This is the 12th vehicle from a dealership that I've purchased but I've been to 100s of dealers in my 41 years. I can tell you that most dealer experiences I've had were stressful and I felt like I was being manipulated and lied to bc I was a woman. But this time was different. I found the perfect truck, the truck of my dreams but bc of my credit and coming out of a divorce I knew that I wouldn't get approved but hey it was worth a shot. I had to at least try. Scott greeted me and answered all the questions I had about the truck. He was upfront and honest about a lot of things that most dealers aren't, so right off the bat I felt like I could trust him. He bent over backwards for me and my kids bc he knew how much it meant to us. After sending out apps to several banks and getting turned down he told me to wait 15 more mins, that he was hopeful and knew he could find someone who would finance me. 15 mins later he said "we got you approved" and I cried, I was in disbelief. Not only was I approved but he got me a rate that I've never had on any vehicle before in my life, and with bad credit at that. As I wiped the tears from my eyes I could see his eyes starting to tear up too. I knew he had a heart but I could see it now open on display. After finishing up the paperwork he then gave me his card and told me if I ever needed anything, if I was stranded on the side of the road to call him and he would be there. What salesman cares that much?? He pulled the truck up to the front and handed me the keys, then as my kids climbed into the back with the biggest smiles on their faces he then buckled them into their car seats. So of course I broke down again. Philpott Hyundai you got a great man working for you who actually has a soul and who touched mine and my kids lives yesterday. I'm still in disbelief. But one thing I do know, I will never get another vehicle from anyone else but Scott from here on out. Thank you Scott for what you did for my family! read more

I have had some good experiences here, but the service department has turned into a joke. I brought in a car for a broken HVAC and proceeded to argue with the Hyundai Platinum Protection warranty people and instead of submitting the pictures asked for, didn't submit anything, told me it was in denial and I had to contact HPP and to pick up the vehicle. I called HPP and was told they never submitted any documentation, so i took it back the next day and they had to do the same test. They submitted documentation and told me they never heard back. I finally called HPP again and they said they did not submit a picture of the leak and had requested a picture of the actual leak test.. I called back to Philpott and they told me I have to pay for the test because it is my warranties fault that they didn't ask for documentation in a timely manner. Then Crytsal got a bit heated blaming everything on someone else. This was after the first time she told me that she wouldn't give HPP a cell phone number to send the document link because Philpott didn't pay her cell phone bill and she had to leave early to see her daughter's volleyball game. I called back to HPP and they said that and they said they submitted a picture of the ports of the evaporator coil and the expansion valve disconnected, but no picture of it leaking. They also listed the leak on the expansion valve but were requesting a new evaporator coil, so HPP had no idea what was actually broken. I will never do business with any of the Philpott's now. They really went to crap when they moved the Hyundai to the other side of the highway. read more

Was ready willing and able to buy a brand new car yesterday and had the money lined up and this dealership added $2,147 in optional items and BS that I said I did not want or need such as tire and wheel package and clearcoat and other nonsense. The car hasn't even arrived at the dealer yet and they REFUSED to remove these optional items that I said I did not want. I was willing to pay full invoice plus mandatory fees etc...If this is how this dealership behaves with customers then I would say customers should go elsewhere as that is scumbag behavior and just trying to bleed more cash out of people. This is why car dealers get bad reputations as con artists and thieves. read more

I bought a new Accent at this dealership a few months ago. I am use to driving large vehicles with American name plates riveted to the front of them. However, the Accent is a great car for a compact. It is a hatchback and offers some space to use the car as a limited utility vehicle. I did transport a new BBQ grill for my brother-in-law about three weeks ago. It has some nice bells and whistles for an economically priced car (under $20k). I like the Bluetooth connectivity and the input for my MP3 and Ipod. It even has a USB port and I can charge my phone if need be for that. The sales experience was about as good as it can get. My salesman was new, but still knowledgeable of the cars and features in them. We discussed what would best fit my needs and the price I wanted to spend. He suggested the Accent or the Veloster. The Veloster looks sportier, but I am getting to old to constantly get in and out of those lower riding cars. So I got the Accent SE. It gets excellent fuel economy and still has a little pep to it when you floor it. Of course it does not have the power of the muscle cars I loved as a younger fella, but it is sufficient. My salesman put my paperwork through on a Friday evening and I was driving out in my new car on Monday. At delivery, he went through all the features of the car in detail with me and synced my phone to the car for me. We briefly went over maintenance and warranty and all the other typical stuff when buying a new car. I think the service department is what impresses me the most out of this whole thing. I went to have my first oil change and they treated me like a friend even though we had never met. They showed me the waiting area with a big TV, coffee, and coffee. The room had nice big comfy chairs and couches. I started hearing a squeal type noise after turning the car off. When I took it in for them to look at fix, it would not make the noise. Just my luck! Anyhow, they had an educated guess as to what it could be and decided to replace the air-condition blower motor. They had seen a few cases of that in the past. So they ordered the part and I went back to have it installed. Again they greeted me like a friend and then got busy. They had the old motor out, and the new one in in no time flat. I really should have timed it, but it seems it only took an hour or so to complete. When I got home, the noise was still there, but I have give credit where due. A dealership that tries to fix an issue without hearing the issue is pretty stand-up in my book. If I could just convince my car to make that noise AT the dealership... To sum it up, I am very pleased with Philpott Hyundai along with the product they sell and service. I would recommend them to any of my friends. read more

The Philpott Hyundai service department serviced my Senota awhile back, and made some minor mistakes, no big deal. We all make mistakes, but then they avoided responsibility and have not followed-up. Here is the story. I asked for the full-service inspection, and new tires. They started to change the tires, but didn't have the correct parts to complete the job, so I ended-up driving home on the spare tire. I was not too concerned about it, we all make mistakes. The next service appointment, they claimed they were done, so I drove home. The day after that, I awoke to find my car sitting on the rims on the right side. Both right side tires had completely deflated. So, once again, I returned. They never provided explanation, and said the fact that I used fix-a-flat now meant that they can't really diagnose the cause. I called Michelin and they said I would need to work with the local service department in order to make the Warranty claim. Long story short, the service department never honored the warranty, didn't replace the tires. The customer service rep actually pointed at the warranty card and said something like "It doesn't say who to call." They avoided responsibility and didn't honor the Michelin warranty. The national Michelin customer service was only able to advise that I needed to make the claim with the service department that installed the tires. Furthermore, the Philpott service department never followed-up to confirm the issue was resolved. This was awhile back, and the issue was never resolved. You will have better luck using Modica Brothers for tires. read more
