Just went to this Pho Ha, where we come very often. The customer service is never been good, today was even worse. I ordered beef sandwich, maybe the worst Vietnamese sandwich I've ever had. Once I opened the bag only the beef and a couple slices inside the French bread. So I went inside to ask maybe they can bring it in and fix it and add some cilantro and carrots and give it back to me. NO, he asked if I wanted carrot. I said yes. It just made you feel like it's your fault to go back inside asking to fix an incomplete order. He went inside the kitchen came back out with a bag of carrot and handed to me without even looking or apologizing, nothing. Will never come back again. Pho Ha has many locations in the IE and I consider them one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the Inland Empire. This location recently got renovated and I've been back, most recently, twice in the last week! First off, this Pho Ha is located on Alessandro Blvd. between Perris Blvd. and Heacock St. in Moreno Valley. It's in a sketchy part of town but don't let the location deter you from checking this place out! When you arrive, you have to wait to be seated but, with that said, you also can choose where you'd like to sit once you've made eye contact with the host/server. Once you're seated, you get to select from their menu. One of my pet peeves are misspelled words on a menu -- no big deal because I didn't come here to spell-check but to eat delicious food. Now, Pho Ha offers a variety of dishes like other Vietnamese restaurants from pho to rice dishes, noodles, Bahn Mi, and smoothies. My absolute favorite dish here has always been #47: Bun Thit Nuong (BBQ Grilled Pork Vermicelli). It's basically a BBQ Pork Salad with Rice Noodles, or Pho sub broth with rice noodles. Hands-down this is my all-time favorite, go-to Vietnamese dish but I particularly love the one served at Pho Ha! Just imagine a bowl of rice noodles and crispy, chopped romaine lettuce topped with tangy do chua (pickled carrot and daikon), mouthwatering BBQ grilled pork, cold and crunchy cucumbers, refreshing mint leaves and sprigs of cilantro, a side of crunchy peanuts for texture, and drizzled with Nuoc Cham (sweetened fish sauce). I could care less for the rice noodles as I usually have lots left over but the flavors and textures are phenomenal! I also love their #40: Cha Gio (Vietnamese Fried Egg Rolls). The egg rolls here are delicious if eaten correctly. You've got to wrap this hot egg roll with romaine lettuce, cucumber, do chua, mint, cilantro, and dunk it in nuoc cham! Among other items I have enjoyed are: * Oxtail Pho - so generous with the oxtail! * Rare Steak Pho - I'm basic when it comes to Pho but this is always good! * Sautéed Shrimp, Pork, Chicken over Crispy Egg Noodles * #39: Bo Luc Lac - Pho Ha makes this really good! * Banh Mi Thit Nuong (however, not a fan of their bread because it's more tough-to-chewy ratio). They have vegetarian options here but I wouldn't recommend it for vegans, as a lot of dishes do have fish sauce. The servers are pretty attentive, as they are always walking around refilling water cups, asking if everything is okay. Service is friendly. There are a lot of seating in this restaurant but I have seen it packed, especially when the weather is cold. It's a little tight if you're bringing in a baby stroller or wheelchair but they do have tables in the middle of the restaurant where someone with a wheelchair can sit comfortably. They also have booths that they've replaced. It's so much better than the former booths. Overall, this is my go-to spot for Bun Thit Nuong! It's what got me to try other delicious dishes as well! I recommend trying this place out with a group so you can try a variety of dishes! You may find something that will be your new favorite!! read more

The staff are very nice and attentive. Pho prices are reasonable- $14.50 for a bowl of pho. The food was great and my boyfriend and I enjoyed our time here- we would definitely come back. The pho is delicious, nice broth, the meat is as you would expect it- not super tender and soft but it's what you would expect for the great price. I really enjoyed this place. I was on vacation for my birthday and on this day I found myself looking for a place to stop and grab something to eat. I'd never had pho in California, only in Buffalo where I live, so I was curious to find out if it would be somewhat similar or very different. I was pleased to find it almost exactly the same! Taste and presentation were almost identical. Every chef makes their pho broth a tiny bit different but it's all pho. I walked in and was immediately greeted, which is appreciated. Within 5 minutes I was seated at a table. It took a few minutes for a server to come over to my table which I found curious because they weren't terribly busy. My server was very nice, although he made an awkward joke when I asked if I could have extra limes. He flatly responded "No." and then just stared at me. After a few seconds he smiled and said he was only kidding. I could tell he was trying to be cute so it was okay. When the food came it was hot! I was glad because I can't stand lukewarm soup. All the utensils I needed such as chopsticks and soup spoons were on the table so that was nice. The food was pretty good and the service was fine too, so I would definitely go back. read more

I put in my order, and my waiter literally brought it right out. The prices were good. I ordered a regular soup, and it was enough to share. The decor was nice. The restaurant was nice and clean. Food was alright, nothing spectacular or fantastic. I had to try out this restaurant because I truly love the Pho Ha in Fontana but since I was in the area, decided to stop by for a family dinner on Friday evening. The flavors were no where similar to the restaurant in Fontana, it was honestly just average. They are currently offering indoor dining with social distancing between tables. The service was unpleasant, no one checked on us to refill water. We had to chase down one of the workers to let them know we really needed more water. I understand they were probably busy and under staffed but at least have someone check each table every so often especially for water/drinks, I mean that's what tips are for in my opinion. Would I come back? Most likely not, at least not until they hire more people and advance in their customer service. read more

It is my first time here and i was absolutely shocked that this place has 3.5 stars. I don't know what others experienced but all i tasted was amazing food. I had the beef stew pho and egg rolls and my partner had seafood pho. All were amazing. Clean table. Clean sauce tray. Clean utensils. Clean restroom. Smiling servers. Today was my last time going to this place. Every single time I place an online order here and go to pick it up, I'm asked for my receipt before they give me my order. And I'm pretty sure its because I'm Black. On its surface something like this appears innocent enough to those who like to think that racist incidents like this don't happen all the time. People have been known to steal orders from Doordash and Grubhub and they're checking to see whether the order you placed is yours or not. But none of that makes sense. For one, for me to be able to steal an order, I'd have to give them a name and hope that they'd have an order in the back with the same name. And if they're stupid enough to hand me an order based only on me saying "I placed an online order" without giving them a name, then they shouldn't be in business. None of that is the case here. Every time I've gone in with an order I've placed online and given my name, I'm asked for a receipt. Why? Why would you need to see the receipt for an order that I've already paid for? The order is ready - it wouldn't have gotten made if I hadn't paid, simply give me my food so I can leave. But they won't have to worry about getting business from me again. I refuse to patronize a place that conducts business based on who a person is. And it sucks to that say that because the food here is actually good, but its not worth it if this is how they're going to be. read more

It's San Bernardino and not Bolsa. Should I expect the food quality to be different? Of course so I have to rate based on the location and compared it to other Vietnamese restaurants around the area. I was craving bun thit nuong. I checked out the Yelp reviews and they were positive. I've been to another Pho Ha so I figure the taste should be consistent. Keep in mind my review is only for bun thit nuong and nothing else. Decor. It's nicely decorated, clean and modern. The restroom is clean. Service. Can you really expect any real service from a Vietnamese restaurant? Do we tip at Carl's Jr when they bring our food out to us afterward? No. So why do we have to tip when they just bring out our food? They literally don't ever come back to see if we need more water. They provide no service and yet we continue to tip. I'm going off a bit here because what I heard really bothered me. Granted, I was probably the only Vietnamese person at the restaurant at that time, but the workers there were just cussing up a storm. I've been around sailors. These workers made the sailors look like saints. They were dropping the DM word left and right. Wow! Anyway, let's get back to the food. Bun Thit Nuong. It was underwhelming. The pork wasn't marinated well. I paid $2.50 more for egg rolls and I got one. Yes, one stinking egg roll for $2.50. If it was the best egg roll I've ever eaten, maybe it would justify it. But it wasn't. The vegetables were lacking. They only had salad and beansprouts. Where's the tia to or mint? But what really bring it down a notch is the fish sauce. It was just a bit too salty and not sweet enough. I'm a bit picky here but if the sauce is used for dipping, you can make it salty. If it's used for pouring, it has to be a bit sweeter. Overall, I would have given it a 2.5 star for the bun thit nuong, but because the decor is nice and the restroom is clean, it brought it up to a three star. read more

The food was decent and the prices were okay for the Riverside area, however, the behaviors on display by the staff left me so upset I didn't tip and will never go back. The first issue is that I ordered a #88 (drink with red and green beans, only to not get any and they added boba without my permission for a fee, when I inquired about this they said the drink had been changed but the menu had not yet been updated to reflect this, I asked why I wasn't informed of this when I ordered and the staff didn't respond. Normally that would be a 4 star review, however, I witnessed another issue while at the restaurant, another customer came in after picking up an order earlier to mention that a part of their order was missing, the staff began to argue with him aggressively accusing him of not ordering said item, the customer insisted he did and the staff didn't relent until he pulled out his receipt to prove it. After they gave him the item and the customer left the staff began to argue and point in the direction of the customer who left, and though they were speaking another language their body language and shifts in tone betrayed their mockery of said customer. The most heinous act though was some racist behavior that was on display toward an African American child who came in who wished to buy a Sprite. The staff spoke to him in a very aggressive and dismissive tone that immediately caught my attention, this little kid came in to purchase some Sprite and the staff were immediately yelling at him that they don't serve Sprite, so this innocent kid asked for some water and ice with a lime instead, the staff gave him water with no ice and when he asked for the lime they yelled that lime was for paying customers only. I was so flabbergasted by this disrespect that I didn't tip and quickly paid for my meal to get out of there, I likely would have told them off if it wasn't for my party being there, so in the interest of not making it awkward for everyone I just told everyone we weren't staying any longer and that we were all going to leave and I never planned to come back. I wish I said something while that poor kid was there, the staff were wrong to act this way and I hope they lose business. read more

Ive been coming here for 8 years. Ive never had a bad dinning experience till our dinner tonight. I ordered the large seafood pho, two orders of spring rolls a Thai tea with Boba and two spring rolls to go. For some reason this new girl that they hired didn't understand what I was ordering. I had to repeat myself four times and then after she took our order The management reminded her just use the iPad to take people's orders. So they brought us the Thai tea with no Boba and a lot of ice. They brought us one order of the spring rolls and the pho so I had to ask about the other order and then they finally brought it out with we had to ask other servers for stuff that we needed because our server didn't visit us again until I had to go up to the front and ask for our bill, which she brought us the wrong bill and kept trying to say it was the right bill so I sent her to go check our orders again and she finally brought us the correct bill. read more

I called in a order for pickup. When I was done talking to the worker, I asked if they needed a name. He replied "No!"...When we went to pick up the food. The same guy took forever to get out food and acted like he didn't know who we were. We had to remind him that he said no when we asked if he wanted our name. The inside of the restaurant was filthy. There were empty containers of sauce. We were trying to get extra sauces to go. The table was sticky and gross. This restaurant should be called HA. Their sign outside didn't have the PHO part illuminated. We've been coming here on and off for several years, but it seems like they have gotten worse. They are rude and act entitled. Try not to go on a rainy day, it's when it's most busy and when you will get really bad service. Food is okay, nothing great about it.
