was alright but they were busy so we gave them that. Why do Thai restaurants have to have unoriginal names. It's really hard to keep them straight and Lincoln city has a lot in a small radius. However I will definitely remember this as being the Best. Steamed dumplings were pretty good. I'm not sure about the sauce. It's a little too strong. Maybe it's a Thai thing. The wife loved the mango stir fry. Our only complaint that there was not enough rice. You could seriously eat that sauce to accompany a whole pot of rice. I love pad Thai. However I've been cursed with mediocre pad Thai for quite a while. But this one is the best. It is sweet, pungent and all kinds of goodness. My favorite in all the land. And I've had a lot. I wasn't expecting much from this place for a couple of reasons: 1) none of the wait staff appears to be Thai. I'm not saying this to be some sort of culinary racist, but when it comes to ethnic food,I have to admit, it's more comforting to see workers that are of the same ethnicity as the food. And, 2) this place is called 'Best Thai'. I figure any restaurant that has to call themselves 'best' is only doing so because their food doesn't do it for them. I guess sorta like how some dudes have to loudly declare themselves as 'alpha' because there's no other indication. I've been to places named 'Best Teriyaki' and 'Best Auto Care' asking others and they were all completely horrible. Anyway, I digress. I found out from a fellow Yelper that this place is called Best not about the quality of the food but instead because the owner's name is Best! Would never have guessed that. But ya, this place really is great. I don't know if I'd probably consider it the 'Best', but they're definitely way up there in my personal Thai food rankings. I've tried the pad Thai, prik king (spicy string beans), and pad Kee mao, and each one has been terrific. Even the appetizers I've tried like the potstickers and chicken wings have been superb. I go here pretty much anytime I stay in the Lincoln City area. Along with the food, the prices are reasonable and the wait staff is always very friendly. The meat we got in the noodles was cooked perfectly and tender, but the noodles were a little sticky and it wasn't saucy enough for me . The Basil Fried rice and Green curry were my favorite. The crab Rangoon was a little different, but still good. It felt like it was wrapped in a flour tortilla instead of a wonton wrapper. We went into Best Thai at around 1:00 pm on a Saturday, and we were welcomed into a cute little space filled with personality. The portion size was huge, and the flavor was packed. Both of the curries had large chunks of potatoes that soaked up the flavor, and it was perfectly cooked! Pad Thai comes with a house-made base, and it was delicious. The vegetables are cooked in, which was good, but I prefer my veggies on the side. The guy who served us was extremely friendly and provided helpful advice on what protein would pair best with the dishes. If you're in Lincoln City and craving Thai, this is the only place to go! This place isn't fancy but Thai restaurants usually aren't. We loved it. The food was outstanding which dining is all about after all.. Our server was the owner and his mother is the cook. We had Pineapple Rice with shrimp and chicken, plus Pad Prik Pow with added eggplant. Our bill came to $39 plus tip. (No sales tax in Oregon).
