Coming from a Vietnamese person who knows pho, the broth was merely water , slightly bone broth, and fish sauce. It didn't have any aroma whatsoever and the heat was sliced twice the size. I read that there's no ownership and that the quality has gone down the drain. Since I ordered this through Uber eats it was the only option that was open at night. I'm currently traveling so I don't have bowls or utensils and the order came in a container and not the usually plastic bowl containers so it was really difficult to eat and I had to warn it up really hot in plastic just so the noodles would separate. The meat definitely couldn't be cooked in the broth because I didn't have a bowl to get the broth super hot. In addition I haven't really seen meat cut that thick. I think it's laziness. They need to cut it half as thin so that it can cook in the broth. If you aren't ordering from Uber eats I suggest getting pho at a more authentic viet restaurant like Bastilla Vietnamese in Lauderdale by the Sea.
The pho was really good! Noodles were cooked just right, but my favorite part was the broth! I wish they gave me more than two slices Jalapeno peppers. Check it out if you're close by because the food came out fast and hot!!!
I dined here last week and really enjoyed the food here!! It's very authentic Vietnamese food. No fake sauce the way other places make the pho in the United States. The restaurant is decorated so cute that although a hole in the wall in a shopping center, the place looks super cute in the inside We ordered the soup that brings multiple protein and shared between us (a large). It was seasoned so well but fresh. Not heavy. Did not make my stomach hurt after like many heavy soups. Also the portion was HUGE!!! We shared and took some home for lunch the next day. We also ordered an appetizer which was delicious as well. I really liked this place and will be coming back!!!
I came here last night with my wife because she was feeling a little under the weather and wanted something light to eat. I surprised her here and she loved it!! The restaurant is very cute - decorated very nicely. Although not in the best shopping center, you really cannot tell you are in an okay neighborhood because the restaurant is like it's own oasis. The food was amzzing!!! So authentic. We ordered the pork and shrimp rice paper appetizer and it was delicious. It came with a peanut sesame oil sauce which was very very good. We then ordered the #1 soup which was a combo of everything. We ordered the large to share and let me tell you that I didn't know they could make soups this large. We even had leftover to take home with us. The soup was refreshing but filling. The protein was delicious and so was the actual soup. We loved it. We will be coming back. So happy to live close by!
Tell me why a "rice platter" costs over $20 for me to get white rice?? Years we have been coming here, and the rice platter always comes standard with fried rice. Today, I received my rice platter, and it has white rice. When I asked to clarify the mistake, they were wanting to charge me $2 more for fried rice. On top of the $20 over high price. How ridiculous. I will NEVER return. You just officially lost a couple of customers that had been loyal for years. I am so disappointed and disgusted at the way my husband and I were just treated. Horribly overpriced food. NEVER AGAIN.
TLDR: Better as takeout than going to the place. Flavor hits. Real nice. Would I go again: Yes Food: the banh mi's are on point, pho and bun Bo hue have great flavors, and the egg rolls real scrumptious. Service: If you want someone super attentive this is not the place. They leave the food and go take care of other things. That being said, if you don't like having someone on top of you the whole meal then it's great. Ambiance: The shop has been remodeled and looks nicer. However, the plaza can be a bit sketch which gives the location kind of a spooky vibe.
Staff not at all inviting and didn't pay much attention to me. It seemed as if he wanted me order takeout instead of dining in. I watched him greet several other patrons warmly, with smiles, and briefly chat with them. Interesting..I was only asked if I was ready after his conversation was interrupted by the patrons requesting more water at the table next to me. I looked over at him several times prior to that waiting for him to come take my order. He then advised there was no milk tea at all and said I can take a look at the drinks in the cooler. None of these drinks are in English so it would have been nice if he let me know what was what. But, I just took my chances. Hopefully I like whatever this is. Looks like brisk. Food came out quickly! The front doors need to be fixed or something. I was sat at table 2 near the front door and a guy started smoking outside. I could smell it with the door closed. Gross. The spring rolls were okay. The pork inside was dry and over cooked. Loved the peanut sauce though. I was prepared to say I would never come back to this place, but then I tried the pho. It was absolutely delightful!!! I loved it. I would for sure order here again, but for takeout only. The food gets five stars. But, the customer service gets two stars from me. Really 1.5 for customer service.
Only Pho spot open late. So good! I ordered the P06 pho and it was nice and filling. I had to ask for cilantro since they didn't bring it out with my toppings. I added chili oil to mine and it was so potent! I was coughing (everyone was, but like in a good way) it was so good. The shrimp wraps were perfectly crispy and the shrimp was juicy it was really delicious. Not to mention the restaurant was really chill. It wasn't too busy when I went, but it was like 10 pm. I loved the plants at the entrance! And the table was nice and clean. Will definitely be going back.
I haven't had Vietnamese food in a while. I saw Pho 75 and decided to try it. My favorite dish is anything with Vermicelli rice noodles. Thin rice noodles with your choice of grilled meats together with beansprouts, cucumber, lettuce, pickled carrots. Topped off with peanuts, scallions and fried onions. Chili garlic sauce as a dressing. Bún Ðac Biet (Special Vermicelli Bowl: Grilled Shrimp, chicken, pork strips, and fried egg roll) is the one I ordered. It was very delicious but needed more "sauce" and peanuts. I will ordered from Pho 75 again!! I am a Pho Phan!!
Excellent hole in the wall within a shopping plaza with ample parking. Simple menu which I like being that their specialty is Phở. The House Special Beef Phở was outstanding- treat yourself go for the large portion. Loaded with different cuts of beef. The broth was heavenly! A side dish (basil, veggies ) consisting of soup add ins accompanied the Phở. Tip: add a bit of the hot chili sauce located on the table if you like a tad more spice. The owner was very welcoming and clearly took pride in his amazing food served. The inside of the restaurant was clean.
Yummy Vietnamese spot on sunrise. Have ordered from here a couple times and the food is always good for a fair price. Haven't ate in the restaurant because i always take out but it's decorations are cute and people who work there are always really nice. Ate my eggs rolls and banh mi so quick didn't remember to take a picture but here's updated menu

The location is kinda hidden too find this gem you gotta keep your eyes open. This resturant have great lunch specials. Every weekday has a 3 special plates one soup, one noodle and rice plates. Thier upgrade on extra noodles are fantastic only $1. The service is super qucik, it's family owen and everyone is very friendly and helpful. I got to taste the vermicelli noodle with chicken and extra noodles. The special is such a greeeet portion I wasn't able to finish it all. At first I thought it was gonna be a small that's why I had ordered extra noodle. The pricing of $8.99 for a basicly med bowl was great! If your curious about this place deff try it out. read more

The cleanliness of this place exceeded my expectations. The food flavor was amazing, I had the special fried rice platter and when I tell you they marinate their shrimp, chicken and short ribs well, they definitely do! I had their pho a while back and their quality for meats and noodles are aldente and great! Friendly family owned restaurant! Now my go to Vietnamese! In search for our next favorite Pho place, we found Pho 78 on Yelp! I love Pho, and when it comes with my Pho, I am very picky and critical in terms of it's quality and authenticity in both the broth and the noodle. For that reason, I did not have much expectation before walking through the front door. It seems that this place has been in business for a while, but I never noticed it existed. We walked in and somehow I just did not feel the "Pho vibe" in the air. We sat down and started looking over their menu. I skipped everything else and went straight to the Pho section. I'll give them one thing, the do have a large variety of Pho combinations. You can pick different types of meat to go with your dish. For me, I just picked the basics: rib round steak and brisket while my wife ordered the dry noodle. We started off with the fried egg roll appetizer. The dish did not look pleasant to our eyes but it tasted better than it looked. It was crispy outside while the stuffing inside was decent. Then I got my Pho. I order the small bowl, but it does not seem worth $6.95 for that portion. The broth, which to me is the most important part of the dish, was just okay. At least it was not salty like most other places I tried. The steaks were just okay and nothing special worth mentioning. My wife's dry dish were just average at best. The pork in her noodle was way too salty for my taste, and was chewy because it was overcooked. At the end, we left unsatisfied and let down. On top of all that, the service was not too good neither. But, you rarely receive good service in most Asian restaurants anyway so that was expected. Overall, based on the food we tried, we will probably not be back. read more
Decent pho place but not mind blowing. I think I was spoiled living in Orlando where any restaurant in Viet town had amazing homemade pho. Here in south Florida, none have lived up to my standards. Pho 78 is clean and the server was polite. I ordered a fried egg roll appetizer to share and two small bowls of pho with tendon. Mine I had added rare flank steak and tripe. The egg rolls were airy and flaky on the outside and the stuffing was tasty on the inside. It had meat and veggies mix but very deliciously compared to the dry tasteless ones I've had at other places. The soup for the pho wasn't oily but it wasn't super flavorful either. It was a bit bland but after adding a bit of hoisin sauce, it tasted a little better. There was plenty of steak and big chunks of tendon but barely any tripe. Completely got jipped on that. There were maybe 3 little pieces total... Overall, if you're desperately craving pho and have no other choice, try this one. I wasn't blown away though. read more

It's Summer and feels like 100F and very humid but for me, there is never a bad time to have a hot steaming bowl of Pho. The AC is not great, and I slurp the soup while wiping off sweat from my face. Tried the egg rolls too, and it's comfort food. There is not much service (to be expected) and they don't take AMEx. read more

Don't let the (not so pretty) plaza fool you. The Pho soup is out of this world! Piping hot servings with fresh crisp veggies and herbs. It's a clean and casual restaurant with delicious Vietnamese food. A hidden gem! read more

Cute little Vietnamese restaurant in the corner of their plaza Very relaxing and calm environment to come have lunch. They have relaxing piano music playing. The server was quick and prompt to answer all of my questions. The food was faster than expected and the taste was SO fresh. They beautifully plate it as well. Would definitely come here again or recommend to a friend My only complaint is that the sauces did not have labels so I had to try each one. read more

Under New management and I'm happy to say I'm very impressed with the QUALITY of the food. We had the Shrimp and Pork fresh rolls, Bahn Mi, Shrimp fried rice and to drink the Thai Tea and freshly made Lemonade. The food had a certain freshness and tastiness to it that I've not seen since in a while. I cannot wait to come back to try their Pho. read more

It was a little hole in the wall and I'm happy I found it! I was actually going to Brandon's Vietnamese food on a Wednesday but it was closed. I was with my aunt and I wanted her to have a foodie experience, so the closest PHO spot was a block down, PHO 75. My aunt loved it! And so did i! I had the summer rolls, spring rolls, brisket and steak PHO and vermicelli. Everything was phenomenal! read more
Nothing tops Pho on a cold or rainy day! It comes out piping hot pretty quickly after ordering too! I haven't tried any other dishes except pho here so I can only speak on that. Their broth is on the light side, clear and not heavy, so if you're looking for strong flavor you may want to search for ramen elsewhere. It's a very casual small but not tiny spot in a strip mall with a Bravo & supplement health store I frequent. It's not a fancy area . But this no frills spot is perfect if you're sick or just want to slurp noodles with a good friend ! read more

Stopped in randomly when I was in the area. It was pretty empty initially, but as time passed it got pretty busy. I was seated instantly. The menu has a lot. It took me some time to decide, but I finally picked pho with a variety of meat (#23). It was kind of creepy how fast the food came out. Don't even remember think it took up to 2 minutes. The small bowl was a good size. I pretty much finished it all, but I was full. The flavors were great. They also give you bean sprouts and other vegetables to add to your pho to taste. There's a few sauces on the table as well, and I asked for some chili oil on the side to add some spice. I ordered some egg rolls (2) which were like $5. They were good but I think that's overpriced. Nice small, family environment. It's not fancy or anything but it's cozy. Food was really good though so I'll definitely be back when I want some Viet food. read more

Very disappointed with the spring rolls and bun bo hue. Spring rolls were missing the herbs. Bun bo hue came with different kind of rice vermicelli and was missing pork blood. Pretty expensive! read more

The food was very tasty the rice was flavorful be prepared well egg was a nice touch. The restaurant was very clean very sanitary they had plenty of signs up and napkins to touch doorhandles in light of the situations going on today. Very good customer service. Would return to the restaurant. read more

Why does businesses have speakers and not use them? Like are they Best Buy, that's why they're displaying electronics????? Why can't they just turn on the music to drown out the broken fridge buzzing sound? I stumbled among here because I tried going to Noodle House (closed) and then pho Brandon (closed). I was determined to have pho for dinner, and I was willing to settle for mediocre pho. Which is exactly what I got here! My expectation was low, but it was better than I had expected. The ambience of this place could be better to make customers feel more welcome because the service or should I say non existent service is served as cold as ice water. I ordered chicken pho, and it was okay. There was no customer when I walked in, but two more tables came in after I did. Food did come out fast so that was great! I probably wouldn't be back unless I'm running into the same situation again (praying that I won't). read more

So not good. I was really excited to try this place. I drove 30 minutes south, in a thunderstorm, with tornado warning alerts going off on my phone the whole drive down. I was determined to try a new Pho place and to love it. That didn't happen. My husband and I were the only customers in here so it was creepy quiet. I was seated quickly, given a menu, placed my order and the food came out fast, but, it was horrible. I ordered the chicken pho bowl and the chicken tasted extremely freezer burnt immediately upon biting into it, even worse was that as you chewed it, it turned into the consistency of cardboard and really was inedible. I ate none of the chicken. My husband ordered the same and spit his chicken out. He refused to eat any of the pho, I ate my noodles. There was nothing else but a few onions and some cilantro in the bowl. The pork spring rolls were not pork, there is no way it was pork, it had to be really charred, chewy beef. I am 99.9% sure it was not pork and it tasted disgusting. It had a chemical taste finished with charred sour beef. I took one bite and refused to try it again. The bahn mi sandwich did have pork, which is what we ordered, but it was sickly sweet, it tasted like they put pork on the bread and smothered it in maple syrup. Was here this for lunch this week for the first time.. good food/quick service... good prices... Back again today for the 50% off menu specials Ordered the shrimp summer rolls very good... And the grilled pork chop and fried rice for lunch the other day... Rice was very good but the pork chop was super thin.. Today ordered the Beef Noodle PHO Soup and the Grilled Chicken with Fried Rice both dishes were $5.00 on special.... Both dishes were good.. Straight up: the service is not why I keep coming back to 78. You will have read the complaints of others here so let's just admit that the service is very rough. The waiters are definitely not charm school graduates. However I have found them to be efficient enough, except on the (fairly frequent) occasions when the front of house is understaffed (or entirely deserted). On my last visit I saw a family of four come in, stand around awkwardly when no one appeared to greet them, eventually decide to seat themselves, then get up and leave when no one had acknowledged their existence after about 5 minutes. In my experience the staffing tends to be better around "standard" meal times, eg 12-2, 6-8 etc - but gets thin in between. Okay, but the food is good. I think it's the best Vietnamese in West Broward. You have a lot of choices. Reasons not to choose 78 include the service, and the lack of beer. The latter is often a deal breaker for me. Must be the British in me lol. But the food keeps me coming back. They do a mean bahn mi here - I think it competes very solidly with 545 down in Davie. I also love the pork chop platter and the pho. And the spring rolls are addictive. Vietnamese iced coffee - yum. So personally, I forgive them for anything else and just come and eat and enjoy. read more

Meh just OK for me. Went w/ moms for lunch, she was feeling under the weather so I thought this was a good choice to take her. We both ordered the mixed beef pho, it's the one that has a piece of all their beef cuts. What I wasn't expecting was the tripe and this other mystery meat that seemed more like fatty/gelatinous/tendon-esk, weird meat that was in there. We both did not like that very much. *shaking head NO* Service was fine, place was clean, the sides were served bountifully, the broth was good, but the meat scared me. Small bowl was like $7 and the medium bowl was like $8.50. The small is HUGE and plentiful enough for one maybe 2. We also ordered the spring rolls to start, those were really good. Mom also ordered hot tea, huge teapot came out and still had leaves floating around in it, no sweetener was offered. Their menu is VAST with some 40+ different kinds of soup so maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. I'm not going back to tell you unfortunately if that was a true statement or not... Basalic is much better! Go there. read more

Not a bad visit at Pho 78. I absolutely loved the Bahn Mi sandwich! The pork was so tender and flavorful. There was also the perfect amount of veggies and cilantro. It was a bit on the small side, but very tasty. I also tried their Pho. It wasn't the best I have ever had, but it was very good. I wish there had been a little more meat in the soup. The taro boba tea was just okay. I think there were only like 10 tapioca beads in my entire drink, and they were all stuck together. It was pretty disappointing. The taro aspect of the drink was delicious though. Tip- split the bahn mi sandwich and a medium bowl of Pho with your date. More than enough food for 2 people!! read more

Located in a not-so-nice strip mall with Bravo Supermarket and the IHOP so it's not a place that easily visible from the street. Low-budget interior with high-level food. Had the Hot & Sour Seafood Rice Noodle Soup (small $9.95) and it was perfectly spicy, had the right mix of seafood, plenty of rice noodles and was very filling. Before it's served, the server will put down a plate of raw bean sprouts and greens. It is not a salad! You add those ingredients into the soup when you receive it. Soup came out quick, it was delicious and the atmosphere was extremely casual. Will come back here again to try another soup. read more
AMAZING PHO!!!!!! We came from California and was used to eating authentic pho. It was so amazing to find this place and discover their pho and banh mi's are comparable to LA! The flavor is spot on, the prices are super cheap and man oh man, that banh mi was incredible. I got the shrimp pho and it had a perfect seafood broth. My babe got the 3 meat pho and he gobbled that thing up. We cannot wait to come back! read more

Fell in love with a soup. Fell in love once and almost completely. Pho 78 was my first official encounter with Vietnamese food. Being an almost rabid Anthony Bourdain fan, every time I saw him running his mouth and going on and on about Pho in Hanoi, I had to have it. My girl and I dove right into this casual and bright place, and were seated right away. Again, we were comforted by the fact that the majority of customers were Asian (I can assume Vietnamese). We ordered the Egg Rolls to start, I ordered a medium bowl of Pho with brisket (Chin) and my fiancee ordered the Vietnamese pork sausage Bahn Mi. The order came out lightning fast. The medium bowl of Pho was huge, the Bahn Mi was nice and tasty and the egg rolls were great (but a little overpriced for what you get). The Pho was so delicious that my fiancee set the Bahn Mi aside and ordered a small bowl of it. This broth, was magical. The thinly sliced brisket had just the right amount of fat, and it was so tender it almost melted in your mouth and the flavors only got better over time. I am in love. We closed the meal with a passion fruit boba tea and proceeded to drive home in a stupor of happiness. We are now in a food coma, and I can't wait to head back. read more
