We ordered take out. The spring rolls are totally boring and tasteless, the wrap smelled old, and àll that was inside was rice noodles, shredded lettuce, and a shrimp cut in half. The peanut sauce was rehydrated and thin and wouldn't stick to the food, just dripped off. The roll could have benefited from cilantro, marinated carrots, green onions, something with flavor. I also ordered the satay lettuce wrap. The warm meat was put in the to-go container on top of the lettuce, which by the time you get that home is a mushy mess that you can't use to roll the meat in. The meat itself was in a sweet marinade. It was topped with flavorful marinated carrots and a few bits of cilantro which were helpful in improving flavor. No satay sauce came with this item. It would have benefited from having the lettuce in a separate to-go container so that it was still cold and crispy by the time you get it home so that you can really wrap the meat in lettuce. My husband got bun with pork fried egg roll on rice noodles with the lemon grass sauce. He said it was a little bland but fine. Service was friendly and fast. There was one other person there getting take out. No customers in the restaurant other than that. Friday night at 6 p.m. They are going to have to up their game. 3 items/$35 before tip. read more

I have struggled with this place and getting my orders correct. For the third time in 3 months on my to go order my pork noodle bowl has been made with beef. This has occurred with spring rolls being veggie or one meat when I order the shrimp/pork. I appreciate the apology when I call, but no effort to make it right. The food was decent enough to keep me coming back, but the service and lack of accountability with multiple mistakes has sealed a no return deal. Shame because Vietnamese is one of my favorite meals and they are close. read more

Whenever I am in monument, I have to stop by and get my favorite lemongrass pho bowl. You don't find this flavor at anywhere but here. Overall all the food is amazingly delicious. I've frequented this restaurant often and love their PHO. However, I no longer dine in because the melamine tea pots and spoons look old and stained, and the other dinnerware doesn't appear clean. This could be due to a faulty dishwasher, but it does turn off my appetite. I also don't know why they're so stingy with napkins. If I ask for extra napkins, I get one. I hate to give bad reviews but this was awful. We ordered the bun and the beef looked and tasted like an attempt to rehydrate beef jerky. It had no flavor. The crab rangoons were tough and chewy and the egg rolls were terrible. We both felt ill after eating this and neither of us finished our meals. Very disappointing. read more

Hands down a great find! Friendly service, good food, and leaving with a full belly...all wins in my book! Busy and popular but retains the charm of a small family owned business. I really judge a place on Cafe Sua Da, Vietnamese iced coffee. For me,Vietnamese Iced coffee is strictly Cafe Dumond Chicory Coffee, condensed milk, and ice. Pho at its finest!! This team knows what they are doing! Meats are perfectly cooked from the rare steak to any of the seafood. Curry chicken rice plate is just like you've traveled to Asia. Here is another family business we must support and make sure it remains in Monument. Their specialty is Pho. For those of you who have never had Pho, you must know Asians of all ethnicities love Pho and seek out the best Pho in town. I was first introduced to Pho during college when my Asian friends took me to the only legit Pho place in Sacramento. Turned out that Pho is a brothy soup with rice noodles, bean sprouts, and super thin cuts of meat that cook in the broth the moment you place them in it. You season the soup with Sriracha, jalapeños, lime, and basil. When you scoop the noodles out of the soup you add a little Hoisin sauce to every bite. Well, Pho Brothers 2 has one of the best Phos I've had in the past 20 years. We are so lucky to have this place in Monument - yet another restaurant that adds to the richness of our town. Came back for another go tonight and we are sure glad we did. What a completely enjoyable experience. First tried the restaurant a couple years ago and went back once or twice out of location convenience. We confirmed with the waitress/manager tonight that there had been a management change and, wow. What a difference! Before it had just been so-so. Tonight, everything was on point. The service was fast and pleasant. The food was delicious and the tea was genuine loose leaf and wholly uplifting. The house made soy sauce was out of this world; fruity, spicy, and seemed like it had been aged/fermented to perfection. There is some pho that instantly makes you sigh in relief at how nourishing each taste feels as your body takes it in. Although I was not overtaken with this sensation in the first few sips, we left the restaurant with a delayed exhilaration of the comfort and invigoration of a well made pho. The spicy pork pho lived up to its name but not in an overpowering way. The Vietnamese style spicy pork was nutty with a jerky vibe and the spiciness was in the oils. Carrots cooked to be toothy but not crunchy. The chicken pho was textbook and all the add ons were fresh. The dumplings were so good we got three orders. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Not that I am a Pho chef or anything but the broth tasted a little ...aged. We had to send back two orders of the Rangoon before we gave up on the app. Rock hard. Literally. Thankfully my order wasn't ready anyhow (it hadn't even been confirmed actually eventhough the restaurant was entirely empty) so I just cancelled. Very clean. But Friday night at 6 and we are the only customers. The decor is warm and inviting. Not a Pho expert, so I don't have a huge basis to compare to others. I've had it twice before. Start with the soda. Coke products! Yea! But it's a can, and $1.95 a shot. Overpriced. Appetizer: chicken dumplings. Pho: rare steak and meatball: Wife had chicken. Dumplings were served with the Pho - don't know if they were homemade or frozen, but they were ok. My Pho. The meatballs were pretty rubbery, and fairly bland. Plenty of them. But won't order again. Steak was ok, but a little light in amount. The broth had a good flavor, and as noted by others, a little grease floating on top. To be expected with meatballs, but the chicken bowl had the same. Took the leftovers home and put in the fridge. In the morning, I was able to remove the excess fat that had solidified. Of the three trips to a Pho restaurant, this ranks #3, as the others had a little more variety and in one case, a choice of broths (heat and flavors). Not bad. Not awesome. Service was good.
