As a former IT guy and veteran who had drifted into IT technical writing, translation and…read morelocalization, but who had remained working in IT as a consultant, I was pleased to find a place to finally certify my knowledge and grab another degree. CIAT has several very well-designed degree and certificate programs, ranging from Data Analysis and Software Development to Networking Technology and Cybersecurity. Their program lengths run the gamut from 10-week certificate programs to BSc degrees, and all of them include preparation for and multiple attempts at industry standard and vendor certification. From the A+ to the PMP, CISSP and Azure or AWS Professional certifications, you'll find it here, and all of it transferable. If you have preexisting degrees like I do, you will likely be allowed to skip the general education portion of your studies and move right into your major curricula. No retaking courses! The support staff are flexible, reach out often and want to see you succeed, as do the quite accomplished professors. They offer online-attended (live) and self-paced, pre-recorded courses and extra short courses (including free practice software!) to prepare for your certification exams. Career support, including job placement in the industry you want to enter while you study, is available. I always mistrusted private tech colleges, but CIAT gets it right.

It's so devastating hearing that Because of how incompetent they are. This is what I mean stay on top of them. I want to cry it's extremely frustrating When you rely on these funds for you and your family. Staff is clueless, so no real help there If you have questions. You will get 6 different answers, there is no standard rule, or set of rules. No one knows anything. Even if you're directed to the HEAD of the department you need. Rules can sometimes change without notification. Oh you're a veteran? Stay on their ass HEAVY, call every single day about enrollment for new terms so you can get paid. Some of them will sit on your enrollment for days and you actually have to remind them to send it up. I've gotten 3 times: "Oh, I forgot, let me do that now." WTF!? i even have a girl change my exam status to hybrid the entire time when I told her I'd be online after a certain month At the start of a new term. this is not great, because I would have to pay funds back for a status i wasn't actively using I caught it last minute before the start of the next term. Would have had to pay back $5k for that. Hybrid exam -_- get someone to thoroughly explain what needs to be done. This school needs tons of work.

Hello. I have been a part of Ms. Shay's AM CMA course and I just want to say that she is the best…read moreinstructor I have ever met. She truly has a strong passion for teaching this CMA course and she is great at it. She is the epitome of compassion, professionalism, and respect. I have learned so much from her class and I have learned many lessons that I will for sure use in the future. Thank you so much Ms. Shay, you have truly restored my love for medicine and I cannot thank you enough for your understanding and compassion for everything. Now let's move onto the reason why I reviewed a 4 star instead of a 5. I feel that this school needs to upgrade its lab equipment because a lot of it is outdated and not provided for students in bulk. Students need to practice as much as they can in this program before getting out in the real world and more lab equipment would help this so we can get more practice before performing different things on people. The second concern I have about this program is the amount of trouble my graduation class has faced from trying to obtain an externship. There was a strong lack of professionalism and efficiency because many students did not have a definite commitment to an externship up to our last lab day which is not okay. However, I just want to shoutout Ms. Shay for an amazing CMA class and Mrs. Ling for being efficient in signing me up for the program

I enrolled in the phlebotomy program at this school because I was promised, in writing, that I…read morewould be placed in an externship within 3-4 months. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I have now been waiting over 5 months with no externship placement. This delay has prevented me from completing my program requirements and starting work as a phlebotomist, which has caused both financial and professional setbacks. I have reached out multiple times for updates and have not been given a clear timeline or resolution. For a program that markets itself as a path to employment, this lack of follow-through is extremely concerning. If you are considering enrolling, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about externship placement timelines and guarantees, and getting everything in writing. Based on my experience, delays can and do happen, and they can significantly impact your ability to start working after completing the program. I hope the school improves its process and communication so future students do not face the same situation. DO NOT GO HERE! LOOK FOR OTHER SCHOOLS!

If so, I highly suggest you check out SET High (formerly Coleman Tech Charter School). Our son graduated from SET High last year and now our daughter is attending and we couldn't be happier. She is only in 9th grade and already taking on leadership roles. The teachers exceed my expectations. They know each student by name, have great relationships with them. My son's former teachers are always happy to see him when he goes to visit, which is often. He even gave graduation presents TO some of his teachers before he left. The students are geeky, wacky, nerdy, different, intelligent, unique, confident, and wonderful! My daughter said that she didn't want to go to any other school because she is with "her people" and she is right. Dr. McCurdy said in last year's commencement speech, "If you aren't failing, you aren't learning." What a great place to make mistakes, learn from them, and make improvements. I'm so excited for the students attending SET High because they are learning real-world skills at such an early age in a supportive, caring, and fun environment. You won't find a better school for your student!

After the first 2 weeks I was amazed. The staff at ATC is not how others describe: their people just like anyone else: they are caring while they have their own problems, their supportive even if they are tired. They like to have fun and have no problem sharing/recommending a good hangout spot and their experience. Yet, they retain a great level of professionalism...they back up all their certifications and years of knowledge and experience. I had the privilege to have Mr. Jerry help me with my enrollment, specially since I'm a veteran. The processing was smooth and my questions and concerns were covered clearly. The staff at the financial aid department, a very loving and caring group of very talented and dedicated women to the success of every student, took care of all inquiries in a diligent and prompt manner. The student services team, Mz. Alma Carranza and Mz. Raean Olivares, tirelessly work around the clock submitting resumes and matching job positions for every student, while keeping updates with each and everyone of them on a regular basis. Mr. G, a fiber optics, cabling and baseball fan, will teach you and over teach you! Veteran Sonar Tech, now instructor, has the diligence and high standard that "if the student is not getting the necessary info, then he has failed the student" kind of guy. Laid back yet focused on every subject. Mr. Finally, quiet, with the right comments for the appropriate scenario. He doesn't "beat around the bush", he tells you how it is and makes sure you get it right. Fan of a good carne asada/steak burrito lol! Mr. Q, by far a guru of computers and network in the most fun of environments. He has reviewed many technologies and can nearly pinpoint the ups and downs of things. Works very well with everyone and will have you knowing every blinking light on the network! Mz. G, very talented and sweet. Has the calmness of a monk yet dedication is far from flawed. These are just a few of the educating staff I had the privilege to learn from. ATC, although small, has a decent resource center that you can access anytime! Even after you graduate! The books for the current class your in are yours to keep as your "to go" reference along with the support from the instructors. The college floor is neat and very clean. A break room for students is available with vending machines for your everyday pick me up. Classes are very accommodating for anyone's life style. AM classes to PM and there is even a small evening/after-hours class. The class environment is what you make out of it, everyone is there: from your daily average guy, to the ones that are looking for another chance in life. ATC welcomes them all for all deserve a chance. I'm an ATC graduate, Nov 8th, 2016 and I am certified as an IT technician and a certified fiber optics technician by the FOA( yes, the do provide certification for various fields, just ask) during my time, I did receive a stipend for transportation. Plus, awards for attending and scores on test. There is more than meets the eye than the reviews from others. Take it from me: try for yourself, but stick to the end! I'll be glad to answer any questions if you hit me up. Have fun and enjoy your time at ATC! PS: for got to mention, since graduation, I've had 8 leads for jobs that cover field of study and 3 are literally fighting to hire me. They back up their word on job location for students. Seriously, what else you got to lose while you wait to move on.... Give them a try!
