I only agreed to go here after checking if they had pho shrimp on their menu, and indeed they had it on there. Arrived after a late badminton session. It was a weekday and already late, so I was fine with just going home. However, I took the extra miles to drive over here only to be told they no longer serve shrimp and said I was looking at an old menu. Since I wasn't just looking at an old photo of the menu someone posted, I showed them their active menu on yelp and suggested they should update their menu. I then asked if they had anything without meat and his answer was white rice. You gotta be kidding me? Lol. My friend had to dig the menu a bit more to realize they serve pho noodles only as an option. When it comes to pho, I am not too picky if its cooked in bone broth, so I went ahead and ordered that because a bowl of plain rice at 11pm didn't seem appetizing and was wasted calories. 2 stars for the mediocre service and pho. I will never be convinced to come here again.

Been a while since my last visit many years ago. The place gets packed to a full house during lunch rush on weekends. Dined outside as I had no choice. Environment setting would be little casual hood food dining. Service is good -everyone has a role with whether it be taking orders, bringing out drinks, ensuring all essentials are provided. The look on the staffs faces assure that they actually care to be there. They only have bottled water for a 1.00 which I opted to get Iced Tea instead. Ordered Number 2 (Combo Pho) Small size Pros -They pile on a lot of meat! Mostly flank , 2 bits of tai, and 3 quarter sized meatballs. Ended up discarding some brisket as I was that full. Taste - The pho broth was good and reminds me of home style pho with a little bit extra effort. Herbs/Extras - Plenty of fresh produce to add. Beansprouts are steamed cooked by default. They provide fat stack of napkins which is a plus because that's a "W" in my book. Price is pretty fair and justified. This could make top 10 -15 as there's so many pho joints in OC that are just as consistent.

This pho good. Easiest bit I've ever done. This pho is unironically good. There I go again . Broth was good . Portions were good . Servers were good .

The Portion is big compare to other places, and a lot of meat in the bowl. We got served by a lady waitress, she Was very friendly and humorous The Broth always smell great. Ambience is okay, which I did not really care, but the Pho

Pho Good is true to its name! We got the small and large size combination phos and it was super affordable. The phos came with a lot of meat and the broth was very homemade tasting! Super yummy and will definitely come back. Service is quick and the place is clean. It's open late too which is a big plus.

Pho Good has easily climbed the ranks for me in terms of pho. The soup has lots of depth and flavor, they give you tons of protein, and they open late. What's not to love? Pho good has seen me at my worst and best. I've come here with friends, family, and even solo. I order the Pho Nam Gau, it's my personal favorite. I like the amount of meat to fat. Order Hanh Dam (Pickled Onions) and Mo Hanh (Onion in Oil) and put sriracha on the Hanh Dam. I eat both of those with my meat. It adds a nice kick and freshness to each bite. Service is always good and the food comes out fast. The restaurant has plenty of seating. I don't think I've ever had to wait. I highly recommend trying Pho Good.

Came in super late after karaoke one night and this pho really hit the spot. Broth was super flavorful and was served pipping hot which is my favorite. Even though it was late they had a lot of employees and the place was pretty full. They did not bring my extra onion or lime as requested twice so I took off a star for that. Overall a great late night option

Was pho good even good?!? Yes it was! I know the name actually turn me off but my niece said to go here and ok, I'll try it. Entered at 11:30am on a Tuesday and there were a few table already taken. We sat down and were given menus right away. Of course we had to order pho and it did not disappoint at all. Love the large noodle option. Broth was amazing and rich. I asked for a small plate of pickled onions. All came out quite fast. Instead of tap water, they sell bottled water for $1 per bottle. Not bad at all. Service was quick and we got to enjoy our pho on a chilly day. I will definitely come back.

Noodles are delicious and prices are very affordable! Comes with a huge plate of bean sprouts, lemon, basil, jalapeño. Thai tea was very rich and aromatic. Service was good and food came quick.

The pho broth here is warm, rich and savory! Try this hidden gem before people find it and prices go up. This is only half the large size bowl that is about $15 and it's plentiful in tender beef cuts. The flavor is authentic and they give you plenty of herbs and sprouts. My new favorite pho spot in Garden Grove, especially for the value!

$1 for small cup of water , over charged customers !

Pho Good can confirm it is wasn't good like the name ! Food: I ordered HOUSE SPECIAL PHO $15.50 the big bowl with a lot of meat . and THE COMBO PHO $13.75 was the same , It's big portions. But after eating this phở I'm really thirsty and headache because of MSG too much. I can't stand restaurants that won't supply regular drinking tap water and they want to force you to buy bottle water. I told them I just want 2 cups of water they charged me a tiny glasses of water for $1 that's never happened in another phở restaurant around . Another places they're free water, tea , some places give free dessert. Service: Extremely slow. Would not recommend if you are on a schedule. I have to wait so long to get my food. The restaurant was clean and a lot of parking spaces in the area. !

My nail technician wouldn't stop talking about this place and she swore it was her local go to pho spot, so I figured I had to see what the hype was about. I went in during brunch time and it was steady traffic and they had a consistent flow of people coming in. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a really friendly lady. She was smiley and welcoming, which already set a good tone. Menus were handed out right away, no waiting around. I ordered the small house special pho and the portion size surprised me. It was a lot for a small. I also added ox tendon on the side and that came out huge too. Everything was generous. The meat portions, noodles, and especially the side veggies. You're not left feeling like they're shorting you on anything here. The meat was tender, easy to eat, and the broth was decent. It's one of those spots that just makes sense as a local go to. Overall, I can see why people in the area keep on coming back. It's a solid mom and pop pho spot that does exactly what it needs to do. Warm, comforting, and hits the spot!

I came here a few days ago, and it was my first time. The aroma of the soup lingered outside in the parking lot area. I had to try it out. On the menu I saw there was (ox Tail) pho, so I decided to order it. I will be very honest the portions are big for the price. But I've tried ox tail that was better. The service was great. Food was amazing. Wasn't too busy when I went. Service was fast. Interior was clean. Only thing is though is that in the Resturant there isn't any air. So it's warm inside while you are dining in. Great place to come to late night if you're craving pho.

The servers are aunties that won't check on you after every bite but will come over the second you raise your hand. I took my mom for lunch and we dug in a little too quick - photos were snapped after we've made a small dent on the food. We got the Seolleongtang and soondae platter which was plenty to share between two people. We ended up taking half of the soondae platter home and enjoying it for breakfast the day after. For those not familiar with Seolleongtang, the soup comes out very basic. You're given a bucket of scallions, a little pot of salt, and shaker of ground pepper to season the broth as you please. I recommend adding a few spoonfuls of the radish kimchi sauce. Speaking of the banchan, Jong Ro prepares some of the freshest and most flavorful banchans on the street. I wish they offered a menu option that was just a bowl of rice and bottomless banchan. The soondae was perfectly springy, paired with a salted shrimp sauce and flavored salt dip. The platter also came with boiled (or steamed?) pork belly, pig ear, and other pork innards that were nicely cooked. I love restaurants like this because they are simply good at what they do. Nothing is over-the-top. There is always a constant stream of customers. The times I've gone have been during your typical slow hours and the place was always 60% full. I imagine the house is full during dinner time or on weekends and rightfully so. Definitely stop by if you're looking for a heartwarming and belly filling comfort meal.

Grandpa's Kitchen…read more I've been a longtime customer because their Phnom Penh-style hu tieu has always been very good. They were actually one of the first places around to serve this style of noodles, and I've enjoyed it for many years. However, over time, I feel like the quality isn't quite the same as it used to be. Maybe the prices are a little lower now, but the portions also seem noticeably smaller. I recently stopped by in the evening for some snacks. The atmosphere was open, casual, and lively, although both the service and the food seemed a little slow coming out. The balut was way too big for me, so I honestly couldn't really eat it. But the grilled blood cockles were large, fresh, and very juicy, which I really enjoyed. The restaurant itself is small, but it feels airy and comfortable. They also have outdoor seating, which is especially nice in the evening when the weather is cool. Overall, I still have a soft spot for Grandpa's Kitchen because I've been coming here for a long time. I just wish the food quality and portions were more like they used to be.

The side of "salad" (a small plate of lettuce and tomato slices) was also nice to have. I ate it with a lot of the pickled garlic. Definitely a filling meal. The restaurant has a lot of seating, but it can get a bit warm. We were seated near the door but were feeling the heat throughout our meal!
